Risk of Management Identification of possible significant risks and ways to prevent report to Site Supervisor As prevention - Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Basic situations: Safety shoes, high visibility vest, back belt and gloves Specific situations: safety helmet, fall arrest equipment, eye protection

31 B. Loading & Unloading Truck PPE: Safety shoes, high visibility vest, back belt and gloves During operation driver should not be in the cabin Ignition keys should be removed from truck Usage of minimum of 2 wheel choke be placed prior the ops For trucks with tail lift the bridging plate must fully inserted Cargos should be properly secured or lashed Trucks should not be parked on a slope during loading/ unloading work Not exceed truck and tail lift capacity

Pallet Truck PPE: Safety shoes, high visibility vest and gloves, back belt Always walk do not run, make sharp turn or do sudden stop Ensure the hydraulic pump is in working order The load must be evenly distributed along the fork Spotters should accompany operator in areas where view is obstructed Do not overload the pallet truck Loads should always be pushed not pulled

Manual Handling lifting and carrying by hand PPE: Safety shoes, high visibility vest, gloves, back belt and safety helmet Always check the weight of the case prior to lifting Follow proper ergonomics for manual handling to avoid any backache Equipment s like pallet truck and forklift should be used for loads over 30kg E. Unpacking/ Packing Cases hand tools and pneumatic tools PPE: Safety shoes, high visibility vest, safety helmet and gloves* Follow safety signage on the exterior of the case prior to opening the case Always pull out the nail or screws completely out of the case prior to unpacking Tools always in good condition; tested and inspected prior to use Only trained personnel shall operate power tools * not for all situations

34 F. Lifting F1. Forklift PPE: Safety shoes, high visibility vest, safety helmet Only trained and competent person to operate Equipment always in good condition; tested and inspected prior to use Do not overload the forklift Do not lift load over backrest Always wear seat belts while operating With bulky load or huge items always drive backwards and a spotter should guide the forklift movement Always start and stop gradually and slowly to avoid jerking of the cargo Always removes keys from ignition when forklift is not in use Respect speed limits Hitch a ride on forklift is not allowed Wheel choke should be placed when forklift is not in usage.

Crane PPE: Safety shoes, high visibility vest, back belt and safety helmet Operation prior planned by site supervisor, show coordinator, client and supplier Equipment always in good condition; tested and inspected prior to use Warning signs of No entry and/ or barricades ropes shall be provided The strength of the ground where the crane is to be placed shall be examined. Steel plates can be used for reinforcement if necessary Capacity of the crane to be used shall be determined after careful consideration. Total lifting weights and center of gravity of equipment to be erected shall be carefully rechecked before operation starts Lifting would should no be carried our during bad weather such as strong wind or rain

Rigging PPE: Safety shoes, high visibility vest, safety helmet, gloves, fall arrest equipment, eye protection and back belt Operation shall be performed under the direction of an authorized rigger The lifted weight shall be the total weight of the equipment or materials, crate and lifting tackles Ropes shall be in good conditions, inspected and tested prior use

37 G. Emergency Procedures - Fire Prevention and Hazard Prevention Familiarization with onsite emergency evacuation plan, location of emergency exit, safety sprinklers, fire floor, fire extinguishers and how to operate them Fire extinguishers shall be provided at warehouse Arrange own primary fire fighting measure and equipment during a project (sufficient portable fire extinguishers in and around the job site) Fire fighting measure and equipment shall be in accordance with project requirement as well as local authorities All employees should make a conscious inspection of safety equipment and potential hazard in their area of work Any personnel who discover an oil spill, gas leak and chemical spillage must inform the supervisor immediately and not restart working until the hazards are eliminated All chemical containers must be kept well sealed and should be marked naming the type of chemical they contain.

38 H. Traffic Rules PPE: Safety shoes Driving license only licensed driver allowed Parking use designated areas, never park adjacent to fire hydrants, fire fighting equipment, walkways, emergency exist Speed limit do not exceed the limits
