Routine preventive maintenance: carried out according to the maintenance calendar (e.g. oil and filter change, valves adjustment). 1.A.2. Extraordinary preventive maintenance: carried out according to the maintenance calendar with an interval of about 10,000 hours, where the most important maintenance is carried out after 30,000 hours of operation and is defined as Minor Overhaul. 1.B Predictive Preventive Maintenance: carried out following a prognosis deriving from analysis and subsequent assessment of the significant operating parameters. It allows improving and optimising the maintenance calendar. 2 Corrective Maintenance (unforeseeable extraordinary maintenance): carried out following detection of unforeseeable malfunctions and aimed at restoring proper plant operation. 2.A Deferred Corrective Maintenance: not carried out immediately after a failure has been detected, but deferred to the next preventive maintenance. 2.B Urgent Corrective Maintenance: carried out without delay after a malfunction has been detected in order to prevent more serious consequences. 8
