2 PURPOSE OF THIS DOCUMENT Use this Social Media Guide to drive awareness and engagement with your social audiences about the exciting transformation and growth opportunities at Microsoft Inspire that empower partners to do more for their customers. PRE-EVENT Overview: 1. Microsoft Inspire Twibbons 2. Social media campaigns a) Month of Inspiration b) Elevate Your Pitch c) #MSPartnerStory 1. Microsoft Inspire Twibbons Generate awareness and excitement for Microsoft Inspire by adding a Twibbon to your social media accounts. Twibbons will be available beginning June 11, so please join us and add a Twibbon to your profile! Directions: Visit to add the branded #MSInspire Twibbon to your Twitter and Facebook accounts. Option 1 for Twitter: Select Login to Add Twibbon and select to login with your Twitter account. Twibbons will automatically pull your profile picture and add our branding, and you may preview before officially adding it. 2

3 Option 2 for Facebook: You can select to login with your Facebook account. After selecting Upload to Facebook, visit your Facebook Photo Albums to find the photo album created by the Twibbon app. You ll then be able to make this image your profile picture. Option 3: You also have the option to download the Twibbon and upload the image yourself: 3

4 2. Social media campaigns Participate in our social media activities by posting about Microsoft Inspire, sharing content, and leveraging our pre-made image and copy assets. Directions: Follow Microsoft Partner Network on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn for examples of social posts or to amplify yourself. o MPN Facebook o MPN Twitter o MPN LinkedIn Respond to our social prompts and include the following approved hash tags in every post: #MSPartner #MSInspire. Amplify our posts by sharing them from your social channels. Use our pre-made image and copy assets. Create your own original posts but we ask that you use our pre-made image assets and not create your own. We recommend posting 1-2 times per week. Be sure to include the following approved hash tags in every post: #MSPartner and #MSInspire. You can also on Twitter or link to our page on Facebook. 5 You will see folders for each social channel that contain resized images that work correctly with those channel s image requirements. Campaign 1: Month of Inspiration Participate in our Month of Inspiration activities on social by posting about Microsoft Inspire and leveraging our pre-made image and copy assets, starting June 11 th. Include the hashtags #MSPartner and #MSInspire in every post. Weekly, starting June 4 leading up to Microsoft Inspire, we will post a prompt from our MS Partner channels where we would like you to engage with us. Below is an example from week 1: We re so excited about the accomplishments of our partners, we re celebrating with an entire month of inspiration. 7 Campaign 2: Elevate Your Pitch This year at Microsoft Inspire, we will have a pitch elevator where attendees can get a professional video recording of their elevator pitch to use as a digital networking tool. Leverage our pre-made image and copy assets to emphasize the importance of having a great elevator pitch, promote the on-site opportunity at the conference, and share tips to create the perfect elevator pitch. Use these Microsoft Inspire hashtags: #MSPartner #MSInspire #MSElevateYourPitch Social copy to post or to use as inspiration to create your own: You never know who you re going to meet, so it s important to always have a polished elevator pitch ready. Partners can submit their #MSPartnerStory as a video or written copy about how they are driving transformation through innovative customer solutions. During-event social activity Promote the event and share your excitement on your social channels. Suggestions: reactive and proactive graphics relating to sessions as they are made available during the event. 8

9 Share reactive posts from Elevate Your Pitch and engage with other attendees,both onsite and virtual, encouraging them to share and connect. Use #MSElevateYourPitch. Remember if you're working with first-time attendees or are a first-time attendee, please post with the #New2MSInspire hashtag. Check out the social wall powered by Sprinklr at the Community Hub which will feature our influencers and social conversations. You ll have a chance to be featured, as well, so remember to use the Microsoft Inspire hashtags in your posts. Follow and mention our Corenote Speakers and Microsoft Execs. Amplify the One Celebration. Continue to include #MSPartner and #MSInspire on every post. 2. Twibbon Keep your Twibbon on your social profiles throughout the event. POST-EVENT Overview: Post your thoughts and what excited you about Microsoft Inspire while still utilizing the #MSInspire and #MSPartner hashtag. Share your elevator pitch from Microsoft Inspire and engage with other partners who are sharing their own. Share posts from #MSElevateYourPitch. Continue content. Keep the conversations going on social by using #MSPartner throughout the year. Share success stories using #MSPartnerStory for an opportunity to be featured in the MPN Partner Success Gallery.
