To do so, TALLY TECH employs a fail-safe, audit-proof, ISO-certified data center. Thanks to TALLY TECH s collaboration with various parties that produce weighing data, optionally we are able to communicate certified container weights to carriers through the terminal operating system (TOS), even shortly before loading onto the vessel. TALLY TECH is fully committed to shipping containers in compliance with all applicable rules and regulations. Consignor For industries, manufacturers, and exporters with their own weighing equipment, TALLY TECH collects compliant and certified weighing data from enterprise research programs (ERP) and dispatch systems, and communicates the data directly, in a fully automated fashion, through our fail-safe and audit-proof data center, to all participants in the container logistics chain. Forwarder TALLY TECH supported weighing solutions, which operate with a tolerance of at least 2%, allow our users to directly receive and communicate weighing data via the audit-proof TALLY TECH clearing and data center. This tool supports shippers and freight forwarders in declaring their cargo in a compliant manner and ensuring problemfree transportation. 8 9

8 Our Partners RAVAS, a manufacturer and distributor of forklifts, has introduced iforks, the first entirely wireless weighing forks for any kind of forklift. Since all components of the system are completely integrated into the forks, iforks needs no wiring whatsoever and can be installed within minutes: just plug in and weigh! Any weight lifted by a forklift equipped with IForks can therefore be weighed easily and precisely. The iforks Weight Indicator in the cabin displays the weight bearing on the forks and offers a complete range of functionalities: gross/net weighing, total weights per consignment, code entry, time and date recording, as well as a counting function. With the TALLY TECH app, the tare and the respective container number are added, completing the process. With the upcoming implementation of the new SOLAS container weighing regulation, RAVAS and TALLY TECH offer an optimal weighing solution. Following the weighing and matching process, the TALLY TECH app transfers the data to the server center where it is verified and then communicated to the respective shipping operator all SOLAS compliant, of course

9 Our Partners Since all containers must be weighed well in advance of being loaded onto the ship, in order to guarantee the shipping operator s timely stowage planning, TALLY TECH and one of their partners have developed a technical solution that meets all the requirements of any logistics chain. Devised as a quick weighing system for the container chassis, the system records weights via the twist locks. The permanently installed scale, which can be retrofitted onto used chassis or delivered to fit new chassis, forwards exact weights to the TALLY TECH app in the tractor unit. The whole system is, including the loadcells ist certified and produces, in combination with TALLY TECH, revision proof weight notes. We as Tally Tech, are really impressed by the EHP developed AWSP (Automatic Weighing System Spreader), and offer a certified process chain from weighing to combining data all the way to the encrypted, certified transmission of data clusters to the carriers. with that system. The wide range of application of the AWSP is a big plus. The sensor set consists of four twistlock sensors which can later be integrated manufacturer independently (for every reach-stacker and spreader), matching container corners according ISO1161. Mounting and activation can be done within just one hour. In the driver cabin, an on board unit with a display will be installed, controlling the accuracy of the sensor data. After receiving the weighing data, the driver selects the corresponding container on an Android based mobile phone. The data will then, along with 13 different software parameters, combined to a certified weighing note and transmitted to TALLY TECH s data center, giving it a unique and consecutive ID number. Here, the data will be processed and automatically sent to the carriers. After the data was received by the carrier, the sender will get a transmission confirmation. Physical damage to the sensor is avoided by the nature of it s buffered chassis construction. Power is provided by lithium-polymer batteries. The sensors are durable enough for all common load 16 17

To make sure that you are compliant with SOLAS, TALLY TECH uses the following technologies: The TALLY TECH app transfers data with SSL encryption that meets banking security standards. To better integrate with your company s processes, we have developed a.net client, as well as a front-end website, to collect, process, and send your digitized weighing data. Practices & Certification The TALLY TECH data center is ISOcertified and absolutely failsafe. This makes your data fully tamper-proof and always accessible

12 TALLY TECH Weighing App The TALLY TECH weighing app generates a weight note for your export container, matching load and container number, as well as forwarding the information to the respective shipping operator. If you are weighing using Method 2, the recorded total weight is added to the container s tare, resulting in a certifiable weight note. The generated dataset is directly and automatically transferred to the TALLY TECH app and forwarded to the server center where the data is checked, verified, and communicated to the shipping operator all SOLAS compliant

13 TALLY TECH.net Client The TALLY TECH.net client enables you to generate SOLAS-compliant weight notes directly from your system (e.g., SAP, ERP, TMS, etc.). The data can be completed and then transferred to the TALLY TECH server center, where it is checked, verified, and communicated to the shipping operator. This way, we guarantee that your containers are exported without any complications. The TALLY TECH client is easy to install and works with your Windows operating system. The application is accessible for all of our customers. Together with the TALLY TECH weighing app, you can record the respective container number into the app via QR code. After you receive the weight note, the data will automatically be forwarded to the TALLY TECH Clearing Center, from where it is transferred to the shipping operator. All weight notes that have been processed by the shipping operator are receipted and confirmed within the application
