SMARTSPHERES RETAIL INTRODUCTION Approaching a retail establishment as an ecosystem is vital for achieving the balance between low operational cost and high customer satisfaction. Iamus Smart Retail products and solutions are designed for exactly those kinds of ecosystems.in many cases, retailers struggle to see their business through the eyes of the customer to help optimize their operations. Without a proper understanding of how customer experience relates to their operational costs, retailers make decisions based on insufficient data. Our robust software platform with specialized analytics fills those data gaps. The most successful retailers are those that know everything about how the customer interacts with the store and tailor it to create a pleasant, frictionless experience. Our Smart Sensors monitor customer behavior and produce actionable information instrumental for optimizing product placement and in-store navigation. Additionally, our scalable software platform and SmartNode technology optimizes energy usage, maintains a pleasant in-store ambience and minimizes inventory loss. For the ultimate retail experience, our framework is the perfect foundation for building Smart Marketing apps, loyalty systems and interactive surveys. Our portfolio of Smart Solutions is flexible and scalable, providing exactly the technology to bring your retail business to the next level. 3 SMARTSPHERES RETAIL SMART BUILDING Operational Cost Overhead costs constitute a substantial expense for any retail establishment. The best way to intelligently optimize energy usage is to tailor it to demand. Lighting, climate control and equipment are interconnected via a single network based on our Service Delivery Framework (SDF). Our SmartNodes set operational rules for the entire network. Lighting is set to a specific benchmark of illumination levels within the store, dimming artificial lighting if natural light is abundant. Climate control and heating respond to changes in weather, presetting the system to expected weather and time-of-day temperature fluctuation. Additionally, our system knows the benchmarks for energy consumption for all equipment, from refrigeration units to heated shelves, and notifies the manager if any efficiency issues arise. Store Ambience The way consumers perceive items in stores is dependent on the store itself. That is why our systems automatically monitor and maintain ambience within the retail space through our Smart Sensor technology. Temperature and humidity are automatically managed and can even be customized for a specific product section. Food products can receive additional humidification to maintain freshness, for example. In fashion store application, winter clothing sections can be individually cooled for greater customer comfort. Music and other multimedia are also customizable to play different music in various store sections according to their thematic differences. The same is true of in-store fragrance, which plays an important role in the sensory experience of the store. Special devices are installed to dispense your unique store scent and consistently give your customers that familiar scent that makes your store stand out in the mind.

SMARTSPHERES RETAIL MANAGEMENT Inventory TrackingzRetailers are realizing the immense value IoT analytics play in precise inventory tracking. Using Smart Tag technology, you can trace and locate any item on an individual level, whether it be an item of stock or a portable piece of equipment. This adds a security measure, drastically minimizing theft. Our SDF analytics enable live inventory management, helping prevent overstocking and understocking of goods by always knowing what is in demand in relationship to what is on the shelves. As a result, efficiency is increased by reducing loss of assets and streamlining inventory management. Digital Operation Center Our software framework is the perfect tool for streamlining management through our Operation Center capabilities. With a comprehensive live overview of all essential data at their fingertips, managers respond to issues quickly and effectively. Live data such as employee location, number of customers on the retail floor, equipment health and current stock levels is readily available on a mobile device, keeping your business always within reach.

SMARTSPHERES RETAIL CUSTOMER INSIGHTS Understanding Your Customer Understanding your customer s needs and experience within the store is vital. Our IoT Platform with Smart Sensor technology gathers and analyzes customer data and turns it into actionable information for strategic decisions. Cameras track customer movement around the store producing a heat map of locations where customers spend more time, allowing you to optimize product placement accordingly. Smart Sensors integrated within the store see the path customers take, revealing how efficiently they get to their desired product. With this information, you can create the perfect store layout ensuring that your customers spend more time shopping and less time trying to navigate the store. Smart Marketing Most consumers expect personalized marketing as brands and products compete for consumer attention. Our IoT Platform is perfect for delivering a personalized marketing strategy coordinated across platforms and devices. Smart Beacons notify customers of sales and promotions via mobile app when a consumer passes by the store. In a similar fashion, digital signage can be used to create tailored ads to anyone approaching, based on previous purchasing patterns. The signage is interactive, helping customers to find desired products or check if the product they re holding comes in a different color or size for example. These technologies enable you to measure the effectiveness of ad campaigns and marketing methods, directly impacting sales.

DATA MAP DATA Raw data is gathered by external sensors that relay information to the SmartNodes, which support more than 90% of industry standard protocols - wired, wireless and network access - which translates to support for over external devices. All protocols are normalized, allowing them to be mixed and matched as needed. RULES SmartNodes comes in various forms and levels of computational power, from a single sensor to a standalone cloudlet. They can instantly backup other SmartNodes when needed, ensuring a highly reliable system. Data from SmartNodes is sent to the Service Delivery Framework (SDF) that contains and enforces operational rules. In turn, SDF sends instructions back to the SmartNodes that manage the functions of external devices accordingly. SMARTNODE EDGE DEVICE SMARTNODE EDGE DEVICE

DATA MAP ANALYSIS / BUSINESS LOGIC SDF is a dynamic self-learning system that orchestrates all device functions in a strategic way, facilitating a cooperative digital network and creating a true ecosystem. SDF data processing architecture, while multifaceted, serves to reduce complexity by eliminating data blind spots, thus producing better solutions. Rules and benchmarks are continuously improved and adapted to a greater range of operational scenarios. DOMAIN KNOWLEDGE SDF analytics generate actionable information for the user, giving them a live bird s-eye view of their domain. In the short term, this enhances quick and informed decision-making on a day-to-day scale; in the long term, it produces highly valuable domain knowledge that serves as a solid foundation for strategic planning. It is this domain knowledge that is at the foundation of our SmartSpheres industry blueprints. Each new product application refines our knowledge of industry best practices, benefitting every single one of our existing customers. This forward-thinking approach is what guarantees that you get a future-proof product. ACTIONABLE INFORMATION ACTIONABLE INFORMATION ACTIONABLE INFORMATION

SMARTSPHERES RETAIL PROJECTS Energy Optimization A grocery retail client wanted to reduce the energy consumption of their store. To acheve this, we have automated many of the processes and programmed various electrical systems to work on an on-demand basis. We made sure that refrigeration units that are open during opening hours close automatically when the store would closes. Shelving, especially of cold storage units, is done more efficiently by grouping products according to the product placement plan before the shelving process begins. That meant that shelving took less time so less energy was necessary to bring the cold storage units back to the correct temperature. Additioanlly, all systems would perate on an on-demand basis. When the store manager comes in, only a third of the lights in the store come on, providing sufficient illumination until the store opens, while section that didnʼt need any lights before the store opened remained dark. The same principle applied to heating and cooling systems and water boilers. Humidifiers were installed into vegetable produce section to help maintain the freshness of goods, while reducing the need for cooling. Finally, the placement of store equipment was optimised. Goods that required low temperature were placed at the most optimal distance from goods that are kept warm. All of these measures resulted in significant energy savings for our client. Store Directory A client wanted to create a large interactive screen that would function as advertising space and store directory. Our device allows the customers to easily locate the establishment they are looking for, or find information such as opening hours and restaurant menus. The client can also display advertising, promotional material for events, and show which of the stores stores had sales. That way customers know exactly what is going on in their space and can navigate to their desired stores, restaurants and entertainment with greater efficiency. Retail Analytics One of our clients wanted to know as much as possible about the foot traffic in their store. With our intelligent cameras with specifically configured analytics, the client now is able to count the number of people coming in, and get information about their gender, age group and moods. This is made possible through our facial and gesture analytics software. All of this information provided highly valuable statistics, while being completely anonymized. Whats more, loyalty cards are enhanced to have smart features, such as a special app that makes product suggestions to the customer based on their purchasing habits.
