Interviews will take place as needed during the year. 2 Qualifications and Description of the Marketing Team Position POSITION DESCRIPTIONS The Marketing Directors and members of the Marketing Team work closely together to excite and motivate BYU students to participate in meaningful service opportunities. Broad duties are listed below for all positions. Marketing Team Members- Team members support 250+ program directors and consult them in advertising and marketing techniques for their programs. Team members specialize in a specific area (advertising, events, social media, etc.) but come together to plan and coordinate outlined events and train Program Directors. Team members must be capable of leading, recruiting, motivating, directing, and inspiring students to serve. They must do these things while abiding by and supporting the policies and procedures of Brigham Young University and the Center for Service and Learning. The time commitment expected for Team members is approximately 3-5 hours per week. Additional responsibilities include training executive and program directors, planning events, participating in training during spring and summer terms, attending stewardships with respective director, and setting a positive example through consistent office hours and prompt communication. Advertising creation and distribution of creative advertisements, campaign strategization, and marketing resource management. Athletics works with athletic departments to promote Y-Serve through sporting events, athletics, etc. Events takes the lead in preparing for marketing events by coordinating with the Y-Serve office and the other marketing programs to ensure events are well-planned for and executed. External Marketing coordinates marketing with on-campus student organizations, wards and stakes, community partners and events, and BYU faculty and staff. Internal Marketing coordinates with Y-Serve programs to assist with their individual marketing needs, gathers and analyzes marketing efforts through ethnographics, surveys, and other tools. Submits a portfolio once a semester. Social Media manages Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, & other relations with media on campus. Visual Media film and photograph Y-Sere happenings and coordinate efforts with the videographer and photographer.

3 QUALIFICATIONS 1. Enrollment: Every applicant must be a continuing student (enrolled as a full-time student Fall/Winter) at the time of application and during their time as a Marketing Team Member. 2. Honor Code Standards: All applicants must be cleared through an honor code background check and commit to support and uphold the University s Honor Code and Dress and Grooming Standards. 3. Academic Standards: Applicants must have and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher 4. Others: a. Team members must be in good physical and emotional health and good honor code standing. b. Team members must have prayerfully and carefully considered this commitment. Ultimately, Heavenly Father knows who needs this opportunity, and how they will change and help others to change through this experience. RESPONSIBILITIES -Time commitment of 3-5 hours per week with at least 1 hour in the Y-Serve Office -Attend Team Meeting weekly (Mtg. time will be determined by Marketing Director. Please plan class schedule so that you can be at each weekly meeting.) -Plan and attend Y-Serve and Marketing Team events -Participate in regular monthly stewardships, reflections and performance evaluations with Committee Members and attend at least one service activity per month -Respond promptly to all communications - within 24hrs
