1 EJD Portal How-To Guide TOPIC: Special Order and Stock Reserve A. Special Order Allows customers to order product from other servicing RSCs. Allows customers to take quantities from other servicing RSCs where items are in stock. Customers have access to additional quantities. B. Stock Reserve Allows customers to reserve product from their servicing RSC. Customers can request product be reserved for items that are low in inventory. Allows customers to have guaranteed inventory for specific items. IMPORTANT: The procedures for both Special Orders and Stock Reserve are similar. A designation will be made in the Shipping Options window. Additional shipping fees may apply. 1) Once logged into the portal, search for the item to be ordered. 2) View quantity available in your servicing RSC and select Special Order to the right. 1

2 3) A pop-up appears with all RSCs and their available inventory. Consider the following information: Will quantities in other RSCs meet the store s minimum needs? If there is not enough in supply, consider submitting as a Special Order when selecting Shipping Options. TIP: Clicking the Special Order button is not a requirement for checkout. However, it will provide valuable information for decision making prior to checkout. See Step 10. 4) Close the pop-up. 5) Enter the quantity desired into the quantity field and click Add to Cart. 6) A pop-up appears informing you the items were added to the cart. Press OK or exit out. 2

3 7) Click on Shopping Cart in the right corner. Shopping Cart 8) Select the cart which includes the item you added and click Checkout. 3

4 9) A pop-up appears to confirm whether the order is standard replenishment or special order. Click No this is a special Order, and Checkout. 10) An Order Checkout pop-up appears. Enter any information required for the store and select Order Type. Click Continue. Ship immediately to store address o Below are the Shipping Options (rates vary by selection and RSCs chosen). Ground 5 day 2nd Day delivery Next Day Air o List of all RSCs and available inventory is displayed in order of shipping cost from lowest to highest. o Order quantity will be displayed in the lowest cost to serve RSC. A store can override the default to select from any RSC. A store can also split quantity across multiple RSCs if needed to get the full order quantity filled. o The store can enter a quantity in an RSC or modify the default quantity. Then, click Recalculate to see freight charges. o Note: If the item/quantity ordered is oversized per shipping guidelines, a freight rate will not display and a message pop-up will appear directing to call the Care Center for the actual freight charge and other special handling requirements. 4

5 o Complete Checkout as normal. Ship immediately to different address (customer) o Enter the Shipping Address and click Validate. o Below are the Shipping Options (rates vary by selection and RSCs chosen). 6 Ship in my regular truck (Stock Reserve) o This selection only allows the store to pull inventory in their servicing RSC. o This creates a Stock Reserve and allocates the quantity entered to their store. This option truly is to reserve items/quantities needed as Special Orders not as a workaround to normal replenishment ordering. There is no option to fill from another RSC. o Complete Checkout as normal. TROUBLESHOOTING: Call the Emery Jensen Care Center for any issues (866) If the item/quantity ordered is oversized per shipping guidelines, a freight rate will not display and a message pop-up will appear directing to call the Care Center for the actual freight charge and other special handling requirements. 6
