You can download them all for free here: Case Study #5 Video Creation Secrets Here s how we created a new video based training product from scratch, set it up on Udemy for the reg price of $97 called Video Creation Fast Track Then to product launch/kick start the course with a bang we fire up Easy Deal Builder and ran a deal for it.

4 After some in house and affiliate promotions in August of this year this deal added another 800+ customers and nearly $16,000 in gross sales on the JVZoo network where we ran our deal. (That s not counting sales we have had in the months since and also direct sales at Udemy as well) It s also gotten stellar reviews on Udemy

5 Here s why we did this (Yes we had a few ulterior motives) One was to get more students on our Udemy account & get some reviews going right away. We accomplished what might have taken several months in just a few weeks. We have more video courses on Udemy and its pretty safe to say that a good % of students from one course will go on to buy another course (as long as they like it) Plus, here s something many people don t know yet - Udemy will promote your courses for you as long as you re gaining traction with students, positive reviews and such. We also wanted to get more customers into our TutorialMixer.com service so we used that as the OTO behind this for a special price. (that added another $5k or so in sales to the sales funnel) Easy Deal Builder made this super easy to run the whole campaign! How we did this (This is why having great people to work with can help speed things up in your business) We created the product with our video creation specialist partner Stephen Luc (the guy is like a machine when it comes to creating videos). We saw a need and decided to fill it with this course.

6 So we got on Skype with our buddy Stephen, worked out the details and laid out some business plans for it. We then all got to work along with our team of ninjas, each of us doing our part to make sure this got done as quickly and as professionally as possible. We decided to use the JVZoo platform to manage sales, deliver access to our customers and let affiliates make commissions by promoting it. It s a piece of cake to use JVZoo with Easy Deal Builder because it s fully integrated. For pricing we didn t want to go too low, just low enough to make sure we got a bunch of sales for it quickly while also earning a decent ROI on it for time spent on the project. Rather than just do a time limited offer and then closing it down we kept it more evergreen with a staggered price increase. We starting at just $17 for access and it sold pretty well to the tune of 367 units at $17 in just 7 days. BUT rather than close the deal we just put the price up to $19.95 on Aug 8th which resulted in doubling up our sales to the 700+ range by Aug 12th. (Less than 5 days later) If we d of just closed up the offer we would have lost a ton of sales on this (remember that tip with your own deals) It also become the 4th best selling product on the JVZoo network in 7 days out of over 40,000+ products listed there at the time.

7 We then eventually put the price up to $27 on the deal and it s brought in another couple of hundred sales since at that price. Plus we ve had lots of sales for this on the Udemy network as well. So we were able to achieve multiple goals with this one and Easy Deal Builder really helped make it easy to do. To show you just HOW EASY it was to set this whole deal up with Easy Deal Builder we ve taken a couple of screen grabs of the steps below. These are taken from our own version of Easy Deal Builder that we use to run our own deals. We should add that in case you re wondering, it s installed on your server, you then get an admin login panel to set up, edit and manage all your deals quickly and easily. Step 1 : we set up the basics such as the text to put the button, color & directory image to use, tracking code (optional), footer HTML with legal stuff, exit pop (recommended to use) and a few other settings.

8 Step 2 is basically just for search engines and is pretty self-explanatory

9 Step 3 we could choose to use an image or a video to go on the right side we used a sales video hosted on YouTube so all we had to do was copy paste the code in the field. We set it to auto play and add a header image. Step 4 is the meat and potatoes of the offer, this is where we set up the buy button and pay link really easy here as all you do is copy paste the payment code in the field, fill in a few more fields for price and other options and you re almost done. We set up the tabs to show what the course was about and it lets you use just 1 tab or 5 tabs if you want so you could have one for features, one for benefits, one for reviews/testimonials, one for bonuses or extras included etc. (you get the idea I hope) Now the really cool thing with Easy Deal Builder is you can set your deals to END by quantity (sell 100 then it is over) or a date/time (deal ends on Dec 31st, 2013) or as evergreen (by IP).

10 We started this off using the date/time but eventually moved on to the evergreen timer to keep the deal open ended but still create urgency as when someone hits the page it looks like it ends on a certain date/time. As you can see it s so easy to set up deals a child could do it. The final step is Step 5 where you set up access and even use the pre done ads.

11 We used the Custom Page URL as the thank you page link in for delivery to your customers.

12 Once you ve saved your deal you can preview it and get all the details for it like this on one easy to use page like this. As you can see it gives you the deal URL to promote as well as the narrow deal URL to use on Facebook and mobile. There s even a WordPress iframe code to copy paste into your WP blog pages so you can run a deal on your blogs too.

13 You can even export you deal and let a JV partner run it for you on their Easy Deal Builder powered site. If you have more than one deal set up you can easily see full stats for every deal on the main dashboard. You can see visitors, sales, conversions, directory and other details all at a click of the mouse away. You can also edit or deactivate any deal any time with just a few clicks.
