1 An Intensive 5 Day Training Course Reverse Engineering in Manufacturing Mechanical Spare Parts Aug 2019, Dubai 24-JUL-18 This course is Designed, Developed, and will be Delivered under ISO Quality Standards

2 Reverse Engineering in Manufacturing Mechanical Spare Parts WHY CHOOSE THIS TRAINING COURSE? Reverse engineering is a common and acceptable practice in the branch of the mechanical design and manufacturing based industry. It is a vital technique in the spare parts and product design cycle. The original manufacturer of a product no longer produces a product. Reverse engineering has become a practical method in case the original supplier is unable or unwilling to provide additional parts. Unavailability of a simple less expensive spare part may keep the whole production line inoperable. Shortages of spare parts can result in lost production (idle manpower and inoperable machine or lost capacity), a delay in completion date (may have cost penalty for late completion of any scheduled products), present profit loss (may have loss of sales in the current market since no production) and future profit loss (goodwill erosion). This PetroKnowledge training course introduces participants to the use of modern Computer-Aided Design (CAD) techniques in generation of 3D digital models from physical objects. Topics include contact and non-contact data acquisition techniques, data type and exchange formats, and advanced solid modeling visualization and surfacing techniques. The training course is intended to familiarize engineers, technicians and operators with the guidelines and best practices employed in utilizing reverse engineering, a three-dimensional product or model to quickly captured in digital form, re-modeled, and exported for rapid prototyping/tooling or rapid manufacturing. This 5 Day intensive PetroKnowledge training course will highlight: Engineering Design Problem Formulation (Needs, Goals and Objectives) Information Gathering with Reverse Engineering Concept Generation Project Planning (Gantt, CPM, PERT) Decision Making (Concept Selection) Detailed Design Modeling Design for Manufacturing WHAT ARE THE GOALS? By the end of this PetroKnowledge training course, participants will be able to: Explain the concept of reverse engineering technology Perform reverse engineering processes and techniques through the digitizing/ scanning methods Generate CAD model from scanned data/cmm Apply product Development process Manipulate CAD data for CAM/NC or CNC machining processes or Rapid prototype WHO IS THIS TRAINING COURSE FOR? This PetroKnowledge training course is designed to benefit all levels of Technical Personnel in the oil and gas industry as well as in chemical and process industries but will greatly benefit: Industrial designers Design engineers Model maker Tooling engineers Mold maker Technicians Technical trainers Chemical, Process and Mechanical Engineers Product Engineers and Technologists Operation, technical service and maintenance professionals Engineers, Consultants and Sales professionals Technical professionals responsible for interdisciplinary energy projects
