2 Company History Who we are The Kan Kan Group is a family business started in 2005, by Beverley and Alistair Midgley-McDonald. The Kan Kan Group,is made up of Kan Kan Ltd the UK s largest all female driving school, Drive Dynamics Driving school and The BOM (Beauty on The Move) A mobile Beauty company. The Company currently has 450 Franchisees Nationally. Where it all began.. The couple already had their own small business which was called Glasstastique selling and specialising in Antique Glass, they used to sell at specialist Exhibitions and fairs. They moved to Yorkshire from Cardiff to be near to family. When the children moved schools they became friend s with a parent who suggested they start a driving school and Kan Kan was born! The business was started literally around their kitchen at home. The concept was to have a driving school for nervous women drivers. With one instructor in Halifax and an ambitious plan, the couple set about starting a driving school that was known for excellent training and development. Very quickly word got out that training was good at Kan Kan and trainees were passing their Part 3!, soon male instructors started to approach Kan Kan for training. Alistair decided that Drive Dynamics would accommodate male and female instructors, and the rest is history! The Company From humble beginnings around a kitchen table, to a garage and then to a small shop based in Drighlington, the Company now have moved to a larger more corporate facility with world class training facilities to accommodate the expansion.
