2 Welcome Use this guide to find shipping tariffs for your UPS shipments. We offer delivery options to meet your shipping requirements, including door-to-door and routine customs-clearance services for documents and packages. Zone and Rate Charts In order to determine applicable UPS shipping rates, please consult both the zone charts and the rate charts. Zone Charts First, find the origin (for import shipments) or the destination (for export shipments). Then find the zone number shown under the chosen service column to determine if the service is available. International Rate Charts Use the zone number, in conjunction with the weight of your shipment, to obtain the shipping rate. These rates are exclusive of surcharges and taxes. Rates in this booklet are for customers in Qatar. Effective December 25 th Customs duties, surcharges and taxes are not included in the rates. These rates are subject to Fuel Surcharge. Fuel Surcharge Percentage varies from month to month and is available on UPS.com. Shipment insurance is also available, please contact UPS office for the same. Chargeable weight Rates are based on the total actual weight or the total dimensional weight of all packages in the shipment, whichever is the greater. Any fraction of a kilogram over the weight shown takes the next highest rate. DIMENSIONAL WEIGHT FACTOR = (L X W X H)/5000 in cms = Kilograms UPS reserves the right to amend, modify or discontinue the service, tariff and applicable terms and conditions with or without prior notice. 2

10 UPS Rates - Sending (Export) Determining the weight of the shipment - Export Sub Origin: Qatar Billable weight for small package shipments Billable weight is the weight used to calculate the rate. For domestic and international services, the billable weight will be the greater of the dimensional weight as compared to the actual weight. How To Calculate Billable Weight Determine Actual Weight: Use any standard scale to determine the actual weight of your package. Increase any fraction to the next half kilogram. Determine Dimensional Weight: Divide the cubic size of your package (length x width x height, rounding each measurement to the nearest whole centimetre) in centimetres by 5,000. Refer to the figure at the bottom of this page. Increase any fraction to the next half kilogram. Determine Billable Weight: Compare the package s actual weight to its dimensional weight. The larger of the two weights is the billable weight and should be used to calculate the rate. For multiple-package shipments, total the billable weight of all packages in the shipment. Additional charges These rates are exclusive of any additional charges, such as charges for extended or remote area delivery or any optional services. Where applicable, tax will be charged at the standard rate. UPS Boxes The UPS 10kg and UPS 25kg Box can be obtained by calling UPS Customer Service. Our representative can assist you with the completion of the UPS Waybill and any required export documentation. A commercial invoice is required. The information on the invoice will be used to determine any applicable duty and/or tax charged by the destination country. UPS Envelope For correspondence, documents and electronic media only. Letter weight limit Letter rates apply for international documents, correspondence and electronic media shipments that do not exceed 0.5 kg sent in a UPS Envelope. Import and export letters above 0.5kg and less than or equal to 5.0kg will be billed the document rate. Import and export letters above 5.0kg will be billed the package rate. Maximum weight The maximum weight for an individual package is 70kg. To determine the rate for a shipment with multiple packages weighing in total more than 70kg, multiply the total weight (rounded up to the next whole kilogram) by the appropriate price per kilogram shown. The amount billed will be the result of the calculation, or the minimum rate shown, whichever is the greater. 12 UPS Rates - Sending (Export) Determining the weight of the shipment - Export Sub Origin: Qatar Billable weight for small package shipments Billable weight is the weight used to calculate the rate. For domestic and international services, the billable weight will be the greater of the dimensional weight as compared to the actual weight. How To Calculate Billable Weight Determine Actual Weight: Use any standard scale to determine the actual weight of your package. Increase any fraction to the next half kilogram. Determine Dimensional Weight: Divide the cubic size of your package (length x width x height, rounding each measurement to the nearest whole centimetre) in centimetres by 5,000. Refer to the figure at the bottom of this page. Increase any fraction to the next half kilogram. Determine Billable Weight: Compare the package s actual weight to its dimensional weight. The larger of the two weights is the billable weight and should be used to calculate the rate. For multiple-package shipments, total the billable weight of all packages in the shipment.
