Civil Construction & Decoration of the Center 1.1 Sizes of center In order to enable the pin-setter to work normally, the size of the bowling center must meet the following requirements: 1) Size in width (in accordance with ABC/WIBC standards of USA) Qty. 5 4) Passage: in-house passages (including the minimum 500mm wide maintenance path beside lane) and in-house service facilities (including pin-setter maintenance, customer service facilities, etc) must be taken into consideration for overall arrangements by the design & construction organization of the bowling Center The Water-Proof of the floor and the wall must be taken into consideration during the design of the Center Safety passage must be taken into consideration during the design of the Center The side door to the pin-setter chamber must be at least 2200mm in width and 2400mm in height so that there is sufficient room for moving the pin-setter and the lane materials of 4500mm long into the installation area The overall dimension of the pinsetter is 2850mm 1560mm 1780mm(L W H). Weight of pinsetter BL0018 is 940KG and MC2 is 1100KG, in addition, the weight of lane is 70KG/m Effective acoustic materials must be used for the inside wall and the ceiling of the pin-setter chamber Ventilation of the chamber must be taken into consideration Fire-proofing materials must be used for decoration (Design & installation must be in accordance with local safety regulations) the pin-setter chamber must be equipped with fire extinguishers Air conditioning Room temperature of the bowling Center must be kept at 22 C-24 C, and the relative humidity must be kept at 40% -50%. Room temperature of the pin-setter chamber must be kept at 22 C-28 C The heat generation of each pin-setter is 1000Kcal/H. Air-conditioning must be started 15 days prior to the installation of the lanes in order to guarantee the quality of installation Wire pipes and other necessary pre-embedded parts must be embedded in advance according to the electrical requirements Equipment (especially lane overlay, lane foundation, lane frame, etc) must be stored in bowling Center of qualified conditions. They should stay there for 2 weeks before being installed Bowling equipment should be used below 1000m above sea level Since concrete nails are necessary during installation sometimes, floor thickness should not be more than 60mm; level error of cement floor should not be more than ±6mm; and grade of cement should be more than # Requirement for unit area load bearing in the lane installation area: Machine room (for pin-setters): not less than 450Kg/m². Lane area: not less than 30KG/m Installation of pin-setter & lanes must be performed two weeks after the civil 4

6 work and embellishment work have been finished Arrangement of overhead monitor lifting tubes: hang the lifting tubes according to Fig. 2 and Fig. 3 (dimensions only for reference, which can be adjusted according to practical situation). Length of the tube is 1500mm; inside space of the fixing feet should be more than 1000mm, which should be able to bear 100kg without any distortion and bending. Fig. 3 5

7 Fig Installation of the console and seating system (refer to Fig. 6.1~6.10) must follow after the flooring of rest area Veneer floor in the area of seating system and rest area is designed by the bowling center proprietor, and should be constructed after the lane installation the bowling center proprietor is responsible for the materials and installation of all AC and grounding requirements before bowling equipments get to bowling center. All electrical installations must confirm to all local and state codes, statutes or standards defined by local jurisdiction and/or inspections Except for installation of VIA bowling lane and other bowling equipments, VIA will not take charge of design and construction of others Refer to Fig. 4 for lifting tube arranging requirement of multilayer Masking Unit. 1) Height from the lane surface to the lifting tube for hanging Masking Unit should be more than 2800mm. 2) According to Fig. 2 and Fig. 4, the bowling center should provide four steel 6

8 pipes in the length of 1700mm and weight capacity more than 65kg each. 3) Note: if distance between the lane surface to the ceiling can be more than 2650mm, standard configured four-layer Masking Unit will be adopted; but in case of the dimension is less than 2650mm (refer to Fig. 2, recommended dimension is 2690mm), the first tier in the front will be cancelled, only three-layer Masking Unit will be adopted, so only 3 lifting tubes are necessary accordingly. 2.2 Power Supply & Electrical requirement Refer to Fig. 5 for power supply distribution in the bowling alley, where installing arrangement of overhead monitors is included in Fig Power supply of bowling equipment: 1) Voltage: voltage of bowing equipments can be configured and selected based on client s requirement, it s AC 230V or 400V normally. Power supply requirements of various products should be specified on their nameplate. 2) Power supply capacity: 3kw for each lane, so total capacity of the center (kw) = 3 (kw) x quantity of lanes. Voltage fluctuation should not be more than 5%. If these requirements can t be guaranteed, use a voltage regulator to guarantee the stability of the power supply. Above mentioned power supply capacity is only for the bowling equipments, does not include lighting and air conditioning. 3) Power supply to electrical equipment is in three-wire way that is single-phase two-wire plus an additional protective earth wire. 7

10 2.2.3 Distribution of electrical sockets: 1) Electrical sockets for the pin-setter One modulus switch box for every two lanes on the inner side of the screen wall, with two low voltage & over voltage protection switches, 2 sockets of 230V/25A, 4 sockets of 220V/15A, all with grounding terminal. 2) Electrical sockets for ball-return machine (every machine needs a power of 550W) Every group of lanes (two lanes) share one ball-returning machine (three lanes need two machines. Note: usually lanes are in pairs, such as 2, 4, 6 etc. Special arrangements can be proposed by customers). One socket of 230V/10A is installed at every ball-returning machine. Electricity is supplied in single-phase three-wire method. 3) Voltage regulator socket at the lower console (every lane needs a constant voltage power supply of 300W) Power supply to the lower console must be voltage-regulated. Every lane has one lower console. One socket of 220V/10A must be installed in the 200 x 100 (mm) hole below the lower console, or the power wire that is 1 meter out of the floor has a ground. Note: The earth wire here must be an independent grounding, separated from the earth wire of the public power net. 4) Socket for the LCD overhead monitor: every 32 panel LCD overhead monitor needs a power supply of 170W. There are two LCD monitors in upper front of the ball return (one for each lane, and there are three 230V/5A sockets above the LCD bracket. 5) Sockets for installation & maintenance Install several sockets of 230V/15A on the side walls or columns of the bowling Center for the purpose of installation, maintenance & cleaning. 6) Sockets for pin-setter chamber One socket of 230V/15A must be installed on the wall behind each set of pin-setter for the purpose of installation & maintenance. 7) Sockets for front-desk: Install several sockets of 230V/15A with earth wire at the front-desk. Note: The grounding here must share the same grounding system of the sockets for voltage regulator of lower consoles, and be separated from the public power net Layout of pre-embedded pipe 1) A 2 PVC pipe per lane should be provided on the gutter floor, between the pinspotter and the ball-return (Note 1). 2) Two 1.5 PVC pipes should be provided among main consoles (Note 2) as well as between the first main console and the reception desk. 3) Embed two 1.5 PVC pipes between each main console and the assistant console. 4) Embed a 2 PVC pipe for each lane at both sides of the ball-return to the consoles. Conduits at the console side should be 10mm-20mm rising from the floor for connection of the console. 9

11 5) Provide a 2 PVC pipe for every two lanes between the pin-setter and the 32 LCD monitor, lying from the ceiling. 6) Embed a 1.5 PVC pipe from the main console to the reception desk, and the conduit at the end of the main console should rise 10mm~20mm from the floor. Note 1: the bowling center proprietor is responsible for the PVC tubes and each tube length is 40 meters. Note 2: The main console: when a score system controls two lanes, the left one of the pair of lane will be the main lane, which has a computer installed in its console, and the console is called the main console, while the other console is called the assistant console. If a set of score system controls only one lane, its console is the main console grounding requirement The section area of the earth wire mustn t be smaller than 4mm 2 ; the grounding resistor mustn t be over 4Ω Air supply to the pneumatic bumper system 1) Supply pressure: 0.4Mpa. 2) Supply quantity: supply quantity (L/min) = 70 (L/min) X Quantity of lanes. 3) Air source joint: provide two φ8 quick couplings for each two lanes of bumper system (pneumatic). 4) Supply source: filtrated by an air filter to remove water, steam, oil mist and others from air Lighting Requirements The lighting brightness of the lane area must reach 300LUX 350 LUX The lighting in the area of players and spectators must be 150LUX-200LUX Two 40W daylight lamps must be installed over the center line of every two pin-setters in the pin-setter chamber The above-mentioned electrical devices must be taken into consideration during the design, construction, installation & furnishing of the bowling Center. They must be finished and supplied with power before the installation of the bowling equipment and meet the above-mentioned requirements. All sockets must be equipped with plugs. When pre-embedding the wire tubes, try to avoid bending of the tube, and iron wires must be put inside the tubes for drawing wires If purchasing fluorescent lane, there should be two illumination systems, and control of the fluorescent lamps and daylight lamps should be separated Requirements of transportation & storage of bowling equipment (pin-setter & lane) 1) Width & load bearing capacity of the road on which the truck (8-15 tons) carrying the bowling equipment passes must be taken into consideration 2) Space & passage necessary for the forklift, crane, the installation work & the transportation should be taken into consideration. 10

12 3) After the equipment is moved into the installation area, it must be placed in order, kept from direct sunlight or rain and in good ventilation. 4) The passages (including the doors) for transportation of equipment to the installation site must be sufficient for the easy pass of the pin-setter in the sizes of 1350 x 1700 x 2000 (mm) 5) Transportation of the bowling equipment including the moving during installation must be performed by the user, and the relevant cost is to be borne by the user. 6) Tools & expensive parts must be kept properly to avoid possible loss. 7) The temperature of stocking bowling equipment shouldn t be more than 70 8) the temperature inside of containers during transportation should be kept from -25 to Information to be provided by the proprietor of the bowling Center before installation of the equipment The following information must be provided by the proprietor of the bowling Center one month prior to the installation of the bowling equipment: 1) Layout plan of the bowling Center 2) The plane figure & the side elevation drawing of the bowling Center 3) Schedule of the in-house civil work and the furnishing 4) Schedule of the installation of electrical devices 5) The user must provide the plane figure of the bowling Center one and a half months prior to the installation if the user has special requirement on the lanes Others 1) The proprietor of the bowling Center is responsible for such safety measures as the guard, the fire-protection, & the anti-burglary work 2) If wood lane is to be installed, one warehouse for dangerous goods (paint for the lane) must be provided. 3) Arrange staff according to the contract. 4) The installation condition of the bowling Center must be in accordance with the local requirements. 5) Before installation of the lanes, the maintenance people of the bowling Center must be trained and be certified as qualified operator by our company. 6) Other work that requires co-operation 2.7 Layout plan of seating system There are several options for the seating system: 1) V04-1 seating system layout plan(refer to Fig 6.1) 2) V04-2 seating system layout plan(refer to Fig 6.2) 11
