9540 Multibox 9541 Multibox End Panel General Information General Information Always read the instructions. Combisafe is not responsible for products that have been altered. An identification number is placed on the side hatch's labeling plate, as well as on the structure's corner edge, diagonally from this plate. Example: A A = Manufacturer's code, assigned by Combisafe 0233 = Year and week of manufacture 009 = Serial number _002 Picture 1. Identification number 3

Use 9540 Multibox 9541 Multibox End Panel Use Use the box only for its intended purpose. Maximum load is 1000 kg. Prevent material in the box from sliding around or overturning by anchoring it in the box's structure. Use the tension strap to anchor long items when the end panels are not in place. Avoid sudden stops or accelerations when lifting or lowering a loaded box. Lifting by Crane Use a suitable 4-part chain sling with a minimum allowed load of 1100 kg. The maximum lift angle between diagonally opposite parts is 60. Fasten the chain sling's hooks in to the lift loops (1) in the corners of the box. When lifting with a sling, attach the sling around the box through the feet (2) so that the sling does not slide together. Max 1000 kg Max _005 Picture 4. Lifting by crane 6

9540 Multibox 9541 Multibox End Panel Use Lifting by Forklift The box can be lifted from all four sides. The forklifts must be centred and moved in far enough so that the box is supported on both sides. Loading the Box Never over-load the box, the maximum load is 1000 kg. The end panels must always be attached when the box is loaded with small items. Never load the box with items that can fall out through the mesh. Remove the end panels when loading long items. Always secure long items with steel or tension strapping. The box has slits by the corner posts to make it possible to tie down long items _006 Picture 5. Slits by the corner posts Centre the items in the box to prevent the box from overturning. If the end panels are attached, always check before each use that these are attached correctly. Do not lift or move the box by hand. Do not lift heavy items into or out of the box by hand. Use the side hatch or end panels and position the box for manual handling of items. 7

Use 9540 Multibox 9541 Multibox End Panel Stacking Stack a maximum of four boxes on top of each other. Ensure that the boxes are sitting on an even, horizontal and stable surface. Ensure that the lift loops/corner posts are not bent or damaged and that they fasten correctly so that the boxes do not slide _007 Picture 6. Stacked boxes 8

9540 Multibox 9541 Multibox End Panel Use Use of End Panels Remove the end panels when loading long items. The box can be stacked even when the end panels are removed. Always ensure that the end panels are correctly assembled before using the box. The end panels can be attached in two positions. In the inner position the smallest internal dimension is 1090 mm _ Picture 7. End Panels in inner position With the end panels assembled in the outer position, the smallest internal dimension is 1182 mm _009 Picture 8. End Panels in outer position 9

Use 9540 Multibox 9541 Multibox End Panel Use of the Side Hatch The side hatch can be lowered to facilitate the handling of items into and out of the box. Lower the side hatch by lifting the hatch and then folding it down. Fold the hatch all the way down so that it doesn't get in the way _010 Picture 9. Opening the hatch The hatch may also be used in order to get at items when the boxes are stacked on top of one another. Ensure that nothing has fallen against the hatch and threatens to fall out when the hatch is opened. 10

9540 Multibox 9541 Multibox End Panel Use Connecting Boxes There are holes in the corner edges that make it possible to connect two boxes. This is useful in the packing of long items. Picture 10. Connected boxes, open It is also possible, while using end panels, to load items up to 2340 mm without the items sliding out _ _011 Picture 11. Connected boxes with end panels 11

Use 9540 Multibox 9541 Multibox End Panel It is also possible to divide a box with an end panel in the middle. Picture 12. Connected boxes, with end panels and divider A maximum of two boxes may be connected together. The maximum load in two connected boxes is 1000 kg. Lift angle is a maximum of 60. The connection is done with four M10x30 screws grade 8.8, as well as four M10 nylon lock nuts grade _ _013 Picture 13. Connecting boxes 12
