1 Octopus O! epay User Guide 1. Introduction Octopus O! epay ( O! epay ) is a network-based stored value and payment service operated and managed by us, Octopus Cards Limited that enables an O! epay account holder to perform Person-to-Person (P2P) payment with other O! epay account holders, online payment, fund transfer between his/her bank account and O! epay account or fund transfer between his/her O! epay account and registered Octopus cards or products anytime and anywhere via the Octopus App installed on mobile devices. 2. Eligibility To use O! epay, you need to apply for an O! epay account ( O! epay Account ). To do so, you have to be: 12 years old or above for O! epay Lite; If you want to upgrade your O! epay Lite account: For O! epay Plus, you have to be 18 years old or above with a valid HKID or Passport*; or For O! epay Pro, you have to be 18 years old or above with a valid HKID or Passport*, and o a deposit account holder of Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) (SCB), or o an Octopus Automatic Add Value Service ( AAVS ) user #, or o a Personalised Octopus holder You can only register for ONE O! epay account at any one time. * Passport must have at least six months of validity at the time of registration/upgrade. # Applicable for AAVS linked with designated financial institutions. 3. Octopus App To use O! epay service, you need to download the free Octopus App from Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Octopus App currently supports the following mobile device operating systems: Apple ios version 9.0 or above; or Android operating system 4.0 or above 4. Application You can apply for your O! epay account via the following channels: (i) Submit via the Octopus App for O! epay Lite; or (ii) Through our Authorised Partners for O! epay Pro 1

After submitting your application via the Authorised Partners, please download the Octopus App and login with your mobile number to complete the application. Under normal circumstance, it takes around 3 working days for us to process your upgrade request upon receipt of all the required information and documents Account Upgrade to O! epay Plus After you have registered for an O! epay Lite account, you can upgrade to an O! epay Plus through your Octopus App. Simply follow the instruction to provide the required information and copy of your HKID/Passport* Account Upgrade from O! epay Lite to O! epay Pro If you are an AAVS user # or a Personalised Octopus holder, you can upgrade to be an O! epay Pro user through your Octopus App. Simply follow the instruction to provide your required information and HKID/Passport* copy, address(es) and copy(ies) of the proof of address(es). # Applicable for AAVS linked with designated financial institutions Account Upgrade from O! epay Plus to O! epay Pro If you are an AAVS user or a Personalised Octopus, you can upgrade to an O! epay Pro through your Octopus App. Simply follow the instruction to provide your address(es) and copy(ies) of the proof of address(es). * Passport must have at least six months of validity at the time of registration/upgrade. 5. Using the O! epay 5.1. P2P Payment You can perform P2P payment with your friends who are also holders of O! epay account by adding them or accepting their requests to add them as your Friend(s) on your O! epay account Fund Transfer between O! epay Account and Registered Octopus You can make fund transfer between your O! epay account and your registered Octopus including Octopus Mobile SIM ( Registered Octopus ) via NFC (Near Field Communication) enabled Android mobile devices or ios mobile devices paired up with Octopus Mobile Reader by completing a one-time registration of your selected Octopus. Please note that you can only register an Octopus with a 9-digit number (eight digits plus one bracketed digit) as Registered Octopus Add Value to an O! epay Account via Standard Chartered Bank 2

3 If you are a bank account holder of SCB, you can add value to your O! epay account through Octopus App or e-banking and mobile banking system of SCB Add Value to an O! epay Account by Cash You can add value to your O! epay account through designated merchants by presenting the QR code in your Octopus App and paying in cash Fund Transfer with Bank Service You can make fund transfer between your bank account and O! epay account by setting up a direct debit authorization through the Octopus App. The service is eligible for all O! epay Plus and O! epay Pro Accounts Online Payment You can make online purchase and donation ( Online Payment ) with your O! epay account for settling the payment to online merchants or service providers. 6. Managing your O! epay Account 6.1. Transaction Record You can review your O! epay transaction records for the past 90 days and up to past 12 months monthly statements on your O! epay account Forget Password Click the Forgotten? button on your Octopus App and input the registered mobile number. You will receive a confirmation at your registered account. Simply follow the instruction to reset the password Change of Personal Information For any change of personal information, please contact our Octopus Customer Service Hotline at Device Management You can connect up to 2 mobile devices to access your O! epay account, but you can only log in to your O! epay account on one device at any one time. If you have lost your mobile device or it malfunctions, you can log in to your O! epay account using another device, and disconnect access to the lost/malfunctioned device through Info and Settings on your O! epay account Account Cancellation If you wish to cancel your O! epay account, please call our Octopus Customer Service Hotline at We will arrange refund of your account balance. 3

Annual Transaction Limit Annual transaction limit is the maximum aggregated total of the following transactions in a membership year: P2P payment (to your O! epay account) Top up by cash Fund transfer from Registered Octopus Fund transfer from bank 4
