Your Council Product Sales Team, Kimberly & Sonia Our hero cat mascot is named after our 2016 MagNut top seller Mikayla from Troop 310 in Albuquerque (she had a total of $1299 in sales)! What is the MagNut Sale? The Council Product Program department focuses on money-earning activities that help sustain both our Council and troops through two annual programs - the fall MagNut Sale and the spring Cookie Sale. The word MagNut is an abbreviated term we use in Girl Scouts to define the two categories of our sale - Magazines and Nuts. Since 2012, we have expanded the sale to include chocolates and various gifts. Proceeds earned from the MagNut Sale can offset either all, or a large part of the cost of Girl Scout activities and relieve parents of this obligation, too! This year, the door-to-door sale is 3 weeks: September 29 October 22, The online sale is 2 months: September 29 November 30, parents You play a very important role in helping girls achieve success. In addition to all your love, support and inspiration, there are some specific responsibilities you ll need to assume to ensure your girl s MagNut sale is a success: Help your Girl Scout set goals and coach her on how to sell. Make sure your Girl Scout does not take orders prior to the sale start date, September 29, You should collect money for all paper magazine (which includes photo books, calendars, & greeting cards), tumblers, and veggie garden orders up front.
