Manual Yield Sampling Station USER-FRIENDLY METHOD TO MEASURE THE YIELD OF THE OUTPUT PRODUCTS Innova has created a new application for those who need to do manual sampling on any production line in fish, meat or poultry processing. The Manual Yield Sampling Station offers a simple, user-friendly method to measure the yield of the output products from an unprocessed product sample taken from a processing line. It makes the task easier and more efficient and accurate than before. Stand-alone or plant-wide Manual Yield Sampling Station can be implemented as a stand-alone product or as part of a plantwide solution including multiple Innova products and services. A typical setup with this module is a platform scale and a touch screen industrial workstation with an optional printer. The weighing screen Instant display of weight and yield The system can easily be adapted to various processes using customized product lists. Innova allows for instant display of the weight and yield of products recorded from the sample, and a yield report for the current purchase order can be generated. Direct yield reports Each yield sample is associated with a purchase order for identification. You can print out the yield report for the current purchase order at any time during the yield sampling process. It s also possible to view yield samples for other purchase orders by running the yield report straight from the terminal or from the office. 2

Scraping Yield Station for Poultry Measures scraping yield after the de -boning of a poultry carcass The Scraping Yield Station measures scraping yield after the de-boning of a poultry carcass. Deboning yield performance is evaluated by measuring how much meat is left on the carcass after de-boning. The system guides the operator through the process. Easy to read performance dashboard The station displays the overall performance of the selected line compared to the total performance of all lines. An easy to read dashboard gives you all the information on performance, be it a single line or a comparison of all lines. 5 Innova for Salmon Slicers Convenient line control The Innova Slicing software provides control, monitoring and analysis of salmon slicing lines. It can be implemented as a stand-alone product or part of a plant-wide solution. The Innova Slicing line control module gives you easy-to-use line control, real-time monitoring with reporting on actual performance. Information from the shop floor is collected in real-time and stored in the Innova database, enabling you to analyze and optimize your slicing and packing process. Centralized program management A typical salmon slicing line includes slicers, scales and optional checkweighers. It is conveniently managed from one master slicer. When a program is activated on the master slicer Innova makes sure that the whole line runs according to that program, including slicers, scales and checkweighers. Innova Slicing gives you: Central management of machine parameters and the activation of device programs Dashboards for real-time overview of the production Reports for daily, historic and analytic overview of production A quick configurator for time saving installation of the slicing line Assignment of orders, lot or other traceability criteria for running products on the line Alarm monitoring based on device status. Easy to read, graphic dashboards Innova Slicing comes with a default dashboard for the salmon slicing solution that provides realtime KPIs for the running program. It gives you real time information on: Yield Throughput Giveaway Inbound weight Efficiency Order statistics and predictions Accuracy on the I-Slice 3300 only 5

Innova Slicing dashboard An example of a KPI overview of for each slicing machine and totals for the entire line: Reports Innova Slicing offers you a comprehensive package of standard reports that include: Daily reports with an overview of the current production day Historic data for production overview over time Analysis of the input and output products of the slicer line 6

Innova Traceability Updates that keep you on track Traceability is a core requirement in today s food processing industry. Today s consumers want to know what they re consuming, and where it s coming from. Innova makes it possible for you to trace every product all the way back to its source. Full traceability strengthens the trust between the food processor and their customers. Easier to handle complex traceability requirements Traceability regulation requires processors to be able to trace food and ingredients through all stages of production, processing and distribution. They need to be able to identify the complete set of final products that include an ingredient and conversely to identify the complete set of ingredients used to produce a specific batch. New features for Innova Traceability make it easier to handle complex traceability requirements and to react quickly when issues are reported. Now the software has two lot types, a new function that can automatically create and activate changeover lots, new forward and backward trace reports and a manual way of adding supplies to any registration point. Overview of Traceability workflow Lots provide detailed traceability Innova uses lots to maintain traceability. We now have two different types of lots in the system: 8

A supplier lot is a supplier s production lot and can represent either protein, packaging or any other ingredients such as spices, marinades or cleaning supplies. A process lot is the internal traceability lot and represents a batch of intermediate or final products created in production. The lot assigned to a finished sellable unit has a supply list which provides detailed information on all supplies used to produce the unit. This provides a way to react quickly to any recalls or claims. Automatic lot changeover The traceability system has the option of automatically creating and activating changeover lots that are active for a specific time while a mix of supplies is being used. Changeover lots are activated automatically when new supply starts coming onto the line and deactivated when the old supply is all gone. This ensures complete traceability but minimizes the recall window. This is especially useful in inline processes when supplies are changing from A to B or when bringing offline material to the line and temporarily creating a mix of supplies. Changeover lots Supply management Now supplies can be added manually to any registration point, either from the office or by an operator using a PDA or a terminal. Supplies can also be activated automatically in production on a time basis or triggered by an event. Managing supplies using a terminal 9

Reports showing the whole picture New forward and backward trace reports make it quick and easy to view complete traceability information. The forward trace report looks forward by showing everything that was produced using a specific supply. The backward trace report looks backward by showing all supplies used to produce a specific lot. Forward trace report Backward trace report 10

Labeling Integration Print Engine Manage label printing from third party software The Innova Labeling module has a new feature that supports direct print requests from external systems. This makes it easier to manage label printing from third party software. It can connect the Innova label system with your company s ERP software offering the same user experience as when designing labels with Innova. The Labeling Integration Print Engine supports processing print requests over a web service or from XML files over the file system. Main features: Print requests are issued by the external system in the form of an XML file containing the printer and label layout to use. The print request also contains the data to use for data-bound label fields in the label layout. The Integration Print Engine provides the Innova Label Designer list of data fields that are used by the external system. Workflow for direct print requests from external systems 11
