Technical Session Connecting Europe Facility Projects: a tool for the infrastructure financing Federica Montaresi Autorità di Sistema Portuale del Mar Ligure Orientale

The European context where WiderMOS project was born and why we chose TEN-T MOS to submit the proposal Objectives, activities and results of WiderMOS projects WiderMOS best practice, capitalization of experience, follow up and new projects to achieve the maritime transport integration into the door to door logistics chain

Economy Environment Technology Democracy Shipping??? CHAOS = OPPORTUNITY

Which are the key elements for increasing the competitiveness of a port?

Effective maritime transport integration into the global door to door logistic chain Customs clearance Intensive use of railway assets INLAND TERMINAL INTERMODAL TRANSPORT PORT Real time operations Seamless information flow Tracking and Tracing Proactive handling management Intregated controls on goods

The new TEN-T guidelines Regulation EU 1315/2013 core network comprehensive network 9 multimodal Core Network Corridors Key words: #modalintegration #interoperability #coordinateddevelopment

The relation of MoS to the Core Network Corridors and European Coordinator's defined priorities Motorways of the Sea will remain the maritime dimension of the TEN-T network. By improving Maritime and Ports operations, MoS will allow the development of the underlying skeleton of the new multimodal core network corridors

There was a connection to build TEN-T core priority Corridors Need of a long term effective and sustainable connection between TEN-T corridors and MoS Motorways of the Sea

supporting interoperability between the sea and other transport modes by developing new port/ship/train interfaces and efficient port-hinterland connections

The fruits of WiderMoS tree Corridor Management Platform: Information pipelines aiming at overcoming specific bottlenecks with a focus on paperless logistics/e-customs processes and with priority for the integration of inland terminals and rail. MoS Study: setting options and opportunities for the future deployment of MoS and assessing its potential as the maritime dimension of TEN-T and as the 10th Corridor in the TEN-T Network New Governance Models: an in-depth analysis of 4 topics (customs procedures, logistic processes, core and comprehensive networks connection and green corridors) linked to the deployment of the governance model of the Core Network Corridors

Looking to the future. We don t see the end but we exactly know where we want to go! Cooperate to be competitive Mental shift for modal shift

Connecting Europe Facility Programme Transport Call for Proposals 2016 CONNECTING MOS project proposal The Ports of La Spezia and Trieste together for increasing the integration of Mediterranean MoS with the Scandinavian- Mediterranean, Baltic-Adriatic and Mediterranean CNCs

Towards an international dimension of Corridor Management Platform and not only International Fast Corridors pilot action Objectives: A - To further deploy the Corridor Management Platform at international cross border level B - To allow the seamless full digital management the tracking and tracing of goods along the whole supply chain C - To further deploy the Italian Fast Corridor procedure

CAPITALIZATION OF BEST PRACTICES SCANMED Rail Freight Corridor pilot project : Coordination between ScanMed RFC and Terminals & Ports Real time scheduling of rail transport accordingly to available paths work in progress Interoperability and effective integration between nodes and corridor last mile interoperability work in progress Smart shunting tool Connecting MOS Benefits: A coordinated Paths offer for Ports railway customers : PaP Catalogue 2018 Real rail integration between ports and corridors including logistics information to be integrated via PCS Increasing and improving port rail terminal capacity
