3 PRODUCTION Highlights Highlights in Responsive fonts Configurable font for Linked labels GS1 symbology identifier OPC communication Material Plan OpView

4 Responsive fonts WM Client Value: Uniformed device-adapted user interface enhancing the user experience. Simple and efficient installation, administration and maintenance of Extend devices, regardless of device display resolution. Background: Resolution differences on handheld devices (WM/CE) because of display technology development. Same device can have different resolution depending on displays available on the market. This has led to several different Extend client packages, containing different setup of fonts to use with sizes adapted to each device.

5 Responsive fonts WM Client Functionality: One new single standardized Extend client package with build in detection of device resolution and predefined font settings adapted for different resolutions. The client will automatically choose the best font settings to use depending on the device display resolution maximizing the user experience. Note! This complements the feature: Responsive icon size released in 15R2

Configurable font for Linked labels Extend 15R2 WM Client 6 Value: Improved visualization of Linked labels letting the customer adjust the font, based on their specific needs, for example translating to other languages that affects length on phrases. Background: Linked labels are used to visualize information when the text is to long to be shown in the dialog. The Linked label will show as much information as it fits the screen. When clicked upon it will show the full text in a new dialog.

Configurable font for Linked labels Extend 15R2 WM Client 7 Functionality: New setting available for deciding the font for information showed when expanding a Linked label.

GS1 symbology identifiers Core 8 Value: Enables the usage of GS1 symbology identifiers according to GS1 and the ISO/IEC standard. Enables the possibility for automatic identification of data carriers, increasing efficiency and quality handling barcodes.

GS1 symbology identifiers Core 9 Background: For barcoding, the symbology is the data carrier. Some barcode readers have the ability to provide information about the symbology that the decoded barcode uses. Functionality: Extend GS1 parser now also handles barcode information containing GS1 symbology identifiers. Extend makes it transparent using symbology identifiers (or not) while decoding GS1 barcodes.

10 GS1 symbology identifiers Core How it could be used: - Code 39 is used as barcode symbology for stock location barcodes - Interleaved 2 of 5 is used as symbology for item number on packages - None of the barcodes contain any prefix - The length can vary, so not possible to separate on length?

GS1 symbology identifiers Core 11 How it could be used: Without symbology identifiers transmitted with the barcode data, Extend would not know if a stock location barcode or a item barcode is read. With symbology identifiers enabled, the barcode reader would add a prefix telling what symbology that is used and therefore in this case what kind of label that has been scanned. Note! The GS1 parser in Extend will work transparent both with and without the symbology identifier without any needs of reconfiguration.

OPC Communication Value: Enables the possibility to easy connect production systems and peripherals to Extend, using a production well known standard. Use Extend as a message broker between production systems and the ERP system, exchanging data and linking the production equipment to the ERP system in real time. Core 12

OPC Communication Background: OPC communication is a well known, well defined industry standard that is widespread used in production environments. OPC communication is used when implementing Extend automatic labeling within production as well. Core 13 Functionality: Ethernet communication module for interfacing natively with PLCs using OPC protocol.

14 Material Plan Advanced Modules Value: Instant access to consolidated information from multiple data sources, that gives the operator necessary decision data to optimize inventory management. Background: A customer need to present information on planned production, receipt and dispatch in order to get important information for optimal decision making regarding: Best available stock location to store an item Most prioritized item to put to stock from production from a delivery needs Which other customers that needs a specific item number

Material Plan Advanced Modules 15 Functionality: New pre-defined process Material Plan, showing planned supply and withdrawal of the current item in the finished goods warehouse. Combines information from several different data sources in one single dialog:

16 OpView Extended Modules Value: Publish business critical information: Make better decisions, faster. Access to analytical data, work more efficiently Analyze and evaluate information, today not tomorrow Present business situations and performances, in real time Scalability and flexibility to grow and change Easy intuitive design tool High usability

17 OpView Extended Modules Background: Need for a powerful and easy-to-use tool for decision makers and super users, creating and visualizing dashboards for business improvement in the context of: Combining data from several systems Present information for decision makers Monitoring activities in the warehouse and production Immediate visualization of information on screens
