3 Merchant Ship Repairs We offer hull, machinery, electrical and accommodation repairs for ships in the dock, port or out at sea. HULL We have 40 yrs experience in carrying our various types of repairs on hull. We do repairs alongside or at anchorage or in shipyards depending on the size of repairs. We have carried out steel renewals using normal and high tensile steels, during planned renewals or to take care of emergency situations due to collision or other damages. An experienced team of Qualified welders, platers and fabricators carry out the repairs. Depending on the job we deploy MMAW or CO2 welding. In addition we have facilities like Aluminium welding for repair / fabricating new gangways. Since then we have come a long way executing a variety of rotating and fixed machinery repairs. Technicians trained and well experienced carry out these repairs. Rigging and logistics teams assist them in these executions. Other specialist supportive services required during the overhauls of the above like, In-situ crankshaft grinding, Metallocking, Dynamic balancing, Chock fasting, Metallising, Chrome plating, Special machining etc are also organized depending on the need. 4 RECONDITIONING Cost efficient ship repairs, necessitates Reconditioning / Remanufacturing of Original parts. We have internal facilities to completely rewind electric motors upto 100 KW. Larger size alternators are rewound with specialist contractors. Trained winders supported by winding facilities, baking oven etc help us to quickly deliver motors to marine standards. We use the best of winding wires and varnishes. We also wind transformers / coils etc. We carry out other trouble shooting work on board like starters / contactors / ACB related problems. In addition we can install new machinery, lay cables and hook up the same. 6 Ship Building Chidambaram Shipcare, with its decades of experience in ship repairs and hull construction, has ventured into building ships. We are now geared to build the hulls and install complex machinery on board sophisticated vessels. (PSI) an Indo-German joint venture between CSPL, India and SMAG Group, Germany was founded in 2011 and started commercial production from the Ranipet Factory in April PSI is a specialist engineering manufacturing company with core competency in development, design, manufacturing and servicing lifting equipment specifically designed for loading and unloading bulk material and cargo. CSPL is the only authorized service providers for SMAG Grabs in India and nearby countries. Representatives of Optimarin, Norway We are the representatives of OPTIMARIN A/S, a leading Norwegian ballast water treatment equipment maker which uses filtration and ultraviolet radiation processes. It has become one of the most sold systems for environmental treatment of ballast water. Optimarin chose to create a simple and flexible solution that does not use nor generate chemicals in its process. The system is purely based on filtration as pre-treatment and high doses of UV irradiation for inactivation of marine organisms.
