4 CONFERENCE OVERVIEW ARTPRENEUR 2015 will be a one day conference dedicated to helping artists succeed in business. The conference will bring together leading creative industries experts and art community individuals who will motivate and inform artists on how to transform their passions into professions. On Saturday October 17, 2015 conference delegates can expect to: Focus on the business side of creating, marketing and selling their art. Tap into the most current trends, business resources and information. Network with fellow artists, artistic business leaders and vendors. Make valuable connections within the creative sector and business community. Get tips and advice on best approaches for a rewarding career and profitable business. Gain insight about the evolving market and what the future holds for the arts business community. The fourth ARTPRENEUR conference will be held at the state-of-the-art Shenkman Arts Centre, in Ottawa, Ontario. The multi-disciplinary arts centre will provide large conference spaces for a vendors expo, breakout session rooms and a presentation attendance capacity of 500-seats in the Harold Shenkman Hall. The program will feature inspirational and successful key note speakers, real-world experience workshops, relevant product demonstrations and numerous networking opportunities. ARTPRENEUR 2015 is a collaborative effort between AOE Arts Council, Ottawa School of Art, the Shenkman Arts Centre and Wallack s Art Supplies. The Conference Committee is dedicated to ensuring that the content, format and atmosphere of the conference: bring current and relevant business information to artists of all disciplines; be affordable and accessible to all artists; emphasize the importance of the arts in the economy; assist artists in becoming sustainable artists; and encourage youth into choosing a career in the arts. 7 EXPO HALL AND EXPECTATIONS Exhibitor Rules and Expectations *If you chose to exhibit Set up and take down - Upon arrival exhibitors are to check in with the Expo Hall coordinator. - Set up and take down takes place the day of the event with no exceptions. - Exhibitors can arrive on site at 7:00 a.m. and must be set up by 8:00 a.m. - All exhibitors will be asked to use the North back entrance to access the Shenkman Arts Centre for set up and take down. - Bring in your own cables and power cords. - If you have any cables please ask the Expo Hall Coordinator to have our conference team secure them to the floor with special tape. - Exhibitors are required to stay for the day and have someone at their booth until the close of ARTPRENEUR. - Take down can commence at the close of ARTPRENEUR at 5:00 p.m. to allow any attendees a final opportunity to meet with exhibitors. Free Parking - Exhibitors are asked to unload in the North back entrance located behind the Shenkman Arts Centre and to park and to park in the lot behind the Ruddy Family YMCA. Booth Configuration - Exhibitors are asked to respect the ARTPRENEUR booth configurations and the allocated space they are entitled to without encroaching on neighboring exhibitor space(s). - Please indicate if preferred position and/or side to side booths are required. - Premium paid booth locations will be confirmed by ARTPRENEUR once all key sponsor booths have been assigned. What you can display - We encourage exhibitors to bring plenty of business cards and marketing materials, handouts or publications. - The sale of products and services as they relate in the context of the ARTPRENEUR Conference is permitted. This is not an artist vendors market. - Roll up banners for Expo and Optimal exhibitors are to be displayed as to not encroach on the walking path of the Expo Hall floor or block sight lines of other exhibitors. - ARTPRENEUR reserves the right to ask an exhibitor to remove item(s) from their display if they are found to be inappropriate or out of the context of the ARTPRENEUR Conference. Power Outlet and Wi-Fi Access - The Shenkman Arts Centre has a specific number of power outlets available for conference exhibitor use. The Conference planning team will do our best to accommodate requests on a first come first serve basis and based on exhibitor/sponsor priority. - Power up essential equipment only and keep the spotlights for your next show. - Exhibitors will receive a special Wi-Fi access code for use with one device per exhibitor.

8 Food and Snacks - All exhibitors can attend an early morning Networking Breakfast with attendees and conference speakers. - All exhibitors will have access to a special allday coffee bar with free coffee and tea and light snacks available for sale. - There are water fountains and vending machines at the Shenkman Arts Centre. - An optional lunch can be included with your exhibitor pass for the cost of ($15) - We ask that exhibitors eat at their booths to provide seating capacity for attendees - We encourage exhibitors to bring their own refillable containers/mugs to help keep the conference eco-friendly.
