6 Energy Audit An Energy Audit is a process to inspect, survey and analysis of energy flows for energy conservation in a building, process or system to reduce the amount of energy input into the system without negatively affecting the output. It is important to note, there is a direct relationship between the scope, and therefore the cost, of an audit (amount of data collected and analyzed) and the number of energy reduction opportunities that can be identified. SLF is given for buildings that have been completed and have met the requirements. Compliance inspection of technical requirements include compliance with building code requirements and reliability requirements of the building. Building reliability requirements include requirements for safety, health, comfort, and convenience.
