1 Generation Technical Conference Rules and Regulations **Please read the below information thoroughly. By registering to exhibit at the Generation Technical Conference, you are agreeing to all of the rules and regulations below. ** Potential Audience Southern Company employees are the target audience for the 2018 Technical Conference. These employees include system owners from plants throughout the Southern Company territory, Corporate and Plant Management, and Buyers. The conference itself consists of sessions for each major system and/or technology during which beneficial information and best practices will be shared. The sessions are closed to vendors but the tradeshow offers great exposure to all of these individuals. Tradeshow Location The 2018 Technical Conference and Tradeshow is located at Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex in the East Exhibition Hall. Show Hours The show will be open to attendees from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 21, and Wednesday, August 22. Exhibit Spaces This year, we are offering two options for exhibit space - the standard 10 x 10 Exhibit Booth and a limited number of smaller Wall Exhibits. All booth space will be for two days. 10x10 Exhibit Booth Information and Fees The cost of a 10x10 Exhibit Booth for two days is $3,000. This includes credentials for two people to attend the tradeshow and a 10'x10' pipe and drape booth (to include one skirted 6'x24" table, two chairs, a 7"x40" booth identification sign with 2 lines of text, and wastebasket) and one LeadsPlus Mobile App per company. Any additional items needed for the exhibit will need to be ordered through Veal Convention Services. Exhibits must stay within the 10'x10' booth space - this is a fire marshall standard. Exhibits will be arranged as not to obstruct the general view nor hide the exhibits of others.

2 A plan for specialty built displays must be submitted to no later than July 13, We will attempt to accommodate exhibitor's request but make no guarantees that we will be able to accommodate specialty built displays. Specialty built displays include any display needing large amounts of electricity, exceeding 8' in height, trailer mounted displays, or displays incorporating large parts or mechanical equipment that cannot be carried by hand. A fork lift is available on Monday, August 20. Please contact Veal Convention Services for rental ((205) ) The exhibit hall is not carpeted. The show will provide aisle carpeting, but booth carpet must be purchased through Veal Convention Services. A lunch buffet will be provided inside the vendor showcase for all attendees and exhibitors. Wall Exhibit Information and Fees The cost of a wall exhibit for two days is $1,600. This includes credentials for two people to attend the tradeshow and a 6'x8' wall with standup only space, 42 monitor, highboy table, and one LeadsPlus Mobile App per company. No additional booth displays or signage will be allowed. No chairs or additional tables will be allowed for purchase of this space. No additional attendees will be allowed for purchase of this space. Veal Convention Services will provide an HDMI cord, VGA cord and an (unpowered) electrical outlet at each wall exhibit. One power connection will need to be purchased from the Birmingham- Jefferson Convention Complex by the exhibitor in order to activate the power outlet. Refer to Electrical Needs on page 4 for the link to purchase power. Due to the close proximity of the wall exhibits, audio is not recommended. If you would like your company logo featured in the panel space above the monitor, please your logo as a high-resolution file (.eps or.ai) to g2scgtconf@southernco.com by Friday, August 1. A lunch buffet will be provided inside the vendor showcase for all attendees and exhibitors. Additional Attendees Two additional attendees are allowed per 10 x10 exhibit booth. (No additional attendees are allowed for Wall Exhibits.) The cost is $200 per additional attendee per day. If you would like to add the two additional attendees for both days of the tradeshow, this will add $800 to the initial amount of $3,000. One name badge will be printed for each registered attendee. If there are different attendees attending different days of the show, they will need to wear the original printed name badge (even if it s not the correct name).

3 If you would like more than four attendees, additional booths will need to be purchased. Each additional booth (which includes credentials for two people) is the same pricing listed under booth fees. More than four credentials will only be provided with purchase of additional booths. Conference Notebook Purchase of a booth before May 1 will include your company logo in the attendee conference notebook. Please send your company logo as a high-resolution file (.eps or.ai) to g2scgtconf@southernco.com by June 1 to be included in the notebook. Payment After registering, Veal Convention Services will send you an invoice via the contact s provided for the total amount owed for the trade show. Payment is nonrefundable. Credit card information is due at the time of registration in order to reserve your space. If credit card information is not provided at the time registration is submitted, no space will be reserved. Credit card charges will appear on your statement as being posted by Veal Convention Services. Credit cards will be charged when the order is placed. Once the credit card is charged, you will receive a receipt via . Shipping ALL shipping needs to be directly to Veal Convention Services. Nothing should be shipped directly to the BJCC. 4 Electrical Needs Electricity will be available as an option to exhibitors through the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex (at a cost to the exhibitor). Electrical orders must be received 20 days prior to arrival. All electrical wiring exhibit displays must be approved and meet local fire department regulations. All materials used in exhibit construction must be fire retardant. If ordered on-site there will be an additional fee assessed. Use the following link to order electrical service for your exhibit booth or wall exhibit directly from the BJCC - If you have any questions regarding electrical needs, please contact (205) or the BJCC's Service Desk. Internet Access Wireless internet access will be available to exhibitors through the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Center. Connect to the SSID labeled as SOC, and use the password august2018. Set Up and Registration Set up and registration for all exhibitors will occur on Monday, August 20 between 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. until the show begins (11:00 a.m.) on Tuesday, August 21. You may set up the morning of Tuesday, August 21, but please note the aisle carpet will be installed on Monday night. If you choose to set up Tuesday morning, only hand carry items will be allowed. Exhibitors may set up at any point during this time. Move-Out Move-out will occur immediately following the show end time of 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 22. Assignment and Relocation of Exhibits The 2018 tradeshow floor plan is included on the home page of the registration site. This floor plan is subject to change up until the first day of the show. After registering, you will receive a registration confirmation that will include a link to select a booth or wall exhibit space. Exhibit spaces need to be selected by Friday, August 10. Registered exhibitors who have not selected an exhibit by August 10 will be assigned one. Exhibit selection is first come, first serve You will need to include your exhibit space number on your forms to Veal Convention Services and your form to BJCC if you have electrical needs. We reserve the right to make the final determination of all space assignments in the best interest of the tradeshow. We reserve the right to alter the location of exhibit spaces, at our sole discretion in the best interest of the tradeshow.

5 Door Prize Drawings Exhibitors may provide door prizes that do not exceed $100 in value or purchase a spot on the Technical Conference Punch Card giveaway for $250. If you choose to bring your own door prize, you will be responsible for bringing all items needed to collect business cards/attendee information to draw a winner (fishbowl, information cards, pens, etc.). We will have a microphone available for door prize drawings at 1:40 p.m. each day of the trade show. Please provide which day(s) you plan to give a door prize on the Register tab. No alcohol will be allowed to be given as a door prize. We will have 20 spots available for the Technical Conference Punch Card giveaway for $250 each. You will need to indicate on the registration form that you would like to be a punch card sponsor and the amount will be included with your booth payment. Each company may only purchase one spot on the card. The attendees will receive one card each day that includes 10 companies and their booth number. They will have to visit all 10 company booths and have their card punched fully to be entered to win the punch card giveaway at the end of the tradeshow each day. The person must be present to win. Combined Innovation Session Exhibitors are invited to attend a Combined Innovation Session on Wednesday, August 22 from 8:00 10:50 a.m. in the BJCC Concert Hall. There will be a continental breakfast available from 6:30 8:00 a.m. in the BJCC Concert Hall. Promotional Items If you are interested in sending promotional items such as pens, notepads, stress balls, etc. (no fliers, brochures, etc.), please contact Meaghan Childs at g2scgtconf@southernco.com by Friday, July 20. Promotional items must be provided for all attendees (approximately 1,200-1,500), and will be given out at attendee registration. Sponsorship If you are interested in sponsoring an attendee break or lounge area, please contact Meaghan Childs at g2scgtconf@southernco.com by Friday, July 20. Abstracts There will be an option to enter in abstract information on the registration form until Friday, May 4 if your company is interested in submitting an abstract to present during the conference. Once the abstract is submitted, it will be sent to the appropriate session facilitator along with the contact information provided. From that point, the session facilitator will contact you directly if your abstract is selected or if they desire additional information.
