8 Regulatory Markings Traffic paint Ennis-Flint manufacture a full line of traffic paints in both water borne and solvent-based formulations, engineered to meet your specification. Formulated for streets and motorways to parking lots, waterborne traffic paints are suitable for asphalt, chipseal and concrete substrates. These can be sprayed with airless or conventional spray equipment. Solvent-based traffic paints are co-polymer based and are ideal for colder ambient conditions where waterborne may not be deployed. Hot Applied Thermoplastic Thermoplastic pavement marking material is a 100% solid compound containing glass beads, pigments, binder and filler which becomes liquid when heated. In liquid form, the thermo plastic may be applied using standard industry applicators, including hand-liners and truck-mounted equipment. Intermixed and drop-on glass beads provide retro-reflectivity for night-time visibility of pavement markings. Preformed Thermoplastic Ennis-Flint manufacture a complete range of durable pre-formed thermo plastic products engineered for optimal performance, lasting value and to maximise your pavement marking program. Ideal for transverse markings and inter - section applications, Ennis- Flint Preform is formulated with the highest quality resin, binder, aggregate, glass bead, and pigment systems, ensuring consistent thickness and composition to meet specifications. Precut and ready-to-apply, preformed thermoplastic is simple to apply using a heat torch. 8

9 Waterborne and solvent based paint, preformed thermoplastic, hot applied thermoplastic, and cold applied plastic road marking systems Cold Applied Plastic roadmarkings Ennis-Flint offers a full line of plural component methyl methacrylate (MMA) traffic marking materials in a combination of monomers, polymers and pigments. When mixed with the appropriate catalyst in a proven ratio, they react exothermically to form a durable, thermoset road marking. These durable products are formulated to create a highly stable bond between themselves and the substrate. They offer excellent retro-reflectivity systems in combination with the correct specified beads. Raised pavement markers Launched as the first pavement marker over 45 years ago, Stimsonite markers are the benchmark for innovation, quality and value. These markers play an important safety function, communicating safe travel path and delineation in the wet, and decreasing crash rates on highways with RPM centre lines. Glass beads Pavement-marking retro-reflectorisation uses glass beads partially embedded on the surface of the pavement marking material. Light rays entering the glass beads are retroreflected back to the driver to significantly improve pavement marking visibility in low light situations and wet driving conditions. Ennis-Flint offers multiple grades of beads to meet all regulatory requirements. 9

10 Coloured Markings Ennis-Flint offers several product technologies, in a variety of colours, to promote clear under - standing of a dedicated-lane s purpose to shared-roadway users as well as decorative trafficscapes. Unique in application and performance, these technologies are ideal for streetscape and lane treatment projects where shared roadway safety and aesthetic appeal must work in conjunction. Preferential-lane colour treatments These treatments increase the lane s visibility, identify potential conflict areas and promote the dedicated lane s purpose to shared-roadway users (commonly cycleways, bus lanes and pedestrian shared walkways). Materials applied over large-area markings must be formulated to expand and contract with the substrate and changing temperatures, otherwise they can crack or delaminate from the surface. Longlife Cold Applied Plastics are an ideal choice and combine state-of-the-art methyl methacrylate (MMA) resin compound with hardwearing aggregates and premium pigments. This extremely durable, highly visible and colour stable lane delineation treatment can be specified to meet the non-slip requirements for New Zealand and Australian roads. TrafficScapes TrafficScapes products include Preform Thermoplastic and coloured area markings. These products are engineered for durability, safety and aesthetics. Traffic Scapes products are designed to: improve safety, especially at intersections and multi-use paths enhance visibility for pedestrians, motorists and cyclists channel pedestrians across busy commercial parking areas promote and/or revitalise community image. 10
