Sharp takes a big chunk of panel production by area and consumes a big amount of strippers. The annual stripper consumption by Sharp reached 10,000 tons in 2012 and will climb to 11,000 tons in Unless there are major economic issues, the consumption volume by Sharp will nudge up, reaching 12,000 tons per year. Except for Sharp, other panel makers in Japan have no reasons to push up stripper demand and are expected to maintain the current levels of stripper consumption. Except Panasonic, other panel makers in Japan do not roll out large-size panels and thus, consume a very low amount of strippers compared with Sharp. Sharp accounts for more than 70% of stripper consumption in Japan in As Japanese TFT LCD panel markets have no reasons to boost capacity or to set up new production lines for now, the stripper market is expected to maintain the current status in terms of market shares through Report LCD Materials & Components TFT LCD Material Analysis 2014: Stripper 8
