1 EHS Assist/HP Assist: Topic: View Add Edit Remove Transfer Reports for Chemical Inventory View Chemical Inventory Inventory Icon: Open the inventory icon from the main EHSA page:

2 Click the View/Add/Edit/Remove Chemical link: View Inventory: The labs current inventory is visible from this page. The data can be sorted by clicking on the field you would like to sort.

3 View Inventory continued: At any point you can choose to export your inventory to PDF or Excel: View Inventory continued: To change your inventory view, open the Inventory drop-down menu and choose from the available list of options:

4 View Appendix A Inventory: To view the labs list of Appendix A (DHS Chemicals of Interest) inventory, choose Appendix A from the drop-down menu:

5 Add Inventory: To add a new chemical item, click the Add button at the top of the Chemical Inventory page:

6 Add Inventory continued: The next screen brings up a Chemical Description search. In this search filed you are searching the chemical catalog that is maintained by EHS. You can search by Chemical description or by CAS#. This each is useful if the chemical you are adding is common.

7 Add Inventory continued: Once you have located the chemical you would like to add, click the Select button on the left.

8 Add Inventory continued: You will now see the Add Chemical Inventory screen where the information about the chemical can be edited, example quantity and amount.

9 Add Inventory continued: If the chemical item you are adding is not common. Click the Not Found in Catalog button at the top of the screen:

10 Add Inventory continued: From this screen you can free type the Chemical Description in the field provided. Some of the chemical information on this screen is required and is indicated by the * next to the field.

11 Edit Inventory: To Edit a chemical double-click anywhere on the chemical row (highlighted in blue) or click the Edit button on the top of the screen.

12 Edit Inventory continued: This will open the Edit Chemical Inventory screen. From here you can edit the information about the chemical item, example quantity and amounts:

13 Edit Inventory continued: The # of containers can be edited from the main chemical inventory screen. Click in the field and edit the Chemical Inventory screen. This is the only field that can be edited from this screen. The changes you make to this screen are automatically saved.

14 Remove Inventory: To remove a chemical item from inventory, click the Remove button located at the top of the screen.

15 Remove Inventory continued: You need to confirm the removal of the chemical you have selected. Select the reason for removal. Once complete click Remove : If you need to remove multiple chemicals from your inventory, check each item you would like to remove. Once complete click Remove :

16 Remove Inventory continued: If you choose Select All, this will check all chemical in your inventory and highlight them for removal.

17 Accidental Removal and Retrieval of Inventory: If you have accidently removed a chemical it can be put back into inventory from the main Chemical Inventory screen. From the dropdown menu choose Disposed Inventory :

18 Accidental Removal and Retrieval of Inventory: To add the item back to your existing inventory, click the Activate button at the top of the page: You will then be prompted to confirm your reactivation of the chemical:

19 Transfer Chemicals to another location: To transfer a chemical or all chemicals to another location, click the Transfer button at the top of the page: Transfer Chemicals to another location continued: Only locations listed on your permit are available for transfer. (If you have added a new lab or changed buildings, exit to the EHSA main screen and open the Add/Remove Lab icon. From the Add/Remove Lab screen you will be guided on how to add a new location to your permit.)

20 Transfer Chemicals to another location continued: Choose the location you want then click the Transfer button to move the item.

21 Transfer Chemicals to another location continued: If you prefer to transfer all of the labs inventory to another location click the Transfer All to move the inventory to another location.

22 Chemical Inventory Reports: Chemical inventory reports can be viewed from the Chemical Inventory Reports menu. The names and types of reports may change with time.
