Squad Col Gray HEAD HONCHO / BRAND DESIGNER Stewart Mcewan GRAPHIC DESIGNER With 20 years of brand and graphic design experience under his signature baseball cap, it s safe to say Col really knows his stuff. He has a passion for branding that s as big as his beard! Col takes mediocre personal and business brand identities and makes them epic with awesome logos and on-point marketing materials he creates brands that people remember. Whether teaching workshops or speaking at events, Col teaches people how to rock their brands and embrace their brand superpowers. Which is why from time to time he can be seen on stage in a superman outfit (no joke!). He is also a big comic book nerd and tech fanatic! Stewart is a passionate, curious and driven designer who loves to create beautiful identities which are true to their brand and resonate with customers. Having worked with a wide range of clients from start-up businesses to international PLC s, Stewart has continued to refine his skills in designing creative and meaningful brand identities. GILLIES & MACKAY >> One of our biggest brand success stories was for timber building manufacturer Gillies & Mackay. Managing Director, Cara Mackay approached Pixels Ink with the task of re-branding her family business. There was a huge gap in the business where their brand identity didn't match up the very high quality of their products. After a full brand audit of existing materials, target audience and competitors we were able to create something more fitting of the brand. We created a brand that spoke of heritage, quality and craftsmanship. 7 VOLUNTEER DUNDEE >> As an organisation that helped improve people's outlook and prospects through volunteering, Volunteer Dundee needed a brand identity that was modern, clean and had links to Dundee. We created a brand identity that was bright, versatile and elements that related to the make-up of Dundee, it's people and environment. Along with the standard branding elements we also created a full iconography set for a visual language that is used on both print and digital media. - FIN & CO >> Fin & Co has a reputation for fantastic service and welcoming, friendly atmosphere, but the branding did not reflect this. When salon owner Pamela Laird asked us to create a brand identity for her business we jumped at the chance. We knew that we had to develop not only something that was vibrant, but that also stood out in a crowded industry. 8 Project Stages BELOW IS A BREAKDOWN OF THE STAGES THAT MAKE UP OUR LOGO DESIGN PROCESS. On average, a logo design project takes 6-8 weeks. This can be longer if there is the addition of a brand workshop and brand book. Time scale is also dependent on agreed milestones in the project being met by both parties. BRAND STRATEGY SESSIONS RESEARCH INDUSTRY & COMPETITION CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT STAGE 1 >> STAGE 2 >> STAGE 3 STRATEGY & RESEARCH >> CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT >> In this part of the brand design process we look at your brand's core values, vision and mission statements. We will also cover your target audience, competitors and industry sector. All of the information gathering we do at this stage will be crucial when it comes to rest of the brand identity design process. We take all of the information we have learned from the discovery sessions and get down to the job of creating logo design concepts. These help to both rule out paths of design and also solidify ideas that are worth exploring visually as a potential logo design. There will be constant contact with you during this process with the possibility of a few rounds of revisions to tweak the concept designs. 8 LOGO DESIGN 8 COMPANY PROPOSAL

9 BRAND VALUES Core values communicate what you believe as a company and how you are working toward your brand vision. This is your companies WHY. BRAND VISION A brand vision is a statement about the future your brand. A goal that you may never reach but makes a statement about your passions. BRAND MISSION A statement outlining what your company does, who it serves and the outcomes that it wants to achieve. CREATE LOGO DESIGN LOGO GUIDELINES / BRAND BOOK CREATION OF BRAND ASSETS STAGE 4 >> STAGE 5 >> STAGE 6 LOGO DESIGN & GUIDELINES >> BRAND ASSETS >> Once the concept is agreed, we will then move on to creating the logo design with finalised colour palette and typography. It is important that your logo is displayed in a consistent manner across all mediums. We will provide you with a logo guidelines document that details information on colour, fonts, sizes & spacing. You can also choose to have us create a brand book showing examples of branded marketing materials e.g. leaflets, adverts, posters, social graphics etc. You will receive copies of your logo in all of the major file formats and a selection of sizes. Depending on what has been agreed, we will also create artwork for stationery, brand marketing materials and resources. This may include artwork templates that you can use to create future materials yourself. We will also assign copyright of the logo over to you upon final payment. COMPANY PROPOSAL 9 9

10 Design Fees LOGO DESIGN The list below has been developed over a number of years to include everything that we believe comes together to create a successful logo design. It is a combination of the research and quantifying your core brand values that make a successful logo design. Video session to discuss your brand's values, mission, goals & positioning* Research into your industry sector, competitors & target audience Concept designs exploring logo solutions Professionally crafted logo design Pantone, CMYK, RGB & HEX colour specifications Logo files supplied in vector & raster formats Logo guidelines manual** Branding session to kick-start your brand promotion Copyright assignment of the logo to you * If you are based within 30 miles of our location the session can be carried out in person. ** The logo guidelines manual includes colour palette, typography and instructions on how your logo should be displayed. Investment Fee 3980+VAT Payment Information We require a non-refundable 50% deposit for any work to begin with the final balance payment due upon completion of the project. Your logo and other artwork files along with copyright assignment will be supplied after the final payment. If the project includes printing of materials, these will be sent to print once the the balance and print fees have been paid. 11 Design Fees BRAND BOOK This is an expanded version of the logo guidelines which are included as part of our logo design service. The Brand Book gives a full visual rendering of how your brand should be presented across a variety of mediums. The Brand Book includes:* Overview of your brand s vision, personality and key values Brand positioning statement Image style/photography stock images x4 Business card and letterhead design + print ready artwork Social media graphics x4 (for the platform of your choice) Brochure Layout - Cover & 2 page spreads Flyer layout example Website home page design Signage examples x2 Advertising examples x2 Merchandising applications x2 Exhibition display examples x2 Investment Fee 1980+VAT* * If you require more examples than stated in the list or need us to provide fully editable templates we will be happy to discuss your requirements and provide an updated investment fee. 11

This is a small sample of the most common items that are required after a business has gone through the logo design process. If there is something you would like that is not on this list, please let us know and we can provide you with a quotation for that service. 13 Brand Workshop BRAND STRATEGY WORKSHOP Re-branding or refreshing your brand is a prime opportunity to take a fresh look at your strategic elements. Compared to things like your logo or branding materials, your brand strategy is vital to how your organisation can grow and controls how it is perceived. It challenges you to go deep into yourself and your organisation. During the brand workshop you will be asked some tough questions that all need very clear answers. There are 3 core areas: KNOWING WHY YOU ARE DOING WHAT YOU DO; YOUR PURPOSE AND VALUES. CREATING AN EMOTIONAL CONNECTION WITH YOUR AUDIENCE; YOUR BRAND POSITIONING. BEING CONSISTENT IN YOUR MESSAGING, TONE AND VISUALS; YOUR BRAND IDENTITY. In order to do the 3 things above, you'll need to have a very good understanding of your target customer, your competition, and your unique selling point (USP). These are all areas that we explore during the brand strategy workshop. During this full day workshop, together we will discuss, re-evaluate and clarify your: BRAND PURPOSE BRAND VISION BRAND MISSION BRAND VALUES BRAND PERSONALITY TARGET AUDIENCE POSITIONING STATEMENT REVIEW EXISTING BRANDING MATERIALS With full clarity on your brand and your positioning comes increased confidence and the ability to truly rock your brand.
