Box section beams help resist the twisting effects experienced by I-beam styles. Our beams are available in our standard Orange Power coat or for extra rust protection in Hot Dipped Galvanised. Boxed beams come in a variety of lengths from 1372mm to 4267mm in standard stocked sizes. They also come in a variety of height profiles from 80mm to 150mm depending on the UDL capacity required for your system. Custom sizes are also available on request depending on your requirements. A list of standard stocked sizes is in the chart on this page. All standard boxed beams use a simple punched key-lock design and quick placement spring locking clips. A number of steel thickness and post profiles are available. Our frames use a high tensile steel to ensure that our standard frames can take higher capacities than traditional steel frames. With stocked heights ranging from 1829mm to 7315mm and custom sizes available beyond this, we have you covered for your requirements. 5 racking & shelving racking & shelving PALLET RACKING high density variants Notes on AS & Safety Drive In Racking (Counterbalance Forklift) A common type of Very High Density Racking (FILO) First in Last out principle Pallets must be retrieved only in the order they were entered into the racking therefore meaning best used for large pallet volumes of the same SKU. Arranged into cubic systems X pallets wide, Y pallets deep, Z pallets high Uses specialist components Allows the use of common counterbalance forklifts Technically involved in the design process and minimal flexibility available after installation. It is designed for the purpose required. Selective Racking (Counterbalance Forklift) Most common type of pallet racking FIFO principle (First in, First out) All pallets can be retrieved from the racking independently Pallet racking usually arranged into single and back-toback runs Aisles required to be wide enough forklift turning circle (commonly ~4-5m but varies model to model with the forklift) Common heights between 2400mmH and 7300mmH Uses normal counterbalanced forklifts Most flexible and common option for warehousing environments with highly flexible stock picking requirements Pallet Racking is now to be considered as a dynamic engineering system rather than a series of static components. It must be designed to suit the application to which it s being used for. The key change is that dynamic forces acting on the rack are to be considered as well as static forces acting on the rack. 1. No changes to storage system configuration allowed without the approval of the equipment supplier or a structural engineer. This means that the load signage is only relevant to the design it was made for 2. The vertical clearance requirements for pallets stored above heights of 6m have been increased from 75mm to 100mm. This is aimed at reducing the risk of accidental impact with beam during pallet put-away and retrieval. 3. The flue space between pallets backing onto each other has been increased to 100mm, reducing the risk of an adjacent pallet being accidentally dislodged when storing or retrieving pallets and allows adequate penetration of water from roof and rack-mounted sprinklers during a fire. 4. A minimum of two ground anchors must be used per baseplate on racks where forklifts are used. The ground anchor is the M12x75mm dynabolt when in a suitable concrete floor. If not on a concrete floor (eg mine site road base or bitumen) then sufficient site preparation work must be done (eg. concrete footings or steel U-channel). 5. Minor changes to rack load signage whereby the dimension from ground to first beam level and from first to second beam level MUST be explicitly noted on signage - This means we now must use the Load Sign It must be mechanically attached 2m above the ground - Font must be at least 25mm high. This equates to a 72pt font. 6. Rack protection now has an explicitly stated minimum requirement. 400mm Corner Guards must be placed on the intersection of each gangway and cross-aisle. All other rack protection is at the discretion of the end-user however is recommended. 7. In general splices are to be avoided. If they are used then Splices MUST NOT be below the first level, MUST NOT be below 1.5m above ground level and NO MORE than one (1) splice between any adjacent beam level. Racking is damaged Nominated management represented to assess and clarify the damage to racking and advise the Health and Safety Representative. Very serious damage RED Very serious damage requiring immediate attention ie damage to frames in which the deflection of the post is greater than 6mm over a 1000mm length cantered on the damage Immediately and safely off-load all affected bays of racking and repair damage before re-use Restrict access to the area have authorised personnel conduct the necessary repairs or replacement of all damaged parts are correctly carried out Hazardous damage AMBER Hazardous damage requiring action as soon as possible ie damage to frames in which the deflection of the post is between 3mm and 6mm over a 1000mm length centred on the damage 1. Identify damage for repair using dated amber tag 2. Order materials 3. Ensure all locations affected by damage are not reloaded. 4. Make repairs as soon as possible Repairs carried out If repairs are not carried out within 4 weeks reclassify as red risk Acceptable damage GREEN Damage requiring surveillance ie damage to frames in which the deflection of the post is less than 3mm over a 1000mm length centred on the damage. Label damage component with green tag and record date, and reassess at the next inspection, nut put a plan in place to repair the damage within 12 months If the severity of the damage has increased If there is no change to the damage level continue to monitor at normal inspection levels and intervals Return to service Return to service Continue in service 6 6 Product Catalogue 7

Cantilever Racking provides maximum storage capability and is easily accessible. It is also available in various heights with both single-sided and double-sided configurations. Our Cantilever is available in light duty which has a safe working load (SWL) of 250kgs UDL per arm, medium duty has a SWL of 1000kgs UDL per arm, and heavy duty can be engineered to suit your SWL requirements. UDL is a uniformly distributed load. Our Cantilever Racking is available in two finishes, powder-coated and hot-dipped galvanised. The powder-coated finish (blue and orange) is primarily used in warehouses and workshops. The hot-dipped galvanised finish is used for outdoor applications to protect the cantilever against rust. The Easypack is an easy to assemble shelving unit, which are perfect for the home, commercial or industrial application. Each unit is powder coated in a rippled black finish. Each beam locks in with a simple boltless system and frames are pre-welded so that you need only stand the frames up and clip the beams into position. The galvanised mesh levels are made from a 50mm x 50mm mesh sitting on front-to-back (FTB) supports. All components have an electro-galvanised coating to protect the system from corrosion that makes it an ideal system for use in cool rooms when paired with mesh decks, as well as for any general light duty storage. We offer a wide range of heights, depths and bay lengths to accommodate almost any layout. Adjustable feet make it easy to level the shelving where the floor surface is uneven. Each bay consists of a shell with adjustable shelves. Each shelf will hold 80kg UDL and you may have as many or as few adjustable shelves as you require. This flexibility makes RUT shelving popular across a large range of industries and applications range from archiving through to small object storage. High densities can be achieved for small items by adding extra shelves and using parts trays or parts bins to keep your objects stored by type. Our RUT Shelving is available in both single entry and double entry options. Gondola shelving is widely used in a number of retail businesses such as grocery stores, supermarkets, chemists, hardware stores, discount stores, and convenience stores etc. This type of shelf is available with many different hardware accessories e.g. wire fronts, wire dividers, wire baskets and dividers, scanning hooks, straight hooks, square tube hooks, goose neck hooks, data strips, 300mm extensions which allow a variety of applications. Our Gondola shelving unit is available in 4 heights, 1500mm, 1800mm, 2100mm and 2400mm. The shelves are fabricated with 0.8mm steel and the panels are fabricated with 1.0mm steel.
