7 Introduction The Roads Authority of Namibia (RA) identified the need to address sustainability in a broad and strategic manner The RA worked with the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI) to develop a Road Transportation Sustainability Plan as a first step 7

10 Sustainability Statement The Roads Authority strives to achieve sustainability of the transportation system, by providing a safe and efficient national road network which supports economic growth and ensures access for all citizens and other road users, while preserving the environment for current and future generations. 10
