15 Order Inventory Once you have found your supplier, and arranged with them for your initial branding of the product, it is time to order your initial inventory order and get it shipped directly to Amazon. 1. Order samples before they start production you want to make sure the product is what you think it is 2. Start with basic branding only (wait until it proves to be a good seller) 3. 17 Step 1: Get The Word Out While Waiting For Your Inventory Once you place your order, it could take a few weeks to get it manufactured and then shipped to Amazon do NOT waste this time doing nothing! Use this time to start getting the word out about your new product that is coming and get your assets in place that you will use to promote your product(s) when it gets in stock on Amazon.

18 Step 1: Get The Word Out Cont d 1. Create a basic brand website. Have an explanation of your company, brand, product and a contact page. (wix.com is a good free option) 2. Create and publish a press release that announces the launching of your new brand that links to your website. 3. 21 Step 2: Get Reviews Cont d 5. Start with family and friends. Send them your product and ask them to leave a review on amazon. 6. Contact friends on Facebook and tell them what you are doing, why you need reviews and ask if they would help. Then send them the product.

22 Step 2: Get Reviews Cont d 7. Search for product review blogs. Filter through the results for bloggers that match your market and contact them about doing a review. This can get you both a review on their blog PLUS on your listing.

23 Step 3: Start the ASA Engine Amazon has a in-house sponsored ads system, that is INCREDIBLY effective and will help you not only get targeted traffic immediately to your listing PLUS powerful data to help you optimize your listing. 1. Once you have at least 3 reviews (10+ is better), create an auto-targeting sponsored ads campaign in your seller central account.

24 Step 3: Start the ASA Engine Cont d 1. Set the campaign to a budget that you can afford, and let it run for two weeks ($10 to $20 a day is more then enough to start with). 2. Watch it daily and monitor your budget and spending to ensure you are getting as much activity as possible (you want as much data as possible for step 7)

25 Step 4: Sales VELOCITY Push Part 1 During the 2 weeks while you are waiting for the sponsored ads to run and collect data, you will want to start do additional promotion to get the sales ramping up. 1. Create a temporary sales price for your product.

Link directly to amazon listing and your website. 3. Create an article on your website that announces the release and limited time sales price on your product. 4. Create and publish a second press release that focuses on the limited time sales price on your product and link to your product and webpage you created in previous step.

27 Step 4: Sales VELOCITY Push Part 1 Cont d 5. Update all your social media sites with content about the launch and sale of your product. Also promote your press releases on your social sites. 6. Contact 10 to 20 product review bloggers and hire them to write posts on their blogs about your release of your new product and the special price break. TIP: For the bloggers that work out well, offer them a few free units they can offer to their readers as a special prize or gift it goes a long way :) REMEMBER: This is to just get the traffic to your listing ramping up. In the next step you will optimize your listing and then after that, ramp up the promotions even more!

28 Step 5: Optimize Your Listing After allowing your Auto-Targeting campaign to run for two weeks, you will now be able to export a list of data from Amazon that will tell you exactly what keywords you need to optimize your listing for. 1. Stop your sponsored ad campaign 2. Export the keyword report and find the terms that have the best balance of traffic & conversions (yes this report will tell you that).

29 Step 5: Optimize Your Listing Cont d 3. Take the top 3 keyword phrases and update your listing to ensure it is optimized for those keywords. 4. Take all the profitable keywords and create manual sponsored ad campaigns

30 Step 6: Sales VELOCITY Push Part 2 Now that your listing is optimized for the best words possible, and you have targeted sponsored ad campaigns created, you now are going to want to start throwing as much traffic to your product listing as possible. 1. Content Marketing - People will search the internet for information about your market, product and company fill the internet with as much good info as possible (article, videos, press releases) that leads them to your listing. 2. Social Media - Update your social media sites often with information that your target market is interested in and then offer your followers and readers special coupon promotions.

31 Step 6: Sales VELOCITY Push Part 2 Cont d 3. Paid Advertising Channels - Facebook Ads are EXTREMELY effective for most product types. 4. Deal Sites - Leverage resources that focus on offering its users deals. You can list your product on these sites and it can result in a huge burst of sales (use caution). 5. Any strategy that will send traffic to your listing (the options here are truly endless).
