2 Overview Naval Radio Limited is a privately-owned limited company based in Chile, South America, which offers a complete spectrum of products, services and solutions for the marine industry, including on-board and shore-based applications. The company specialises in the installation, repair, maintenance, inspection and certification of marine systems, electronic and electrical equipments and devices; project development and implementation for the maritime and port industry; sale of marine spare parts and technical consultancy. Histor y Naval Radio was founded in Valparaíso, Chile, in 1997, by Russian electronic engineer Andrey Goriachev, with the objective to offer a complete marine service to foreign ships arrived in Chilean ports. In 2000, specialized engineering personnel were hired, especially from the electrical and computing fields. Later on, the company relocated to larger facilities, in order to face the constantly increasing market demand for marine goods and services. Operations, Service and Sales departments were formed, the workforce doubled, and the management structure was reorganised. In 2005, a branch office was opened in Talcahuano ( s o u t h e r n C h i l e ), to improve the average response time in the region and further extend the company's service and logistics coverage. In July 2007, Naval Radio was granted ISO certification by Germanischer Lloyd, which has been subsequently renewed and upgrade to the latest standard (ISO 9001:2008). In order to expand its operations and properly cover the needs of the region, Naval Radio opened offices abroad. In 2009, Naval Radio opened offices in Peru, offering a highly-trained technical staff and a diverse stock of spare parts. In 2011, a new office Ecuador was opened, having its own technical staff and spare parts. In 2013, Naval Radio started operations in Antofagasta (northern Chile), to offer immediate attendance in any port of the area. Currently, the company has 40 members in its work team, considering all the offices, 20 of which are qualified service engineers and technicians.
