2 Acusera 24.7 Live Online Interactive Dem Guide Overview Yur Acusera 24.7 Live Online dem accunt has been ppulated with data and has been designed fr yu t use t demnstrate the capabilities f the sftware t custmers. The reprting features wrk in the same way as a custmer accunt. Hwever, the accunt cnfiguratin cannt be altered and results cannt be added r deleted. The dem allws yu t: Prduce charts and reprts and shwcase their interactive nature Highlight errant results n the dashbard Accessing the dem accunt The sftware will run n Chrme, Firefx, Safari, IE 9/10/11 and Micrsft Edge (earlier versins f Internet Explrer are nt suitable). Visit randxqcv2-dem.azurewebsites.net and enter the lg in details prvided in yur activatin e- mail. Nte that placing www. in frnt f the address will prevent access. Yu will be able t change yur passwrd by clicking n yur name at the tp right hand side f the screen. Passwrds must be at least 6 characters in length and shuld cntain the fllwing: - At least ne uppercase character - At least ne lwercase character - At least ne number - At least ne nn-alphanumeric character On lgging in fr the first time, yu will be presented with the EULA (End User Licence Agreement), which yu will need t accept befre yu can cntinue. Accunt set-up Yur accunt has been set up with a number f basic chemistry and immunassay QC tests. Chemistries are run n Rche Cbas 6000 systems and immunassays n Abbtt Architects. The accunt has been set up with 2 f each instrument type t enable instrument cmparisns t be made n the interactive charts. Details f the accunt are as fllws: Immunassay: 2 x Abbtt Architect, named Architect 1 & Architect 2 6 QC tests set up n each with serum lts 1476EC, 1477EC & 1508EC Clinical Chemistry: 2 x Rche Cbas 6000, named Cbas 1 & Cbas 2 9 QC tests set up n each with serum lts 1039UN & 797UE

3 QC data included QC results have been entered using EDI. New results will be regularly upladed by Randx HQ, ensuring that there is always recent data in the dem accunt. Yur accunt has been ppulated with a mixture f gd data and errneus data. Errrs have been included s that yu can demnstrate the clur cded alarm flags and shw hw the interactive charts can be used t help trublesht issues. Errneus results have been included fr the final 2 weeks within the data fr the fllwing tests: Rche Cbas 2: Sdium, Ptassium & Chlride results are reprting >3SD abve and belw the mean this is suggestive f a failed ISE mdule CK a decimal place has been mitted; results appear t be x10 r x100 greater Urea the user has switched the lts arund Abbtt Architect 2: Ttal T4 incrrect units used (values are in ng/ml instead f nml/l) TSH SD is 3 times higher than expected; this culd reflect imprper sample preparatin r a wrn ut lamp / detectr Vitamin D the decimal pint is in the wrng place In additin t the abve errant results, Randx HQ will enter errneus data fr T4 n Architect 2 n a weekly basis. This ensures that as the EDI upladed data ages, yu will always be able t view infrmatin in the Dashbard alerts. It is therefre advisable that yu DO NOT shw a Levey Jennings chart fr T4. Cnducting a custmer dem When demnstrating the 24.7 sftware t custmers, yu shuld cncentrate n the features that can significantly aide QC management within the lab fcus n the interactive charts (Levey Jennings charts, Histgrams and Perfrmance Summary Charts), the Dashbard and the ther available reprts. Dashbard: Access the Dashbard frm the Utilities menu Explain the functin f the Dashbard i.e. it will display any alerted r rejected results frm the previus 7 days and prvides immediate infrmatin n any ptential issues in the lab Result Histry: Click n the drpdwn beside any analyte and explain that targets, multi-rules etc. that have been cnfigured can be viewed here Select an analyte n Cbas 1 r Architect 1 (all analytes shw gd QC data) and click Next. Shw the raw results and the summary mnthly and cumulative statistics in the bx at the bttm f the screen

4 A cmment has been added against the alerted QC result fr CRP yu can demnstrate this by clicking n the drpdwn beside the result highlighted in range Explain the different ptins fr result entry and mentin that all results, irrespective f hw they were entered, will appear n this screen Levey Jennings charts: Access the LJ chart frm the Charts menu n the left hand side Select a test run n Cbas 1 r Architect 1 (which display gd data) and click Next Click Generate t view yur chart(s) Yu will see the charts fr each serum lt displayed individually Charts will initially display individual data pints; click n Means underneath a chart t display mean lines Hver yur muse ver any pint n the chart t display infrmatin n that pint Demnstrate the zm functin Demnstrate hw the chart can display SDIs r %Dev frm target Explain that yu can lk at a user-defined date range Explain hw t tailr the chart: Cmbined Lts click n the Cmbine slider abve the charts, fllwed by Generate and explain the benefits f viewing multiple levels n a single chart i.e. yu can easily identify if biases at ne cncentratin level als exist at ther levels Explain the legend & shw hw yu can turn data sets n and ff Multiple instruments use the back buttn t return t the main Charts menu, clear yur riginal data, and select ne assay n 2 different instruments pick frm the tests shwing gd perfrmance n bth CC r IA instruments. Generate yur chart as befre (yu may find it easier t turn ff sme f the data sets using the legend, s that yu are lking at ne lt). Explain why it is f benefit t add multiple instruments n t the chart i.e. if a lab has mre than ne instrument f the same type and patient samples can be randmly allcated t any instrument, the lab may be required t prve that patient diagnsis / treatment is nt ging t differ depending n which instrument their sample is laded n t. Multiple analytes select several analytes in the same way as yu did with multiple instruments. Explain why it is f benefit t add multiple analytes n the same chart i.e. if an issue exists with ne test, yu can see if it is replicated in thers; this can help shw whether an issue is due t the reagent, QC r instrument. By way f example, lk at Sdium n Cbas 2 yu will clearly see an issue. Nw add Ptassium and Chlride n the same chart yu will see that the same issues exists, demnstrating the failed ISE mdule. This is further evidenced by the fact that these 3 analytes perfrm well n Cbas 1 Histgrams: Access the Histgram frm the Charts menu Generate a chart fr a single analyte n Cbas 1 r Architect 1 in the same way as yu did fr the LJ chart Explain that the Histgram shws the frequency with which each SDI scre is attained Explain that yu expect t see a nrmal distributin i.e. mst results are clse t target, and there are decreasing numbers f utliers Hver yur muse ver part f the chart fr added infrmatin

5 Explain hw t tailr the chart (same functinality as Levey Jennings) add multiple analytes, instruments and levels and shw the legend. Explain that yu can adjust the date range Explain that this chart can easily shw any analytes that dn t fit the nrmal distributin pattern and that shuld be investigated. By way f example, add all analytes n Cbas 1 n t a chart yu will see that all tests are perfrming well, but there is a clear issue with CK Perfrmance Summary Chart: Access the Perfrmance Summary Chart frm the icn abve the Histgram Explain that this relates t the secnd main functin f Acusera 24.7 i.e. the peer grup cmparisn Shw the varius levels f peer grup available fr cmparisn and the ability t cmpare against cumulative r mnthly data Shw the lab s data and the peer grup data n the RHS f the screen and explain the significance f the SDI and CVI Explain that yu can view and adjust the level f peer cmparisn within the Cnfiguratin menu Peer Grup Statistics: Access the Peer Grup Statistics frm the Reprts menu Select ne f the lt numbers that have been used t ppulate the dem accunt Demnstrate hw t find peer grup statistics fr different dates, methds and instruments (nte that as yu select a mre specific peer grup, participant numbers will reduce) Explain the usefulness f the Peer Grup Statistics reprt i.e. peer grup means can be used as fixed means and labs have visibility f perfrmance f methds / systems ther than their wn (useful if they are planning n changing a methd / supplier) Statistical Analysis Reprt & Statistical Metrics Reprt: Access these reprts frm the Reprts menu Explain that yu will see cumulative data and data fr a user-defined date range and can see hw the infrmatin cmpares t peer data On the Metrics reprt, highlight the TE and the TEa. Shw the Sigma scres and highlight hw these can be used t shw at a glance assays that may need imprvement / mre stringent QC Shw hw t exprt the reprts t Excel r PDF Using the drpdwn at the tp f the screen, demnstrate hw yu can rder the reprt by assay r instrument Uncertainty f Measurement Reprt: Access this reprt frm the Reprts menu Explain that 24.7 autmatically calculates Um frm inter-assay precisin data derived frm the recrded QC results and frm intra-assay precisin data added by the user Highlight that the QC means are included, s that yu can easily see the cncentratins yu are reprting uncertainties at Use this pprtunity t discuss with yur custmer hw they currently calculate Um many will be ding it very manually, using spreadsheets

6 Exceptin Reprt: Access this reprt frm the Reprts menu Explain that this reprt prvides the % f results that lie within 2SDs, between 2-3 SDS and utside 3 SDs frm target Data Review Reprt: Access this reprt frm Utilities Discuss hw this reprt will display any rule vilatins and / r results with cmments attached fr a user-defined time perid. This reprt can be very useful fr an audit. Acusera Advisr: Access this functin frm the Utilities menu Explain the functin f Advisr it is an add-n that will recmmend and allw the autmatic applicatin f perfrmance rules based n the lab s perfrmance and will als recmmend QC frequency Select an analyte and shw the rule recmmendatins. Explain that yu have the ptin whether r nt t apply these rules Assay Details: Access the registered details frm the Cnfiguratin menu It is nt necessary during a custmer dem t shw the full functinality f accunt cnfiguratin, but it is useful t mentin this sectin because it is pssible t cnstruct a reprt cntaining all the registered details; this may be useful if e.g. an auditr wants t see detail f all the methdlgies / suppliers run in the lab Use the waffle t shw hw yu can view all the reagents supplied by a particular manufacturer and demnstrate hw this infrmatin can be exprted Other functins: It is prbably nt necessary t demnstrate the remainder f the functins f the sftware, but yu may wish t mentin the fllwing: Optins fr data entry Cnnect / EDI / manual. Explain that EDI is a simple, semiautmated means f imprting data withut full LIMS cnnectivity; when the EDI has been cnfigured and an external data file saved, imprting the data is as simple as attaching a file t an Multi-rules explain that yu can select frm 10 cmmnly used multi-rules, but that yu can als tailr yur wn multi-rules Users mentin that a custmised level f access can be set up fr each individual lab staff member Develpment f a single platfrm fr the lab s full QC needs: RIQAS Net site being redesigned and due t be incrprated at the end f 2017 Verify data reductin sftware functinal nw RQC tab this will tie in with QC value assignment and will allw a 24.7 user t autmatically ppulate fixed means frm Randx QC pack inserts and als t frmulate custmised pack inserts fr their analytes / instruments / methd
