The application form must be completed and received and approved by The Oude Molen Eco-Village Market m a n a g e m e n t before any trading can happen. The Oude Molen Eco-Village Market management reserves the right of admission and makes no guarantees. This is a public space which you use entirely at your own risk. Steps to Follow in Becoming a Registered Trader 1 READ THE TRADER APPLICATION FORM - EXPLANATORY NOTES Please read the explanatory notes (this form) carefully. Please contact us with any queries. FILL OUT THE TRADER APPLICATION FORM 2 Please write clearly using BLOCK LETTERS or TYPE. Please fill in ALL sections. MAIL YOUR APPLICATION FORM TO 3 Mail your Application Form to market@yeswecansportandjazz.com or fax to APPLICATION REVIEW 4 We review your application to determine if you display the broad criteria we are interested in ARRANGE AN INTERVIEW IF REQUIRED 5 We will contact you to arrange an interview to showcase your product IMPORTANT: Having an interview does not guarantee approval to trade. 6 COME TO THE INTERVIEW Bring samples of your product(s). Interviews take about minutes. ADVISE APPLICANTS OF THEIR STATUS all applicants will be advised within 7 working days of your interview. 7 IF SUCCESSFUL: you will receive your official Trader number and a code of conduct IF UNSUCCESSFUL: please don t hesitate to contact us to discuss why you were not accepted for the Market. An eclectic mix of a fully fledged fresh produce and food m arket and an artist craft market in safe family surroundings all rolled into one. HOW DO I APPLY TO BECOME A REGULAR STALLHOLDER/TRADER? Register as an Artist, Grower, Maker, Trader by filling out the Trader Application Form and mail it to: market@yeswecansportandjazz.com or fax If your application displays the broad criteria we are interested in the Market s Management will contact you for more information HOW SOON WILL I RECEIVE A RESPONSE? Within 7 working days of your application being received. WHAT KINDS OF PRODUCTS CAN BE SOLD? The types of products you can sell at the Market is only limited by your imagination in the areas of f o o d ; f r e s h p r o d u c e a n d craft. WHAT ARE THE APPROVAL CRITERIA FOR THE OUDE MOLEN ECO-VILLAGE MARKET? Products needs to have a potential for financial success Products need to demonstrate creativity and innovation Products need quality of craftsmanship Products need to express rarity and individuality Traders need a markets personality: [Are you vibrant, passionate about your product and a good communicator?] WHAT KINDS OF PRODUCTS CAN BE SOLD? The types of products you can sell at the Market is only limited by your imagination, and include (but are not limited to Art and Craft. Food Organic dry goods, Veggies, Eggs, Cheeses, Bakes etc) The more creative and unique the better! The more home-made; creative and unique the better! (A list of preferred Items to guide you is available on request) Products should be designed and made by the stall applicant. Food and Fresh produce and Dry Goods should be of a high q uality. All food Traders must have a certificate of acceptability for their stall/trailers/pre-prepared food where applicable. No polystyrene containers are allowed at this market. Only 100% compostable containers are permitted. ARE THERE ANY PRODUCTS PROHIBITED FOR SALE BY STALLHOLDERS Goods or merchandise which infringe any copyright or r egistered trade mark; Goods or merchandise that cannot be sold by law; Goods or merchandise made from questionable or hazardous materials. Dedicated product lines must all be local. No imported line item produce may be sold at the market, e.g. No Imported olives, garlic, seafood, chicken etc. However, imported ingredients for value added produce/ products e.g. some imported varieties of coffee beans, teas, essential Oils, herbs and spices. Products must be GMO Free and contain no Monsanto products whatsoever. STALL APPLICATIONS? Traders wishing to submit an application should do so in the form of a proposal detailing: information about the food/craft concept for the stall; proposed menu and prices; display ideas; r elevant information regarding any pre-market food OR craft preparation. The following considerations will influence selection: Artist designed: is the product designed by the artist, crafts person or designer? Artist made: is the product hand made by the artist, crafts person, maker, grower, baker or designer? The decision to approve all stalls is totally at the discretion of the Market s Management Market Management reserves the right to verify any Information provided. Note: Lines not grown in South Africa are permitted provided they do not form the majority products on offer. PRICING Whilst produce/product prices are not subject to Market Rules, the Market Management strives to maintain a balance of produce/product lines to ensure competitive pricing among stall holders AND value for money for patrons to the market.

3 Frequently Asked Questions (cont) WHAT HAPPENS WHEN IT RAINS? The Oude Molen Eco-Village Market is an all weather market. The market trades every Sunday, even during rainy weather, however a trader can decide whether to continue to trade when it rains. It is the Trader's responsibility to ensure that products are protected. Traders will h o w e v e r be charged stall fees if they register for a trading day and do not trade. Market Management has the right to close the market in exceptional weather conditions. WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING AS A STALL HOLDER? Each trader will need to bring different things with them to make their life comfortable at the Markets. As a general indication, you will need: your stock; a market umbrella/canopy and sand bag weights; a table cover; display, signage and promotion materials; a change float to suit your product pricing; and a chair to sit on. CAN NEW PRODUCTS BE SOLD AT A STALL? Stallholders may vary designs within their approved product line without the Market Management s approval. However, Management approval must be sought if a stallholders wishes to move into a product line different to the one that was initially approved. IS PARKING AVAILABLE? Safe off street parking for Registered Stall Holders is available. There is also parking for patrons. DOES THE OUDE MOLEN ECO-VILLAGE MARKET HAVE A SUSTAINABLE ETHIC? Registered permanent Traders /sms/whatsapp. Bookings open 1pm close midnight. Casual once-off Day Traders /sms/whatsapp. Booking opens Thursday closes Friday 10pm.. 1 St come 1 st served. T&C's apply HOW DO I PAY FOR MY STALL? Registered Traders Via EFT, no later than Thursday. Payments confirm your space. Casual Day Traders: via EFT or with your debit/credit card at the Market Office on Saturday morning from 8:30am. Payments c onfirm your space. Initially cash will be accepted but shortly regretfully NO CASH unless Exceptional circumstances! WHAT IF I PAY AND DONT PITCH? Stall fees are non refundable. WHAT GETS PROVIDED TO THE STALL-HOLDER A dedicated site to trade from that includes a table on which to display your products. Access to water and some electrification (that gets controlled). Ablution facilities to vendors and patrons. Most of the sites are covered. Seating and eating areas are provided to patrons. Overall marketing conducted by the Market management. The market area gets cleaned by the market management. STALL FEES, SIZES & HOURS Stalls fees at the Oude Molen Eco-Village Market vary due to their size and market exposure. As a guide, general stall space costs are: 1,5m stall: R250 3m stall: R500 Food Truck: R450 (size dependant) TRADING HOURS SUNDAY from 09H00 to 15H00 Set Up from : O7h00 All stalls must be cleared by 16H00. CAN I HAVE A STALL FOR A FEW WEEKS, ON A CASUAL BASIS? Yes, but you have to reapply each week or become a registered stall holder. (A nominal once-off fee is payable to become a registered stall holder) The Market Management reserves the right to exercise absolute discretion in all matters related to the management and administration of the Market and attending stallholders.
