The acceleration and braking processes occur with soft transitions (S ramps). This places less stress on machine components and on the drive system. The energy compensation realised by the common DC bus of the servomotors reduces energy consumption and allows the omission of braking resistors. The decentralised technology permits the use of fewer cables which represents a further advantage for the flexible cable ducts.
