1.1 Patient Summary Page Columns Patient Directory tab > Patient Summary There have been two updates to the Patient Summary page with this release Insurance Plan Status Display The Patient Summary page (and download list) now displays the status of the insurance plan per patient. Prior to this release, the list of patients on this page (and download) did not indicate if a patient can be contacted or not based on their insurance plan s status. An active patient will not be contacted if their primary plan status is not active. Plan status values are as follows: Active a plan receiving medsage communication Inactive a plan not receiving medsage communication New a plan that is new to medsage and should be reviewed to determine if the plan should be active or inactive. (New plans receive no medsage communication.) Note If you have a new insurance plan, please contact medsage s customer service team in order to have the plan activated or inactivated. With the addition of this column, it will be easier to determine if an active patient should receive communication by the system. Note Other factors may affect whether or not a patient is contactable by the system such as the patient s communication state and communication mode. See Figure 1 Release Notes medsage Technologies Page 2 of 10

Plan Communication Type Column The Plan Call Status column name has been changed to read Plan Comm Type. This change better represents the information displayed in this column: the type(s) of communication an insurance plan receives. Note The Plan Comm Type column title is displayed as Plan Communication Type on the downloadable spreadsheet. See Figure 1 Figure 1: On the Patient Summary page, the Plan Status and Plan Comm Type columns appear towards the right hand side of the patient list. Release Notes medsage Technologies Page 3 of 10

1.2 Patient Comment Communication State Updates Patient Reports tab > Patient Comments A system-generated comment will now be added to a patient s comment history whenever a user changes a patient s communication state from either the Patient Edit or Patient Adjustment pages. Prior to this release, there was no way to determine when or who changed a patient s communication state. Figure 2: The patient s communication state was changed to Provider Hold. Figure 3: A comment appears in the patient s comment history that the change was made and which user made the change. Release Notes medsage Technologies Page 4 of 10

1.3 - Unreachable Listing Addresses Notifications tab > Unreachable Listing To provide more communication options, the Unreachable Listing now displays the patient s address under their name in the Name column. The patient s address is a clickable link that will create a new with your computers default mail program. The will be addressed to the displayed in medsage. The downloadable spreadsheet also displays the patient s address in a separate column. Note A patient s address populates only if the information appears in the patient s record from billing data or manual entry into on the Patient Edit or Adjustment pages. Figure 4: The patient s address appears under their name on the Unreachable Listing. Release Notes medsage Technologies Page 5 of 10

1.4 Manual Patients Time Zone Display Notifications tab > Manual Patient Listing and Patient Directory tab > Manual Caller List To assist manual communication with patients, a time zone field has been added to both the Manual Patient Listing and the Manual Caller List. To determine the patient s time zone, the system looks at the following patient information: Zip Code Area Code of the Primary Phone Number (if zip code is not present) If the patient doesn t have a zip code or area code, nothing will display under the Time Zone column. This column displays whether the patient is in the EST (Eastern), CST (Central), MST (Mountain) or PST (Pacific) time zones along with the hour offset for the time zone from EST. If the patient resides in another time zone, just the offset will be seen. The offset number should be subtracted (or added) to Eastern Time. For example, if a patient is located in MST, the offset is :00am EST would be the equivalent of 8:00am MST. Note The offset is based off of Eastern time and not the time zone of the user logged into medsage. Note The Manual Caller List is an optional configuration and may not appear on all applications. See Figure 5 Release Notes medsage Technologies Page 6 of 10

Figure 5: Time Zone Offset displays the patient s time difference from Easter Standard Time. In this example, the second patient is 2 hours behind EST. 1.5 Dropship Mixed Order Indicator Reorders tab > Pending Reorders With this release, a # of items have been fulfilled by supplier message appears on any mixed orders approved which have been shipped by the supplier. This indicator allows for quick reference of how many items were approved for supplier shipment and have been fulfilled by the supplier. Figure 6: in this example, the supplier fulfilled shipment of one item in this mixed order. The remainder of items is marked for internal shipment. Release Notes medsage Technologies Page 7 of 10

Section 2 Bug Fixes 2.1 Unreachable Listing Pagination Notifications tab > Unreachable Listing Prior to this release, sorting of the Unreachable Listing did not persist across pagination. This bug has been fixed so sorting persists as the list is navigated through Approved Dropship Reorders/Line Item Addition Reorders tab > Pending Reorders and Patient Directory > Patient Adjustment Prior to this release, users had the ability to add additional line items to a survey response (within the 30 day limit) even if the patient already had a reorder that was exported to the supplier via automation. This bug has been fixed and items cannot be added to an already exported order via the Patient Adjustment page. When viewing the Patient Adjustment page, the ability to select the Add to last call made radio button is disabled. An indicator is visible on screen altering you that the patient s order was already exported to the supplier. Only a new order for the patient can be made. Figure 7: In this example, no additional items can be added to the patient s reorder because the initial approved order was already exported to the supplier. 9 Section 2 Bug Fixes 2.3 Unconfirmed Mixed Orders Not Dropshipable Reorders tab > Pending Reorders This bug fix affects customers who are impacted by mixed orders with dropship. A mixed order is an order partially approved for shipment by a supplier and shipment internally. These orders are highlighted on the Pending Reorders page by items colored red to indicate part of an order that will be not be dropshipped. Prior to this release, if a mixed order was unconfirmed from the Pending Reorders page, it could be re-approved for dropship but would not necessarily be exported to the supplier. This is in the case where the original items marked for supplier shipment were already exported via automation. To remain consistent with application functionality, if any portion of a mixed order is exported to the supplier, no additional items can be approved for supplier shipment. The Supplier Order button will be disabled and an indicator appears on the reorder informing users that the original items had been exported. This bug fix eliminates confusion on why all items on a mixed order may not be sent to the supplier. See Figure 8 9 Figure 8: In this example, one item from the order was already exported to the supplier. This order is subsequently unconfirmed in order to correct other items that should have been sent as well (but are marked for provider shipment). Release Notes medsage Technologies Page 9 of 10
