The protection of the ecological environment and sustainable development has become the most pressing issues facing countries around the world when we has into the 21st century. Based on this situation, various fields are more and more emphasis on energy conservation and protection of nature, the traditional packaging materials and design obviously can not meet this requirement. So it is spurred to take full account of environmental design packaging with select packaging materials, explore a new model and method. Therefore spending on between the environmental pollution and market conflict. The designers and engineers must work toward the long-term development goals of protecting the environment and resources, it also requires a new environmentally friendly packaging design with new environmentally friendly materials match, both as an important integral part of packaging is dispensable not give up on the design considerations, to fully consider the aesthetic psychology of buyers can not only consider the functional, and also can not give up too much to satisfy consumer aesthetic of functional and environmentally friendly standards. Therefore, we need to fully study the basic demands of the modern green packaging materials and modern packaging design, give full consideration to the practical application of the environmentally friendly materials in the design. The development background of green packaging With the development of human society, economic prosperity, and the advancement of technology, human exploitation of natural made brilliant achievements unprecedented, but it is in a time of rapid growth there are also many negative impacts. The emissions generated by industrial production, waste water, waste extremely polluted the environment, had been respected extreme and extensive use of disposable plastic bags buried for whundreds of years thrown back into maintaining the status quo will not break down, even in the land which should put into the sea will marine Pollution; incineration will release a variety of harmful gases, and it has been widely used in a variety of packaging. In addition, deforestation, cushioning foam use, causing short-term, irreversible destruction of the environment. "Visual noise" generated by the end of the 20th century, "Design junk" also harm our quality of life at all times. The connotation of green packaging. Beginning in the late 20th century, with the concern of the international community on environmental issues, protecting the environment, caring for the earth sounds increasingly high international community on the product packaging materials are also more and more stringent. Non-polluting, can be used repeatedly, renewable environmentally friendly packaging in the use of more and more on the production of the product packaging. "Green packaging" originated in 1987, the United Nations Environment and Development Committee published "Our Common Future", the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development in June 1992 by the Environment and Development Rio Declaration, Agenda All rights reserved. 2 78 Frontiers of Manufacturing and Design Science III 21,set off a full-time within a green channel of the core to protect the ecological environment. Has been developed to the 1999, ISO implementation of green environmental labeling, put the packaging of the green revolution to a new level. At present, Europe, the United States, Japan, South Korea, Australia and other countries and regions have legislation to ban foam packaging for industrial imports, or rely on raising tariffs and other means to limit and eliminate as product packaging foam packaging products imports. The so-called green packaging materials used in the packaging to conserve energy and resources, easy to recycle discarded after use or by incineration and other ways to deal with not produce toxic substances buried deep regression can automatically decompose naturally, not like the "white pollution" that has become permanent do not wipe out the garbage, but no ecological damage to the packaging. The types and characteristics of green packaging materials. Green packaging materials can generally be reusable and renewable packaging materials, edible packaging materials, biodegradable materials and natural paper material. Environmentally friendly packaging design is reflected in the use of design methodology contains most things to do with a minimum of material, and the corresponding reduction of waste, recycling easy. The basis of the preceding, green packaging materials must have the appropriate characteristics differentiated with traditional materials, but cause of its different materials, eco-friendly materials in packaging design also has their own characteristics as well as the selective advantage. Edible packaging materials, including multi-plant of polysaccharides or animal polysaccharide -based edible packaging starch film, modified cellulose film, flora and fauna film, chitosan film and so on. Edible packaging film of the edible film based on natural edible substances as raw materials, the thin film having a porous network structure formed by the interaction between different molecules. It is mainly used in the food and pharmaceutical industries. Biodegradable plastic refers to cause loss of performance within the specified time and generates a change of a plastic. Both the functions and features of the traditional plastic biodegradable plastic packaging materials, and can then complete the trial life through the role of the sun in the ultraviolet or soil and edema of the action of microorganisms in the natural environment degradation, the ultimate non-toxic form of regression environment. Its mainly to solve the problem of the prolonged use of plastic bags can not be processed. Both the phone box, CD packaging, food cling film need to use a lot of plastic, the difference is just how much coverage area problem. And biodegradable plastics have been used in the ordinary packaging film, shopping bags, garbage bags, a good solution to this problem of "white pollution". Duplication and renewable material is paper, beer cans, beverage bottles can be reused, recovered can rejoin the use of packaging materials through the processing technology. Environmentally friendly materials in packaging. Products increasingly focused on the quality of packaging right now, product packaging is the "first sign" of people's cognitive products and its commitments to consumers philosophy shaping the image is no longer simply the role of protecting the inner product, almost all the products require different degrees of different types of packaging. Packaging has become an important part of the item is indispensable. The packagings of all food in McDonald s are all paper materials. From foreign film and television works, we can also find supermarket shopping bags are also issued paper products, will use environmentally-friendly cardboard packaging of many products, such as TV, refrigerator, air-conditioning, as well as glassware and other raw materials used in the production of paper products and do not have a lot of tree felling, but the rest of the fertilizer comes from the production of organic skin care products, such as natural flowers and plant fiber, material cost very little, only
3 Applied Mechanics and Materials Vols one-third of the traditional mode of packaging and the sheet produced by the packaging, and also can then nature decomposition, will not pollute the environment. But in our country, supermarkets and other FMCG products of consumption and not a lot of use of paper bags, but also has been used biodegradable plastic made of a plastic bag in the hotel which the original foam lunch boxes made of green plastic lunch box has become, do not pollute the environment at the same time can also be used repeatedly. Green packaging can not be separated from environmental design and green materials Every product has both a high degree of functionality as well as its unique aesthetic, green packaging is also true. The use of green materials alone rather than focus on the combination of design, if not, the result will also be a lot of wasted material, resulting in unnecessary waste of resources. But if we do too much depends on the design, regardless of the use of the material will cause distress to consumers as well as the environment, the packaging of every product from initial attention should be paid to the selection of raw materials and packaging design, designers and Materials Science family participation, co-operation, put the green philosophy throughout every aspect. Packaging design brief. The packaging design refers to the appropriate choice of packaging material, the use of clever technology means the decorative landscaping design, the shape of the container structure for packaged goods and packaging. In modern society, people have to communicate with the merchandise almost every moment. Fashion, consumer experience has become a culture, including human life, food and clothing with the line in all aspects of, and embodies the pursuit of high quality of life is even more strongly. When we entered the market or supermarkets, all kinds of assort of goods, beautiful shape, bright packaging show in front of us, the product packaging in addition to its role of protecting the inner product, also undertaken to sell goods to consumers, shaping the role of first impression. Environmental design of the product packaging. Environmental design concepts and the use of environmentally friendly materials constitute packaging design green design concept. Green packaging design requirements in the design process need cost estimates, material budget, reasonable control costs, which can enhance the economical product packaging, nature conservation, the feasibility of its most basic sense is to save resources and reduce waste quantity. In addition, during the environmental design must pay attention to the structural design of the product packaging and packaging to meet the functional premise, as much as possible to make the packaging structure simplified, this design has become a fashion trend. On behalf of the company have Apple, MIUI and MUJI. Their packaging design to maximize the same time meet the functional control of the use of the material, as shown in Figure 1 and shown in Figure 2. As shown we can see the structure of the rational design of packaging not only can save the material, and could also be to improve the use of space. In addition, the paper printed materials in the cut version of the process is very likely to cause material waste in the design should pay attention to adjusting the packaging structure expansion plan should be presented square to reduce the residual waste of cardboard. Therefore in green packaging, green design and eco-friendly materials are indispensable and complementary. Therefore among on the green packaging, green design and eco-friendly materials are indispensable and complementary.
4 80 Frontiers of Manufacturing and Design Science III Figure 1 Figure 2 Conclusion Packaging design as the inevitable product of social development which has the characteristics of the times. In today's of emphasis on environmental protection and energy saving, multidisciplinary cross-border cooperation with multidisciplinary integrated use of in order to meet people's needs. From this perspective, green packaging must be referred to the design concept and application of environmentally friendly materials merging to achieve the creation of a more perfect green packaging. With the development of the technologies of the future, green packaging design concepts and materials will also continue to update, but the basic demands of environmental protection will never disappear.
