4 My Story What is a Power Partner? An Advocate for your business. Someone who offers a service or product that compliments yours. They refer, endorse, support, market, and close business for you. Who should be a Power Partner? A sales or marketing rep that calls upon the same referral sources as you do for business/professional referrals. Ex: If you sell Milk, you should create a PP with the Coffee distributor Where should you they be? Someone who covers the same or majority of the same territory. A good rule of thumb is 30 minute driving radius around your business. 4

5 When should you create a Power Partner? Immediately. This should be the first thing you strive to do when marketing your business. Why should you create a Power Partner? It s all about Duplication Duplication Having others who work for you without working for you. You have 5 Power Partners, you now have 6 people working for you daily! It s FUN to market together! What can they do? 1. Refer 2. Collaborate on events 3. Promote each other s events 4. Split advertising costs 5. Co-Market 5

Go to their business or find them at Networking Events Practice Active Listening Determine if it s a good match or fit Set up a follow up 1 on 1 meeting Explain your intentions at this meeting Discuss all things PP s do and why you chose to work with them Feel them out, determine the boundaries How do you create Power Partners? Invite them to your office to meet your staff Explain to your staff This is your PP and preferred provider of Make sure Boss knows who they are and your goals Schedule Co Marketing Days weekly Share contacts Make it known you are PP s Do this for 4 consecutive visits.
