More on Leaderboards Razoo will also provide #GivingTuesday Leaderboards one for small and one for large nonprofits. KNN Leaderboards will count donations from 12:00am EST on November 3 through 11:59pm EST on December 1, KNN members MAY receive prizes on both the overall and health related (for those eligible) leaderboards. Razoo leaderboards will count donations from November 1 through 11:59pm PST (3:00am EST) on December 1, Nonprofits are limited to one prize on a Razoo leaderboard. Organizations ARE eligible to receive prizes from both KNN leaderboards and one Razoo leaderboard. 6

7 3 Golden Ticket/Power Hours $1000 awarded to the organization raising the most dollars in this timeframe based on their budget size: Small nonprofit ($250,000 or less annual operating budget) Large nonprofit ($250,000 or more annual operating budget) Morning Power Hour: 10:00-11:00am EST Happy Hour: 4:00-5:00pm EST Night Owls: 9:00-10:00pm EST 7 Golden Tickets/Prizes for Most Unique Donors $250 awarded to the organization with the most number of unique donors during the following windows: 6:00-7:00am EST 8:00-9:00am EST 12:00-1:00pm EST 2:00-3:00pm EST 6:00-7:00pm EST 8:00-9:00pm EST 11:00pm-12:00am EST More on the Golden Tickets All prize windows are based on Eastern Standard Time (however, note the 2:00-3:00am EST Razoo Golden Ticket). Nonprofits are limited to one golden ticket prize from either the KNN or Razoo prize pool, but are eligible for a Golden Ticket prize and Leaderboard prizes. A unique donor is defined as a single individual or entity making a donation via the kygives.org website and is identified via a unique address. For purposes of awarding prizes, multiple donations from one donor to the same nonprofit will count as one gift (and thus he/she/it will count as one unique donor). 7

Right Now, You Should: Secure a matching gift (optional, but encouraged). If you have a match, don t forget to set this up on your Razoo profile and use it to motivate donors to increase the impact of their gifts. Promote the event by adding the KY Gives logo to your website, social media, newsletters and signature lines and hyperlinked it with the unique Razoo URL for your profile. Create an army of fundraisers to include board members, volunteers, donors and other stakeholders. You can provide these fundraisers with the tools to send s and spread the word via social media on your behalf. See KNN s and social media examples for your fundraisers. Right Now, You Should: Create and send pre-event reminders to supporters, asking them to spread the word throughout their circles of influence. Consider building on the concept of #GivingTuesday (Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday and then a day for giving back #GivingTuesday). 10

11 Right Now, You Should: Create and share pre-event social media posts consider doing a countdown on Facebook and Twitter by posting a new image each day. Link to your unique Razoo URL. Create shareable content and encourage your fans to share. Create and pre-schedule social media posts, starting on Thanksgiving and leading up until #GivingTuesday. Use Buffer or Hootsuite or Facebook s scheduling feature so your nonprofit is still communicating while you are eating turkey and doing your holiday shopping. ASAP, You Should: Start on your plans for just after KY Gives on December 2. Announce your successes on Facebook/Twitter/website: Matching grants met Awards won Number of donors Money raised ASAP, You Should: Prepare for thank you s/acknowledgements s to donors immediately upon receipt from Razoo AND at least 1-2 days after the event to tell them how their donation will be put to good work and make a difference. Don t forget to provide updates about your nonprofit and make it easy for them to stay in touch. Physical thank-you notes to all donors within 2-4 days. (Remember, these aren t receipts they are thank you notes. Razoo will receipt the donations.) 11

12 ASAP, You Should: Start on your plans for just after KY Gives on December 2. Plan to add all donors to your database, invite them to cultivation events and/or one-onone meeting. Connect with matching gift donors. On KY Gives Day, 12/1 Day of social media posts at least 2-3 social media posts throughout the day. Don t just ask for money, but stir up excitement by pointing out why your nonprofit is worth investing in on KY Gives and sharing content that it s easy for your organization s friends to share to help spread the word. Consider: Thanking your donors publicly via social media Post fundraising progress updates Generate and maintain dialogue by asking questions to generate conversation and community Post pictures/videos about your organization On KY Gives Day, 12/1 Day of s send at least three timely s throughout the day. Include specific actions of what they can do, (ex: donate now, like your nonprofit page on Facebook, tell 5 friends to donate, tweet a link to our nonprofit page, etc.). Step by step instructions on how to give (use your direct UR) Update them on fundraising progress and your overall goal. Ask them to help you reach your goal - take them from donor to fundraiser with specific requests (share this , five friends/family, etc.) Provide a reason for them to give again, like the challenge grant, prizes, or golden ticket awards Let them know if any prizes have been won 12

13 After KY Gives: Fill out survey KNN will send you about your experience and success during the event. Make sure to share final numbers in newsletter and other communications. Other Tips: Use bitly to shorten your links for twitter and track their performance in and on facebook. It s free! Use KNN s social media cover and profile art. 15 FAQs How do I track donations? You can track donations in real time on the back end of your page go to kygives.org and log in to access this. The log in button is in the top right. You ll also get an every time a donation is made. Can I access the resources? Visit kynonprofits.org/learn/kygives FAQs When will we receive our checks? Razoo will mail checks in January. If you would like receive your funds/donations in 2015, you must sign up for EFT by 11/30/15. You can access this on your razoo page. Contact Razoo with any questions. What s next?
