3 4 Company History 1991 IHDM was established and started to employ and train the personnel 1991 The company signed a technical contract with Fuji Technica Co., (Japan) for the required know how and technical trainings All the skilled personnel, equipments and Know How were ready for exploitation In a formal ceremony and presence of president, Saipa Heavy Dies Manufacturing (IHDM) was inaugurated The first set of body dies for Pride Kia Motors-was manufactured and delivered to Saipa Company The company started its measures for acquiring the required licenses for manufacturing machine tools Die manufacturing capacity was increased from 600 tons to 1000 tons IHDM signed a technical contract with a well known Spanish manufacturer for mutual co-operations in manufacturing machine tools for exports The machine tools production line was inaugurated The first export contract was signed with Renault Company for dies The first sets of dies were dispatched to France for testing The first series of machine tools were exported to Europe Negotiations for manufacturing horizontal and vertical machine centers were started with a foreign partner The contract for manufacturing the dies for Tondar90 (Logan) was signed with Renault-Pars company The know how for manufacturing machine centers were acquired and the production line started to work Some portion of Tondar90 dies were delivered to the customer The designed production line and required machineries for manufacturing cylinder block were delivered to the customer Producing and exporting some dies for Renault projects to Coskunoz company in Turkey. 5
