Pictures of the loading area can be found on When not loading/unloading, all exhibitor vehicles, trucks, and transport must be parked on the north corner of the parking lot. Exhibitors should not utilize the front or side entrances of the hotel to load materials. During setup, please consolidate workers and tools using a minimum number of vehicles. No vehicles will be allowed to stand idle. Break down will be identical to setup. All displays must vacate the hotel by 10:00 PM. Exhibits must be attractive and clean at all times and must be in place, ready to show, no later than 9:00 AM on Saturday, March 4. The Show's closing hour of 5:00 PM on Sunday, March 5 has been established for the convenience of both exhibitors and patrons. NO displays will be allowed off the exhibit floor prior to 5:00 PM. DURING THE MOVE OUT PERIOD BE PACKED UP AND READY TO MOVE OUT BEFORE BRINGING YOUR VEHICLE TO THE DOCK. 2

DIRECTIONS TO MYSTIC MARRIOTT The Mystic Marriott is located at 625 North Road (Route 117) Groton, Connecticut Heading North on I- 95, take exit 88 and turn left on to North Road (Route 117). Heading South on I-95, take exit 88 and turn right onto North Road (Route 117). EXHIBITOR PARKING In order to maximize parking spaces for the public during show hours, exhibitors must park along Poheganut Drive, or in the commuter parking lot 1/10 of a mile north of Poheganut Road. Parking is not allowed on Route 117 per Town Police. You WILL be towed! SHOW DECORATOR Exhibitor shall be responsible for providing booth equipment. Tables and chairs are NOT PROVIDED, as outlined in your booth contract, and other items such as extra carpeting and extra lighting etc. are not provided. SER Exposition Services is our exclusive show decorator for tables, chairs, accessories, etc. Call or see pages 7-8 for more information. ELECTRICITY/TECHNOLOGY The Mystic Marriott will provide electrical or internet service upon request through PSAV. See page 10 for order form. It is your responsibility to order the services you require. FORKLIFTS There are no forklifts available for use. EXHIBITOR ACCOMODATIONS Room rate for exhibitors is $139 plus tax for standard rooms on that Friday and Saturday evening. Call Marriott Reservations at or visit Deadline for reduced rate is 2/23. Food may be purchased from concessions located in Conference Room 5 throughout the show. Conference Room 4 is also reserved as an Exhibitor Lounge for vendors to take a break, host meetings, etc. 3

5 REGULATIONS BOOTH REGULATIONS Hanging or attaching signs or any other booth equipment, materials or lighting from any part of Mystic Marriott is not allowed. Stages, if used in exhibits, must face the inside of the booth in order to prevent the audience from blocking the aisles. All these regulations will be strictly enforced. Smoke and/or fog-producing machines are not allowed. Helium Balloons are not permitted at any time. Exhibitors will be responsible for providing, at their own expense, any security necessary for their exhibits. Mystic Marriott shall be the sole supplier of all food & beverage items for the HOME SHOW. Use of water in exhibit is allowed, but must be requested prior to the Show. Any damage resulting from the use of water will be at the Exhibitor s expense. Live animals of any kind (excluding Service Animals) are not allowed in the Mystic Marriott. STAFFING All exhibits must be staffed during published show hours. Exhibitors who do not staff their booths will not be permitted to reserve space in future shows. DEMONSTRATIONS/DISTRIBUTION Displays, demonstrations, or distribution of advertising material are not permitted outside the confines of the exhibitor s booth(s). In other words: NO WORKING THE AISLES. No loudspeakers will be permitted on the Show floor. Small sound amplification systems for captive-audience demos may be used. However, sound levels must be kept at a volume that management deems reasonable. Show management reserves the right to prohibit the exhibitor from using sound equipment for the remainder of the show. Failure to comply with these regulations can result in Show Management suspending the use of the Exhibitor s amplification equipment or discontinuing power to all or part of the booth. GIVEAWAYS/CONTESTS/PROMOTIONS Giveaways, contests, and promotions conducted by exhibitors must adhere to all applicable laws and must be of a clear-cut nature, free of any obligation on the part of the winner. The awards and the terms must be clearly stated on the entry form. BUILDING REGULATIONS Absolutely NO SMOKING is allowed the Mystic Marriott. 4

6 SALE OF MERCHANDISE AT THE SHOW All exhibitors are reminded to comply with all rules and regulations as required by the Town of Groton and the State of Connecticut. Exhibitors are responsible for obtaining any such permits as required. Only merchandise approved by the show may be sold. No food or drinks may be sold at the Mystic Marriott. CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE Exhibitors are required to carry certificates of insurance to cover them, their personnel and their property against damage or loss, and public liability insurance against injury to the person and property of others. All certificates shall have 10 days notice of cancellation and must be mailed to the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT office at 914 Hartford Tpke, Suite 206, Waterford, CT prior to exhibit setup, or sent via to or fax at Insurance requirements for all home show vendors. 1. The limit of General Liability has at a minimum $1,000,000 per occurrence. 2. Property Damage Liability in the minimum amount of $1,000, Workers Compensation insurance $100,000/$500,000/$100, The Eastern Connecticut Premier Home Show shall be named as the primary insured. 5. The Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Eastern Connecticut, Inc. 914 Hartford Tpk., Suite 206, Waterford, CT is to be listed as additional insured. 6. The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT, 914 Hartford Tpk., Suite 206, Waterford, CT to be listed as additional insured. 7. The Mystic Marriott, 625 North Road, (Route 117), Groton, CT is to be listed as additional insured if you are performing any type of live demonstration or retailing from your booth. LICENSES AND VENDOR PERMITS The Eastern CT Premier Home Show requires every new home construction contractor, every home improvement contractor and HIC salesperson participating in this home show to be registered with the State of CT and other trades to be licensed in CT as required. Your registration or license # is to be displayed at your booth. It is the responsibility of exhibitors to be registered as a vendor in the state of Connecticut and collect sales tax when applicable. 5

7 DISCLAIMERS Due to the number of companies exhibiting similar or related product lines, Show Management cannot guarantee that a company exhibiting similar products (including an exhibitor s competitor) will not be located in a nearby or adjoining booth space. Show Management reserves the right to change the floor plan (including but not limited to aisle spaces), without notice, in order to comply with fire, safety and accessibility regulations or provide, in its exclusive judgment, a safer, more satisfactory, attractive and successful home show. Admission to the Show is open to the public. Show Management makes reasonable attempts to attract qualified attendees to its show but does not guarantee specific volumes or levels of attendees. FIRE REGULATIONS * All fabrics and booth materials used for decoration must be flameproof. * Balloons or other inflatable objects are prohibited. * SMOKING IS PROHIBITED AT ALL TIMES IN THE HOTEL! SECURITY The Eastern CT Premier Home Show will take every reasonable precaution to safeguard and protect the property of exhibitors. Show management, the HBRAECT, the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT, the Mystic Marriott and their officers, contractors, or any of their officers, staff members or directors assume no responsibility for any damage, loss, harm or injury to the person or property of the exhibitor or any of its officers agents, employees or other representatives in the event of the theft, damage by fire, accident, vandalism or other causes. All property of the exhibitor is to remain under his or her custody and control in transit to, from or within the confines of the show floor area. LIABILITY Exhibitors are responsible for space leased to them and shall not mar, deface or injure same. Exhibitor shall not drive nails, hooks, tacks, screws or pins nor permit them to be driven into any part of the hotel. In addition, exhibitor shall not affix to windows or walls any advertisements, signs, etc. or use any adhesive-type material on building spaces. All vehicles shall have drip pan and / or protective material under them to safeguard the building floor from din, oil stains, etc. Anyone using chemicals is required to provide hotel with an MSDS sheet. By signing the show contract to exhibit, you assume responsibility for all of your employees' actions including all damages they may cause and agree to reimburse show management and the Mystic Marriott for any damage you or your personnel may cause. All boxes and trash are to be disposed of before departure. FINAL BOOTH SPACE PAYMENT OTHER Final booth space payment must be received immediately. ALL BOOTH SPACE MUST BE PAID IN FULL BEFORE AN EXHIBIT MAY BE SET UP ON THE SHOW FLOOR. Payments may be made by credit card by calling Lori Thompson at

8 EXHIBITOR BADGES Exhibitor badges may be picked up during setup on Friday, March 3, or Saturday March 4 at the at the North entrance of the Mystic Marriott.
