5 Novelog quick facts EU-financed project in the field of sustainable city logistic solutions within the HORIZON program 28 Partners, of which 12 cities/city areas and 8 universities 6 Pilot projects and 6 case studies The main activity for the city of Gothenburg is to perform a case study regarding a c/o adress for deliveries to the Nordstan shopping mall. Important elements are gathering of information and analysis of goods flows

6 Nordstan key facts 200 shops and restaurants sharing 70,000 square metres of floor space Over 35 million visitors annually Turnover of about 450 MEUR Goods are delivered via an underground loading street Owned by five real estate owners

9 Results - NOVELOG Create a well functioning ready to run concept for consolidation by a c/o adress outside the city core, to enable more efficient and sustainable solutions to businesses in the central parts of Gothenburg Development of a commercially sustainable solution Increase the knowledge of goods flows in central Gothenburg Strenghten the work within the city to encourage future sustainable and efficient solutions for city logistics 300 vehicle deliveries in the city centre - compared to 600! A more pleasant and attractive city environment

10 Current status - NOVELOG Performed activites: Mapping and analysis of the entire goods flows to Nordstan and the surrounding area within 2 typical weeks Design and simulation of a pilot solution, supported by the management board of Nordstan Consequence analaysis traffic and environment Planned activites: Initializing of tendering procedure Procurement of the consolidation service Launch of pilot test (spring 2018)

11 Water an nearly unutilized logistic resource with big potential Urban waterway transport utilizes the vacant urban space and can be more environmentally friendly. Gothenburg plans for apartments and workplaces along the river. Demonstration performed early spring 2017 (Dencity). Pre-study performed regarding potential for goods transport to the central parts of the city. Connected to the Nordstan case study 11
