7 INTERROLL PLATFORM FOR PALLET CONVEYOR MODULES Fexibiity and robustness make the difference Customized appications The modues can transport paets with a weight of up to 1,200 kiogram at a maximum speed of 0.5 meters per second. The temperature range is from 28 to +40 degrees Cesius, which means that the MPP can even be used in the deep freeze area. Depending on the contro system used, it is possibe to design the system for different weights, run it at variabe speeds or integrate positioning functions. Space-saving design A conveyor soution, combining various modues, is instaed at a height of 350 miimeters, making it very easy to insert and remove the paets using a forkift truck. Lower assemby heights are aso possibe for a simpe conveyor ine. Minima instaation effort The modues are perfecty matched and each deivered fuy pre-assembed, minimizing instaation time. The appication notes support you during the panning and dimensioning of conveyor systems, as we as during the seection of Interro conveyor modues. The appication notes offer the foowing: Basic rues for troube-free transport Decision-making aids for product seection Cacuation exampes for the dimensioning of the conveyor modues and drive performances Weight casses In genera, Interro groups conveyor technoogy by the weight of the conveying good into the foowing casses: Up to 35 kg: Light Up to 500 kg: Medium Up to 1,500 kg: Heavy This cataog incudes conveyor modues up to 1,200 kg, i.e., up to part of the Heavy weight cass. In addition, your Interro customer representative wi be happy to assist you in the seection of conveyor modues, especiay if you require specific measures due to specia conveying gogds or environmenta conditions. 43 APPLICATION NOTES CONVEYING GOOD Conveying good The permissibe dimensions, weight and conveying speed of the conveying good may not be exceeded, see "Technica data. The oad capacity of the paet must be sufficient for the weight of the conveying good. The weight must be eveny distributed on the paet. For roer conveyors, more than three conveyor roers must be ocated under the conveying good at a times. Conveying good dimensions, oad stabiity and how the oad is secured determine the conveying speed. The conveying good overhang on the paet may not exceed 50 mm on any side. Ony the types of paets specified for the modue may be transported. The conveying good height FGH depends on the center of gravity of the oad. Height of center of gravity < 1/2 conveying good height Prerequisites for a safe transport: A outside ong boards (1) are compete and undamaged. A cross boards are compete (2) and undamaged at the corners. The ower center board (3) is present and undamaged. There are no breaks aong the entire ength. A corner beams (4) are compete and not broken crosswise. A ower boards (5) are compete and dry. No board is broken crosswise. A nais are propery hammered in and do not protrude more than 2 mm. The bottom runners are free of pastic fim. 44 APPLICATION NOTES BASIC PRINCIPLES FOR TROUBLE-FREE TRANSPORT Basic principes for troube-free transport In order to transport the conveying good fawessy on a roer conveyor, the foowing basic principes must be foowed: Roer pitch The roer pitch must be seected so that at east three conveyor roers are underneath the conveying good at any given time: Profie connectors The side profies of the modues are connected form-fit with a profie connector. Each conveyor modue incudes 2 profie connectors. L P 5 Fig.: Profie connectors P Roer pitch in mm (") L Conveying good ength in mm (") Load capacity The weight of the conveying good must be distributed onto as many conveyor roers as necessary so that the maximum oad capacity of each individua conveyor roer is not exceeded. This may mean that more than three conveyor roers must support the conveying good. More information about conveyor roers is avaiabe in Interro's conveyor roer cataog. Side profie Stee profie 200 x 70 x 4 mm Standard profie for a roer conveyors Foded stee profie with powder coating The top edge of the roer is aways 30 mm deeper than the top edge of the profie The side profie serves as side guide The profie has a continuous hoe pattern in a grid of 25 mm for attaching a the required add-on components Supports The supports are made of foded U-profies 100 x 50 x 4 mm, which are assembed into a rigid frame. The supports can be attached in a grid of 25 mm at any ocation of the modue (recommended support distance max. 1,500 mm). In any event, a support must be attached at every track joint. Throughput The throughput T P of a conveyor system is given in units/hour and depends on the size of the conveying good, the conveying speed and the cyce times of merging and diverting units. The window size T is required for cacuating the throughput. The window size T is the distance from the front edge of a conveying good to the front edge of the foowing conveying good, irrespective of the actua ength of the conveying good or zone ength. For the precise cacuation of the power capacity T P, pease contact your Interro customer representative. 45 APPLICATION NOTES TURNTABLES Turntabes At the junctions of conveyor systems, paets can be transferred via turntabes from incoming conveyor ines onto tracks with different directions of trave. Since they approach severa positions in the swiveing range of 270, they can be used as corner defection, crossing or merger/ diverter. The direction of rotation must be specified by the controer of the conveyor systems. Exampes of appications Transfer The combination of roer and chain conveyors aows 90 transfers to impement compex intraogistica soutions in extremey tight spaces: They connect conveyor ines at a 90 ange and enabe a change of direction of the oad carriers. For right-ange merging and diverting as we as for moving the conveying good between conveyor ines running in parae, ifting eements are instaed in the conveyor systems. The ifting motion is carried out eectromechanicay via eccentric ifting shafts. Chain and roer transfers cannot be combined in a cosed oop.
