1 Advanced Diagnostics / Premium Diagnostics for Positioners SRD960 / SRD991, EC EJ= + JH 5 O I JA, + 5 Operation Configuration Diagnosis for faied PST or stuck vave Inteigent Vave Diagnostics for Predictive Maintenance The vave diagnostic software is avaiabe as Device Type Manager (DTM) for integration into contro systems based on the Fied Device Too (FDT) technoogy such as the Foxboro I/A Series System. It is designed to support methods for evauation of the vave heath, operation and configuration. The DTMs support the communication protocos HART, Profibus PA, FOUN- DATION Fiedbus H1 and FoxCom. 2 A-in-one gance! Ease of use and easy to understand are the principa characteristic of the DTM interface. With one gance, users can identify if the equipment is running we (in green), needs maintenance (in bue), or indicates a faiure (in red). The coor code compies with NAMUR NE107 standard: Good Aarm Out of Spec. Maintenance Simpe Configuration The easiest way to configure a vave positioner. A configuration screens have been optimized with intuitive input and graphica eements that make it easy for anyone to configure a vave positioner whie minimizing configuration errors.

3 Predictive Maintenance The DTM goes beyond the typica function of dispaying a setpoint and measured vaues as it offers enhanced interna appications and methods to anayze vave data. The onboard functionaity automaticay retrieves and stores a important vave performance data coected by the positioner during operation. Diagnostic vave data is refreshed every 200ms which enabes software to run on demand. As a resut it is not required to run continuousy on the contro system and therefore can reduce unnecessary traffic on the communication signa. The interna diagnostic-routines continuousy evauate the state of the vave and inform an operator of any irreguarities by executing a status aarm or diagnosticmessage. The sef-surveiance mechanism compies the NAMUR N107 standard. Tota hours of operation of the device can be dispayed, and service intervas can be timed accordingy using the Service Management screen. A set of histograms show Vave Position History and Vave Response History which can depict a vave performance over time. The Stem Friction histogram is an additiona too that can be used to identify vave stickiness which is a common vave probem. Vave Friction Stem friction greaty impacts vave performance. As such, tracking vave friction has become indispensabe information in order to accuratey deveop predictive maintenance schemes for any contro vave. Tracing vave friction aows identification of possibe pneumatic eakages or stuck vaves whie preventing dangerous spis, injuries to personne, or damage to pant equipment. Interna pressure sensors measure the output pressure for each setpoint change. In miiseconds, the microprocessor of the positioner cacuates the friction of the stem against the packing. The actua friction vaue is then dispayed as Measured- and Average-Vaue with additiona drag-pointers for the Maximum- and Minimum-Vaue. Vave Signatures Vave Signature is an off-ine function that defines a reference behavior of the vave/actuator/positioner entity. Severa types of signatures are avaiabe to define precisey the overa characteristic of the fina contro eement such as: - Stepping signature - Ramping signature - Sensivity signature - Vave signature

4 Unified sef-surveiance (NE107) The Status List screen is a congomeration of a status messages of the fied device. A messages compy with the NAMUR NE107 standard which heps users adhere to consistent visua format and aows the integration to externa aarm systems. The avaiabe information provides cear indication of activate aarms, possibe root cause, and corrective actions to restore norma operating state. A aarms are generated in the positioner and can be upoaded at any time. Positioner Report With two simpe cicks, you can generate a comprehensive and functiona vave/positioner report. The 8-page report covers a information regarding the identification, configuration, status, and diagnostic state of the positioner-vave combination. For ease of portabiity and archiving, this report can be printed or stored in PDF format for future reference

5 IPS Partia Stroke Testing Soution Fina contro eements in Emergency Shutdown (ESD) appications such as ON-OFF-, Bow Down and Venting- Vaves remain in one position over a ong time without any mechanica movement. These vaves can show the tendency to get stuck and as a resut may not operate upon demand. This can have a severe impact on the func- tionaity of a Safety System and coud resut in adverse conditions to operating personne, pant equipment and the environment. Partia Stroke Test (PST) offers operators a too to identify the troubeshooting function of ESD vaves. The test can be easiy executed via the FDT-DTM based configuration and diagnostic too. The test can aso be requested by an SIS Logic Sover and the resut of the test can be read by the Logic Sover. 6 FDT/DTM-Technoogy The Fied Device Too (FDT) concept specifies a frame appication with a uniform patform for software toos. It aso provides a simpe standardized impementation and engineering environment to integrate fied devices into any FDT compiant contro system. The byproduct of the FDT patform is Device Type Manager (DTM) which is simpy a driver that describes the fied device specific software component. The SRD DTM is the specific driver for the SRD series positioner supporting state-of-the-art features and a major communication protocos: HART, Profibus PA, FOUNDATION Fiedbus and FoxCom. DTMs for HART, Profibus PA, FF H1 are certified by FDT organisation, to ensure the perfect integration into any FDT Frame. SRD DTM Versatiity The DTM can be used in any supported communication protoco such as HART, Profibus PA, FOUNFATION Fiedbus or FoxCom providing users with identica configuration and diagnostic windows. Additiona protoco specific screens may aso be avaiabe for proper configuration. Providing a consistent ook-and-fee, the DTM can be used in any FDT compiant host system such as a stand aone PC for maintenance, dedicated PC with Mutipexer or in a DCS workstation. The DTM aso enabes users to configure and read diagnostics of any SRD series positioner through a buit-in service port or wireessy via an infrared port.
