3 Page no. :3 of GENERAL 1.1 SCOPE This specification covers the technical requirements for manufacturing testing, packing and delivery of bare All Aluminium alloy type AL3 stranded conductors, for use in distribution overhead electrical lines. 4 Page no. :4 of DOCUMENTS FOR THE PROPOSAL The bidder will submit together with his offer the following documents from the manufacturer: 3.1 Valid ISO 9001 certificate as defined in threshold conditions. 3.2 Signed Appendix 1: "Statement of manufacturing experience". 3.3 Complete and filled in summary of data Type test report: bidder will submit,for each type of conductor,one of the following: 3.4.1Type test report according to the relevant standard in par. 4, as described in par.6, for each of the proposed item(s). or Type test report according to the relevant standards in par. 4, as described in par.6, for similar item and Appendix 2: "obligation to submit type test report upon award of bid", signed by the bidder and the Manufacturer for each item. and Appendix 3: "Schedule up to delivery approval", signed by the bidder and the manufacturer for each item. 3.5 The outline drawing of the drum (for each item including dimensions). 3.6 Technical data sheet and catalogue of the conductor structure including catalog number. - The dimensions shall be in M.K.S(meter, kilogram, second) units. - The above mentioned documents will be in English or Hebrew. MANUFACTURING STANDARDS The conductors shall be manufactured and tested conforming to the following standards : -EN Conductors for overhead lines round wire concentric lay stranded conductors. -DIN Delivery drums. 4

MARKING On both sides of each drum the following data shall be printed on nailed metal label strongly attached - Manufacturer's Name. - Manufacturer's Part Number. - I.E.C.'s Order Number. - I.E.C.'s Catalog Number. - Drum Serial Number. - Manufacturing Date. - Cross Section area in mm 2. - Gross weight. - Net weight. - Conductor's length. 5

The conductors shall be supplied on non-returnable wooden drums. 3. All drums will be internally covered with a chemically neutral material in the winding area in addition wooden plates shall be mounted around the drum,close it from all sides properly packed and lagged to prevent the conductors from possible damage during shipment. 4. 7 Page no. :7 of QUALITY ASSURANCE Bidder s Quality Assurance Program shall meet the requirements described in ISO QUALITY CONTROL Quality control requirements will be according to I.E.C standard Q-APP- 02 Rev DELIVERY APPROVAL CONDITIONS The successful bidder (henceforth refer to as "the contractor") shall submit: 11.1 Contractor that submitted type tests for the proposed item shall submit sample test before each delivery Contractor that submitted type test for similar item shall submit for I.E.C approval : All the required documents for I.E.C approval as indicated in Appendix 3 " SCHEDULE UP TO DELIVERY APPROVAL", (within the period time) Sample test before each delivery. If the supplier fails to stand in the above requirements, in accordance with the terms of the tender documents and/or the order/contract within the periods above, it shall constitute a substantial breach, entitling the I.E.C to be paid liquidated damages according to Annexure A,and to pursue all other remedies available under the law for a substantial breach of contract Acceptance test: The I.E.C reserves the right to verify the compliance of the delivered item with this specification. Delivery which will not pass acceptance test will be rejected 7
