4 What is the Fall Product Program? The Fall Product Program is the beginning platform of the Girl Scout Entrepreneurial Program. It s where girls can begin learning 5 essential skills Money Management, Business Ethics, People Skills, Decision Making and Goal Setting that she will use throughout her life. Plus, the Program allows troops to earn the funds needed to run their troop early in the year long before the Girl Scout Cookie Program, while also helping girls build their confidence. It helps new troops with start-up cash, and existing troops to provide activities the girls want to do. The Fall Product Program enables troops to get an early start on reaching their GOALS! In addition, the Fall Product Program helps girls to build self-esteem! They learn that they can set a goal, budget the costs, create a marketing plan and then go out and make it happen. It teaches girls valuable life-lessons and empowers them to believe in themselves. With the help of their leaders, parents and guardians, girls learn they can do anything they set their mind to. They establish a CAN DO philosophy that will carry them throughout their lives; they learn to SOAR ABOVE and GO BEYOND! The Fall Product Program is comprised of two components: Nuts and Candy and Magazines. Both components have an ONLINE option for customers to purchase products. Select Nuts & Candy items can also be pre-ordered on a Paper Order Card for the girl to delivery directly. Girls have the option to participate in the sale via the Paper Order Card or ONLINE option alone, or they can choose to do both. Skills Learned for a Lifetime! The Girl Scout Fall Product Program is an awesome starting point for building on these five essential skills that girls can use for a lifetime: Goal setting - as she sets a fall product goals and makes a plan to reach them. Decision-making - as she helps decide how her team will spend the Fall Product Program money. Money management - as she makes a budget takes orders and handles customers money. People skills - as she learns to talk and listen to all kinds of people while selling fall product. Business ethics - as she is honest and responsible every step of the way. Your time and talents are valuable to girls and to the Girl Scout Fall Product Program. Thank you for helping build a program where girls learn, grow and make a lasting impact on the world. In addition to these important business skills, girls will also learn philanthropy through the Care To Share program. 4
