1 It s OK to Make Money! How to Create Rules and Plans with Pricing Planner Session Q&A

2 1. Where are these "Sensitivity Codes" in the EFM data and where are they shown in IMU application? We buy most items directly from Orgill. So the sensitivity is not fed into EFM from Orgill. I do believe that Orgill does offer an Excel spreadsheet of sensitivity codes, though. With that, you can import it into Pricing Planner. 2. Is Pricing Planner sold separately as add-on to Eagle? Yes, Pricing Planner is an add-on product. 3. Is the Mobile Shopper Application for your phone available for use by anyone, or is it a purchase option? With Pricing Planner, I believe you get 5 licenses of Mobile Shopper. 4. What about the difference between$1.99 and $2.09? or $19.99 vs $20.99? You do have the ability to round down if you like. I do think customers think twice when they have to pull more than one $20 bill out of their pocket, but anything under $20 is pretty flexible. 5. In IMU, can you briefly go over the different costs that are listed (replacement cost, manufacturer cost, average cost, and market cost) and what does each of them mean? Which cost should we use as we enter the cost of replacement items? Replacement cost is the cost for which you last purchased the product. Manufacturer cost is the cost from the manufacturer. A retailer must input this. Average cost is the average of all of the purchases for your last 10 purchases. Market cost is primarily used for lumber and commodity products. It is input through IPC. 6. Item Set in your example what happens if you add items to Department 5? Do you have to go back in and update the item set each time you do price changes to see if anything is unchecked? No, you don't have to do any updating. If you add items to Dept. 5, Pricing Planner will automatically pick those items up in the rule. 7. Does the analysis reflect sales to different price matrix levels or just based on Retail price? It is just based on retail price. 8. We are currently on Pricing Planner. What is the recommended time frame or how often should a person go in and run Pricing Planner? If you have a pricing plan set developed in Pricing Planner, you should not spend any time. Ultimately, you would schedule the plan to run automatically, and then not even have to open the program unless you decide you want to make a change. 9. Is all of this available on older versions of Eagle or only on Eagle N Series? Pricing Planner is an add-on product, but is available for Release 21 and higher. Eagle N Series is not required.

3 10. When we order a replacement item, should we be putting the cost of that item in the replacement cost column? Yes, but if you're receiving a PO, it should update that cost for you. 11. How does having Margin Master change or affect using this set of tools? Would this override the MM then? Pricing Planner would be used in place of Margin Master. Both tools create variable pricing, but Pricing Planner has many benefits over Margin Master. Examples include being able to schedule your plan to run so you don t have to do those steps and no time spent importing and exporting data with Pricing Planner to get Catalog pricing or your store pricing information into Pricing Planner that is necessary with Margin Master. 12. I am new to this. How do I get into or find out if I have the option to use Pricing Planner? Please contact your Account Manager. They should be able to let you know. 13. Is Pricing Planner a separate program or is it contained within another program? We currently don t use it. Pricing Planner is an add-on product to Eagle. 14. So, when does this really take effect? Does it apply to when you build new SKUs, or is it only for existing SKUs? As long as you're building rules for all areas of your store, when you add SKUs to your system, they'll automatically be picked up in your rules. 15. Do you have the ability to run pricing rules/plans per User Code(s)? Yes, you can build rules from user codes. 16. If you have Pricing Planner, with the foundation package, do you need Performance Manager to see the Analytics in IMU? This is actually looking at a couple of different topics. Pricing Planner is not required, nor is Performance Manager. To access Analytics in IMU, you just need Eagle N Series along with the Technology Foundation Pack (TFP). 17. If you update prices with Pricing Planner, does Eagle automatically produce new bin tags? You would process and print your bin tags like you always have in Eagle. That process will not change. 18. Does Pricing Planner give you a list of labels that need to be printed? Yes, Pricing Planner loads the price changes into IPC.

4 19. Can you explain how to put segmentation into a plan for margin exceptions? The first step would be creating the segment code in Segmentation, then assign at least one item to the segment code in the assign tab. Once this has been done, in Manage Prices in the Item Set Selection, you can select the segment code and build a rule for that segment code as you would build all other rules.
