1 FESTIVAL OF GIVING EVENT OVERVIEW Friday, November 11, 2016 (10:00am 9:00 pm) Saturday, November 12, 2016 (10:00am 9:00pm) Sunday, November 13, 2016 (10:00am 6:00pm) What is Windward Mall s Festival of Giving? Festival of Giving gives local nonprofit organizations a chance to raise money. The event will include special store discounts, restaurant and eatery specials, door prizes and entertainment. Nonprofit groups sell tickets to this exclusive shopping event and keep all the funds generated by selling the $10 tickets. When is the event? Friday, November 11, 2016 through Sunday, November 13, 2016, during mall hours. How does my group raise money selling tickets and how do we benefit? There is no charge to any participating group to sell tickets. Your nonprofit group keeps all the money it receives from selling the tickets. You may raise additional monies if your organization chooses to man an entrance table on the day of the event. Groups manning entrance tables on event day are asked to perform additional duties, such as ticket stub collection and program distribution. However, your group will also be able to sell tickets to non-ticket holders as they arrive at the mall to shop. An easy sell! You must sign your group up now for one of the tables. Entrance tables are limited and groups will be selected in a drawing. Any unsold tickets can be returned to Windward Mall management office after the conclusion of Festival of Giving. There is no fee for unsold tickets. When will tickets go on sale? In order to pick up a supply of tickets, nonprofit groups must have their participation form returned to the Management Office as soon as possible. You may then pick up your tickets and a preliminary list of merchant discount offers from Windward Mall s management office beginning Wednesday, October 5, The mall management office is located on the Upper Level, next to Macy s. This gives you several weeks to sell your supply of tickets! What does the $10 ticket buy? The $10 will go directly to your local nonprofit group. The ticket will also give shoppers a wonderful event of discounted shopping, sampling, door prizes and terrific entertainment. PARTICIPATION FORM

You may request for more tickets once you have sold your 200 qty ticket supply. Organizations with a track record of ticket sales exceeding 200 may request more for their initial request. By committing to manning an entrance table, our group will assist with the collection of FOG ticket stubs from arriving shoppers, as well as with the distribution of event programs. Entrance tables will be assigned on a selected in a drawing, as entrance tables are limited. List your order of preference (1 4) for entrance table shifts. Entrance tables must be manned by at least two volunteers for the entire shift. 3 TICKET SALES GUIDELINES Festival of Giving tickets must be sold for $10. For each ticket sold, your organization keeps the entire $10. The more tickets you sell, the more you earn! The ticket price should never be discounted by anyone. If you need additional tickets, they may be ordered by calling x20. At the end of the event, please submit all recap forms. 4 QUESTIONS & ANSWERS Q. What is Festival of Giving? A. It is a shopping event for customers who have purchased a $10 ticket from a participating nonprofit organization. Special features include discounts and giveaways available only to Festival of Giving ticket holders. Last year over 50 nonprofit organizations participated and over $25,000 was raised. That s a tremendous achievement that our local organizations benefitted from and our shopper s enjoy (with thanks to our wonderful Windward Mall merchants!) Q. When is the event? A. Friday, November 11, 2016, 10:00am 9:00pm Saturday, November12, 2016, 10:00am 9:00 pm Sunday, November 13, 2016, 10:00am 6:00pm Q. How does my organization participate? A. Complete the enclosed participation form and return it as soon as possible. You will be able to pick up the number of tickets you request on the sign up form maximum allotment 200 tickets per request approximately Wednesday, October 5th. Once your organization has sold its 200 tickets, you will be allowed to pick up more. Organizations with a track record of ticket sales exceeding 200 may request more for their initial request. Tickets are available on a first come, first serve basis, while supplies last. Q. What is the cost to my organization? A. None. Windward Mall will provide you with the Festival of Giving tickets. All monies collected from your ticket sales are retained by your organization. Q. What else does my organization have to do? A. You will need to provide us with a report on how many tickets were sold during the selling period. These form is included in this packet and will need to be mailed or faxed back to our office following the event on Friday, November 18. The final report will help us critique and analyze the event to determine if it is one we will continue to do next year. Q. How do we receive more tickets? A. Simply call the mall office to arrange a pick up time that is convenient for you. Our number is or Kristin.Smith@am.jll.com. Q. What do we do with the money we collect? A. That is up to your organization. Your group keeps all the proceeds and can use it as you wish. All we ask is that you track your ticket sales and provide us with a record of how much money was generated for your organization by this event. Q. Who do we call if we have further questions? A.
