Featuring a client/server Windows-based graphical user interface, Alliance Air Export makes it easier than ever to manage shipments. Once information is keyed in it automatically flows to other processes handled by the system, keeping data entry to a minimum. For example, the system connects data entered at the warehouse to purchase order information and ultimately generates an air waybill. Operators simply decide which functions to complete for any given shipment. They can go from any screen to any other area of the Air Export system at any time. This flexibility enables users to navigate freely through the system completing tasks and responding to customer requests in an efficient manner. Once completed, operations can view air waybills on the screen, providing a quick visual basis for reviewing the document. At the same time, they can make any editing changes to meet letter of credit requirements. 3 Alliance Air Export Highlights Events Management System - At the heart of Alliance Forwarding is a comprehensive events system that maintains a detailed log of a shipment s progress, without requiring operators to manually enter data. As updated information on a shipment s status and location is received, the events system automatically updates the Forwarding database. The system keeps track of shipment details noting when a PO is opened, an AWB or bill of lading printed, and an invoice created. It also keeps track of external events such as when a booking is confirmed by a shipping company, an airline or a flight schedule changes. Shipments may be traced based on a wide variety of criteria including Air Waybill #, File #, Shipper, Origin/Destination, etc. Updates on external events are automatically brought into the system using either TDNI or EDI. The system also logs manual events such as a physical inventory or Customs clearance. Additionally, Alliance Air Export provides the means to compare anticipated dates with actual dates, which helps you identify any delays and discrepancies before they become serious problems. And the system provides exception reports that help you better manage operations. At the press of a button the events system can compile statistics and generate performance reports. Alliance Air Export features a comprehensive Events System that helps you establish strong internal controls for managing shipments and enables you to provide customers with up-to-the-minute information on shipment status via , fax, or the Internet. Airline Sales - The Airline Sales feature gives you a powerful tool for meeting your data reporting requirements and for monitoring carrier commissions and receivables. Designed to process both prepaid and collect shipments, the system produces IATA cargo reports and airline sales registers whether or not you are participating in CASS. The system also produces a Consolidation Profitability Report, which details the profitability of each consolidation and the commission and profit derived from each shipment. Consolidations - The Consolidated Processing Module is designed for the Air Freight Forwarder who handles a significant volume of consolidations. The Forwarder maintains a schedule of consolidations (Flight Schedule) including Master Air Waybill # automatically assigned by the system, Origin, Destination, Flight #, and Departure Date and Time. Document Handling Capabilities - Alliance Air Export produces air waybills, manifests, shipper s export declarations, certificates of origin, invoices, pickup orders, labels, quotations and a shipment log. The copy feature allows you to recall a prior shipment and copy all of the data elements, reducing the amount of time required to produce new air waybills. Air waybills can be displayed to the screen for final audit or corrections to meet letter of credit requirements. All documents can be automatically faxed as well as printed.

4 Alliance Air Export Highlights (continued) Warehouse Control - Alliance Air Export helps you manage shipments stored in a warehouse. The system tracks goods received and shipped from the warehouse, prints labels, and generates reports for on-hand quantities. Onhand quantities can be connected to orders or files (assemblies). Whenever shipments enter or leave the warehouse, the event management system automatically updates the record with the date and time. The Air Export system features a Warehouse Control module, which enables you to keep track of shipments by location. PO Tracking - Alliance Air Export helps you track PO s received from agents or any other trading partner. The system automatically records the date the PO is received, expected pickup date, on-hand quantity, expected departure date, and the date the shipment actually leaves the warehouse. Any delays at either the supplier or the warehouse can also be entered to update status. The event management system allows you to automatically generate a report or query on follow-up status, helping you better manage the many details associated with each shipment. Flight Planning - To help you select the best carrier and flight time, Alliance Air Export lets you download a commercially-available database of all flights and routings. You can review flights to a destination and sort the list by priority and date. The system also marks which flights you have already booked for other shipments. The system operations center makes navigation easy. With one keystroke, users can switch between the details of house bills, master bills, and orders. Additionally, it provides quick data entry, queries on events, and access to all shipment functions. Management Reports - Management reports provide you with clear, concise information in a timely manner so that you can better manage your company s operations. Reports include a 12-month rolling trend analysis for route management, shipper activity, client business load, and agent activity. These reports provide you with a powerful tool for negotiating rates and enhancing your relationships with customers, agents, and other trading partners. Other reports provided include: airline activity, consolidation profit, and airlines commission reconciliation, to name a few. Quotations - The quotations module enables you to create and send quotations to your customers in a way that is familiar, quick and convenient. Quotes can be printed, laser printed, faxed or ed and easily converted into a shipment. Integrated Billing - The billing function automatically defaults standard charges and calculates billing tariffs, eliminating the need to re-enter data for invoicing purposes. It enables you to automatically create invoices for prepaid and collect charges, ensuring all invoices are prepared in a timely manner with the highest level of accuracy. It also handles auto credits as well as provides the ability to copy and modify the previous invoice.

5 Alliance Air Export Options Unassisted Customer Service - One of the most powerful features of Alliance Air Export is its ability to provide unassisted customer service. You can set up its events system to automatically send an alert to an employee, agent, carrier, customer or any other trading partner using , EDI, or fax. You can issue alerts when events happen or do not happen as planned, when shipment status changes, or when any other preestablished criteria is met. The system has the power to utilize Boolean logic with any combination of events or data elements to establish the criteria for sending an alert. For example, you could set the system up to automatically send a fax pre-alert when a flight departs. Additionally, the method for establishing these alerts can be built using a multi-tiered approach allowing for an unlimited matrix of possibilities. EVENT: Flight Departed Alliance Air Export can be set-up to automatically issue alerts on shipment status or other critical events to your customers and trading partners via fax, , or EDI. AES Module - An Automated Export System (AES) module is fully integrated with Alliance Air Export, automating the process of complying with reporting requirements. Users input and validate AES data through the standard shipment processing program. AES data is then automatically extracted and sent to Customs using the EDI EDIFACT standard and results fed back to the Alliance database upon receipt. Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) - Alliance Air Export has an integrated EDI module that allows shipment data to be seamlessly passed back and forth between you and your agents, carriers, customers or any other trading partner. EDI transmissions significantly reduce errors and the time spent manually keying information into the system, yielding significant productivity increases. Extranet - Using an Internet-based Extranet, you can link your company and your customers, agents, brokers and other trading partners in a global network. Such a network can provide customers and trading partners with instant access to information on shipment details, status and tracking, as well as enable them to enter orders directly. An Extranet helps you work more closely with your trading partners while offering a higher level of service and convenience to customers. The AES module enables you to automate the process of complying with Customs reporting requirements. FaxExport Interface - This module provides a vehicle to fax export documents from Alliance Air Export. Forms such as air waybills, bills of lading, manifest invoices, cargo manifests, and export declarations can be predetermined and sent to specific parties. The system can fax any form that can be printed and send it at any predetermined time.
