TRITEC quality guarantee as brand promise. TRITEC guarantees the highest quality in the long term. This promise to our customers is at the same time a demand on ourselves: As a distributor we appreciate our responsibility, make a pre-selection and ensure that the required market criteria are met 100% today and in future. Therefore it is only consistent to subject new partners and their products to close scrutiny. This involves far more than simply complying with the major standards and directives. Decisive is whether the declared performance can in fact be achieved for 20 years and more. Hareon Solar convinced us already during our first factory inspection with the quality of their modules and their manufacture. Now we at TRITEC vouch for this quality with our label TRITEC Quality Checked. This quality label is based on the results of the following tests and controls: 1. ASIG checks of the module production for TRITEC on site in China 2. The mechanical load tests of the TÜV Rheinland (Technical Inspection Agency Rhineland) 3. The flash tests of the CalLab of the Fraunhofer ISE. But read for yourself what this means in detail and why the trust in the quality of Hareon Solar modules is justified. You ll see because they fulfil TRITEC s quality requirements. Tobias Michler Head of Product Management

Production inspection: Quality assurance on site. ASIG inspection in China: TRITEC quality requirements ensured. About ASIG Factory audit ASIG Quality Services GmbH was founded in 1993 and is an independent subsidiary of the VDE (German Association for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies) since With offices in Germany, China and Taiwan, ASIG qualifies, audits and inspects manufacturers and their products. This way, manufacturers and importers receive the protection of their quality requirements from the start of production to the loading of containers. In addition to photovoltaic modules and inverters, ASIG also monitors the quality of IT products (notebooks etc.), consumer goods (TVs, DVD players etc.), domestic appliances (hair dryers, vacuum cleaners etc.), energy-saving lamps and other electronic products. The process ASIG monitors TRITEC s quality requirements for Hareon Solar modules in four steps: First, the factory was audited, second, modules were determined as reference samples to test the flasher, third, each module production for TRITEC is inspected and fourth, the containers holding the inspected modules are sealed. First, the module manufacture of Hareon was inspected in detail, using a standardised procedure. This audit is designed to determine on principle whether the production can meet the defined quality requirements. This investigation consists of different parts whose assessment is weighted and summarised in a final report. The most important parts are management responsibility and quality assurance, incoming and outgoing goods inspection, process control, production facilities and equipment as well as production. Selection of reference samples Two Hareon modules HR-185 and HR-225 each were determined as reference samples by ASIG and flashed by VDE Shanghai. Based on the resulting flasher data, ASIG checks the calibration of the flasher during their production inspections at Hareon. This ensures that the modules achieve the claimed output.

Inspection ASIG is licensed as testing institute by the Chinese Quality Authority AQSIQ and is therefore entitled to carry out quality inspections in factories. ASIG inspects every production of Hareon modules for TRITEC. Divided into the four areas visual inspection, used materials and dimensions, function as well as packaging and loading, a checklist of quality requirements was created to inspect the Hareon Solar modules for TRITEC. Using this list ensures that the modules meet TRITEC s quality demands. Sealing the containers To ensure that the inspected Hareon Solar modules are actually shipped, containers are sealed after loading. This concludes the comprehensive quality assurance from the basic prerequisites and inspection of production to shipping.

Mechanical load test: Test of compatibility with TRITEC s mounting system TRI-STAND. Modules of Hareon Solar and the TRITEC mounting system TRI-STAND: a safe combination. About TÜV Rheinland Since 1872 the TÜV Rheinland (Technical Inspection Authority Rhineland) develops safe and sustainable solutions in the context of human being, environment and technology. In the area Systems and Machines, the TÜV Rheinland also supports manufacturers and service providers in the quality assurance of PV modules and PV components as well as complete PV systems. The new Solar Energy Assessment Center of the TÜV Rheinland in Cologne started work in June 2009, one of the leading testing laboratories worldwide. With 30 years of experience in photovoltaics, the services of the TÜV Rheinland include amongst others qualification and certification, tests for special stresses (e. g. ammonia, transport stresses) or long-term tests for outdoor exposure in various climate zones. to a tensile load of 2400 Pa and pressure loads of 2400 or 5400 Pa in three cycles. Then the current/ voltage characteristic curves of the modules were determined and the insulation of the modules tested under wet conditions. Additionally, electroluminescence was recorded in order to make any damages to the module s cells visible. The result The modules of Hareon Solar have passed the mechanical load test and are compatible with the mounting system TRI-STAND. For this reason, Hareon Solar modules can without restriction be installed with TRI- STAND in regions with wind loads of up to 2400 Pa and snow loads of up to 5400 Pa. The test TRITEC commissioned the TÜV Rheinland to test three modules of Hareon Solar for compatibility with the mounting system TRI-STAND. The tests were performed according to IEC / This standard defined the tests of artificial loads on the materials of PV modules. Here the mechanical load was relevant. Two modules (one as a reference) were each exposed

Flash test: Test of positive performance tolerance. Hareon scores best in measurements compared with various Chinese modules. About ISE The research of the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (ISE) creates the technical prerequisites for an efficient and environmentally friendly energy supply. In CalLab, the ISE is home to one of the globally leading photovoltaic calibration laboratories. The lab calibrates all types of solar cells and PV modules accurately and reliably according to international standards. Calibration and measurement is carried out strictly according to international standards and directives. This allows the unrestricted international comparison of results. The test voltage characteristic curve of the modules was determined. The tests were carried out under standard test conditions (STC: 25 degrees module temperature, 1000 W/m2 irradiation and 1.5 airmass), also used by the manufacturers for flashing their modules. The result Of all tested modules of Chinese manufacturers, the Hareon modules scored best. With a positive tolerance of +0.9 and +1.4 per cent, the modules were well within the tolerance. Though the other modules were also within the defined performance tolerance, they however partially showed great deviations. TRITEC commissioned the Fraunhofer ISE CalLab to test the performance of two Hareon modules (type: HR-230P-18Bb). This is designed to ensure that the positive performance tolerance of -0 to + 5W stated by the manufacturer is adhered to. At the same time, modules of four other Chinese manufacturers were also tested. In the course of these tests the modules were each flashed three times by a class A flashlight solar simulator (compliant with IEC ) and the current/

Environmental protection: Sustainable production and environmentally safe disposal. Hareon Solar produces its modules according to RoHS directives and is a member of PV Cycle. About RoHS The EC Directive 2002/95/EC regulates the use of hazardous substances in devices and components. RoHS is the acronym for Restriction of (the use of certain) Hazardous Substances. The goal is to ban problematic materials in the manufacture of electronic products. This includes amongst others the lead-free soldering of electronic components. As a RoHS certified company, Hareon complies with these directives and is therefore one of the first PV module manufacturers contributing to the protection of the environment in this way. About PV-Cycle PV CYCLE was founded by companies in the PV industry in With this voluntary return and recycling programme for end-of-life modules, the members make an additional contribution to comprehensive sustainability. As a member of PV CYCLE, Hareon Solar wants to dispose of and recycle PV modules optimally, taking into consideration ecological and economical criteria. By now, membership of PV Cycle is a prerequisite for the funding of projects with many banks.
