February 4-7, 2018 NCCEP/GEAR UP EXCEL PROVE MOBILIZE CAPACITY-BUILDING WORKSHOP SPONSOR/EXHIBITOR PROSPECTUS About the Capacity-Building Workshop Connect with GEAR UP The NCCEP/GEAR UP Capacity-Building Workshop (CBW) is a distinctly different learning opportunity from the NCCEP/ GEAR UP Annual Conference. At the CBW, grantees roll up their sleeves for three-days of in-depth training and peer interaction focused on advancing college and career readiness for all students. This upcoming Capacity-Building Workshop promises to match the enthusiasm and energy personified at last summer s conference. For us, the emphasis on Excel, Prove, Mobilize is much more than a workshop theme, as it crystalizes our national strategy for ensuring that GEAR UP can grow to meet the needs of more students, families, and communities. As such, this workshop will be organized around professional learning in the key areas of: EXCEL ensuring a mindset of continual improvement and equipping GEAR UP professionals with the skills necessary to consistently improve their programs. PROVE ensuring that GEAR UP programs and its staff have the appropriate infrastructure and capability to make informed decisions based on reliable information and, ultimately, to be able to demonstrate impact. MOBILIZE ensuring that our work both locally and nationally finds a collective voice to secure the long term sustainability and growth of GEAR UP and to continually recruit more individuals and partners to the movement. The Capacity-Building Workshop is coordinated by the National Council for Community and Education Partnerships (NCCEP), national association of the GEAR UP program. NCCEP offers you the opportunity to showcase your organization s products and services before approximately 1,300 GEAR UP college access professionals at the 2018 Capacity-Building Workshop. Previous CBW attendees have included GEAR UP directors, coordinators, grant managers, evaluators, middle/high school educators, postsecondary educators, and GEAR UP partners. Attendees come to get ideas and to access materials, products, and services they can use in their federally funded programs. They are also looking for partnering opportunities as well as cutting edge technologies in the areas of assessment, program data collection, reporting and evaluation, instructional technologies, and program management services. By sponsoring an event and exhibiting, you build the foundation for a long-term relationship with the GEAR UP community and with NCCEP. We invite you to explore one or both options as you consider the best way to engage with GEAR UP programs. We can also work with your business to create a custom package to showcase your company to attendees. OPTION 1: BECOME A SPONSOR! NCCEP has a limited number of Capacity-Building Workshop sponsorships available to help you meet your marketing and brand awareness goals with the GEAR UP community. With each of the sponsorships outlined below, you receive the following exposure: Your hyperlinked logo showcased on NCCEP s Capacity-Building Workshop website; Your company s logo included in two pre-event e-blasts; Your company s name highlighted as a sponsor in the Workshop program; and Other benefits that may be unique to the sponsor opportunity as outlined below. PREMIER WORKSHOP SPONSOR (3) $10,000 Your company will be recognized prominently during the breakfast and the opening interactive plenary, with your logo looping on the ballroom screen for all attendees to see. You will also have an opportunity for a company representative to provide welcoming remarks (3 minutes). This sponsorship includes an exhibit table and two meal tickets for the sponsored breakfast. SOCIAL MEDIA SPONSOR (1) $7,500 People love to watch the tweets on the Social Media Wall. We re providing the opportunity to one sponsor to brand the CBW Social Media Wall in the ballroom. The Wall will be live at meals throughout the 3-day event. An area of the Tweet Wall will feature your company logo. You are invited to place one insert in the CBW event pouch. CBW EVENT BAG SPONSOR (1) $5,000 Feature your company logo on the always popular CBW event pouch! All conference participants will receive this black and white pouch with event materials to carry throughout the 3-day event. You are invited to place one insert in the CBW event pouch. NETWORKING LUNCHEONS (2) $5,000 During the lunch, your logo will loop on the ballroom screen for all attendees to see. Your company will be recognized publicly during the networking lunch. CBW LANYARDS (1) $5,000 Every participant is required to wear a name badge, so sponsoring the lanyards is a great way to ensure your company name is seen by everyone. Help energize participants by sponsoring one of the raffle drawings held during each networking break. 4 EXHIBITOR INFORMATION EXHIBIT CORRIDOR The exhibit corridor is located in the Palace Tower (Promenade Level/3rd floor). Four networking breaks/raffles are scheduled within the corridor providing exhibitors ready access to attendees. In addition, exhibit tables are arranged to take advantage of attendee traffic to and from workshops, skill-building seminars, and meals. Book your rooms today! RULES OF EXHIBITING Exhibit Space Display and demonstration space includes 6 tabletop and the floor space behind the table. No solicitations, interviews and/or distribution of literature can be done outside the confines of the exhibitor s individual tabletop area. Hanging banners, signage, or three-dimensional objects will not be permitted. Audio presentations of speech or music are prohibited. Nothing shall be posted on, or tacked, nailed or screwed or otherwise attached to columns, walls, floors, furniture, or other parts of the building. NCCEP reserves the right to make changes or alter the exhibit floor plan at any time before the show or onsite. NCCEP will endeavor to give appropriate notice of changes to exhibitors whenever possible. NCCEP does not guarantee attendance at any of its programs or events, and is not responsible for the amount or quality of leads obtained by exhibitors at NCCEP conferences or events. No refunds will be issued to exhibitors expressing dissatisfaction with their success at the Workshop. Cancellations made on or before January 12, 2018 shall be refunded all sums, less a $100 cancellation fee. No refunds will be made for cancellations after January 12, INSURANCE AND LIABILITY Insurance, if desired by tabletop exhibitors, must be obtained at their own cost and expense. NCCEP and their agents and employees assume no risk, and by the acceptance of this agreement, the Exhibitor expressly releases them of and from any and all liability for any damage, injury or loss to any person or goods, from any cause whatsoever. All property shipped to and from the hotel by the exhibitor for display is the sole responsibility of the exhibitor. It is recommended that exhibitors obtain adequate insurance coverage, at their own expense, for property loss or damage and liability for personal injury.
