Short Profile of Pesona Dunia Tour Solo Pesona Dunia Tour is one of the travel agencies in Indonesia located at Jl. Ronggowarsito 82 Surakarta. The company was founded by Mr. Tan Henry in 7 th January, Pesona Dunia Tour is an integrated travel agency providing airline ticket reservation service, tour planning service, hotel reservation service, car rental and other needs of anyone in travelling. Supported by the fact that more and more people are traveling domestically and abroad, the company provides its customers with any level of travel services with online reservation system, anytime and anywhere. The online reservation services of providing many hotels worldwide and hotels in Indonesia, flight reservations for international and domestic tickets, tour planning and also car rental proof that its customers can book, pay, and get instant confirmations for their need accurately. During 14 years in the business, Pesona Dunia Tour has become the membership of National travel organization named ASITA. ASITA or Association of The Indonesian Tour and Travel Agencies is the only legally acknowledged non-profit alliance of Indonesian travel entrepreneurships which operates under the Law No. 9/ 1990 regarding Tourism, and which provides headship to the communal efforts of Indonesian travel agencies. The membership proofs that the company is a reliable travel agency in Indonesia. The company ensures to always give the best, the fastest and the most accurate services to its customers, anytime and anywhere. Pesona Dunia Tour Solo have a vision and mission to servicing customers. The company s vision is to be the biggest travel agency in Indonesia, and to be able to provide the fastest and the best professional services by the highest capability and credibility. And the company s mission is to provide the fastest services to customers in order to unsure customers satisfaction in both business and tour journeys and to build mutually profitable business for its networks and colleagues.

2 Management of Pesona Dunia Tour Solo a) Tan Henry as the Chairman & C.E.O As the founder of the company in 2002 and has been actively involved ever since, dealing with the company's development. The job duties involve: a) Managing the confidence of clients as well as handling management of the company s growth. b) Making decisions and policies of the company c) Evaluating the performance of the employee b) Trifena Tinawaty as the Operating & Financial Manager The job duties involve: a) Supervising the financial of the company such as paying for each invoice/bill from other companies, reminding customers in payment, reporting annual financial report to the C.E.O, etc. b) Handling all reservations of customers such as air ticket, hotel, train ticket, tour packages etc. c) Making contract with other companies such as travel agency, hotels, etc. d) Answering telephone calls and messages from customers Services of Pesona Dunia Tour Solo a) Airlines ticket reservation Pesona Dunia Tour provides airlines ticket reservation for both domestic and international airlines. The company has cooperated exclusively with many airlines, such as Garuda, Citilink, Lion Air, Batavia Air, Sriwijaya and so on, and international airlines such as, Malaysia Airline, Lufthansa, KLM, Royal Brunei, Singapore Airlines, Silk Air and so on. The company services both direct and indirect order of customers and facilitates customer in obtaining ticket with the lowest price and choosing seat, etc. In the

3 airlines ticket reservation, the company is supported by online reservation system which facilitates operator to service customers easily and quickly. Domestic Airlines: International Airlines: b) Hotel reservation Pesona Dunia Tour has cooperated with many hotels in Indonesia and aboard. The company facilitates customers in obtaining hotel room with a variety of hotel classes and facilities which are suitable with the customers needs. The hotel reservation service is also supported by online reservation system so that customers will be able to get their hotel room quickly and easily so they can continue to enjoy their journey without bothering reservation. c) Tour packages The company offers many kinds of tour packages for both domestic and international destinations. The company also provides extraordinary-study-tour packages for Primary School, Secondary School and University students. Besides, the company offers several high-attractive tour packages for those with low-budget and also provides

4 tour packages for travelling or business purposes to aboard for individual or group tour. The tour packages offered have included with accommodation, for example is the tour to Singapore Universal Studio which has included with air ticket and lodging. There are many international destinations which are offered such as Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Europe etc, and domestic destinations such as Bali, Bandung, Lombok, Bromo, Karimunjawa, and etc. The tour package service is one of the best services to customers in facilitating their business or travelling tours to be enjoyable. d) Car rental The company also provides car rental with duration per hour or per day. The company provides car, such as APV/Xenia/Avanza, Innova, Travello/Pregio, Elf, Elf Long which are ready to transfer customers to anywhere they want to go by dealing with the certain conditions. e) Train ticket reservation Pesona Dunia Tour has cooperated with PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) in online train ticket reservation system. The company ensures that customers will get train ticket as cheap and fast as possible without have to queue in station. Technology 1. Online reservation system Online reservation system is an internet-basis program which allow travel operator to easily reserve services such as booking ticket and hotel. Customers can get their reservation for all of their excursions in only three minutes service. In operating this system, the travel operators only need to log on hotels or airlines website as registered travel agency then creating booking and printing the evidence. Companies use online reservation system for access and collaboration with all relevant partners Vendor, such as airlines, there is a web created by airline for the tour and travel to place an order. 2. However, Pesona Dunia Tour has another way on marketing, branding and also communicating to customers, i.e.: by using social media. The using of social media is important to the company because it can allow the company in building customers trust. Social media has actually transformed the way travel agencies look at marketing, branding, and communicating to customers. As a result of the number of benefits that it has to offer, travel agents have actually begun to invest time in social media. Customers can access and search for information on all things related to travel, such as the latest promo airlines tickets and hotels through all the social media that has provided by the company. The following are the social media used by the company: 1. Facebook Facebook is one of the best places to start as a travel agent in social media. It has the maximum number of users and it is commonly used by people all around the world on a daily basis. Many travel agencies already use Facebook as their primary target market. Employees recruitment The company has plans to add new employees. So the company is able to provide more quickly services and better services than before. 3. Improving website performance Soon the company will make improvements in the company s web. The improvements will be done in terms of appearance, content, and also updates. The appearance will be made more attractive so that the customers will be interest to visit. The content of the web will be made simple and easy to read and understand by customers. Updates will also be carried out on all the things that have expired, so that customers can find the latest updates. 4.
